Pretty bold statement to say JD never made very good products. A year later the introduction of the JD 8000 series put these tractors to shame. AGCO struggled branding all these tractors. Same tractor had 3 or 4 different names.
Olive had a CVT they were close to production on. White killed it in favor of a 6x6 that never made it to market. AGCO killed the 6x6 to go total power shift. Then AGCO bought Fendt to get the CVT. Old is new.
Agco took on Fendt in the North American market with an IVT transmission. At that time JD and Case were using a CVT and "PowerShift" that couldn't touch the precision of Fendt.
IH patented their Vari-Torque transmission in 1981. The patent expired in 1996, the same year Fendt introduced their Vario. Steyr showed their CVT too, but waited till 2000 before going into serial production, with a better product than Fendt.
Nice video!! I'm a Case guy but love all the old promos. Funny how they finally got around to a tilt hood case had that in 78 and the Cummins engine is just as much Case as Cummins.
No pressure then Mr Ratcliffe! That’s not just a dealer pep-talk. It’s a lecture and a warning to move metal or move along by being replaced by more hungry dealers.
Agco made a big mistake dropping all the older brands. Agco Allis was still orange and had a triangle, it was the successor of AC. Challenger,Fent and Valtra don't mean anything to me as brands. One of the speakers said he had made their dealerships worth more since Agco took over. I wonder if White and Agco Allis dealers agree with that statement now?
Reliability and honesty are the best market sellers of any product and word of mouth, not spending millions on advertising . Put that money into Dealership awardships for providing great service.
Great vid👍if anyone who understands n love tractors listens to AGCO CEO described how they brought Hesston, MF n their vision for AGCO n now who laughing after buying Fendt they have gone gang busting as business. I wish AGCO could offer AC model, drop MF range n that offers all AGCO best in tractors to offer tractor like 2020 Magnum but without Fendt expensive range. Offer full range Gleaner harvest n hay range instead putting Fendt name on combine. I know some AGCO dealerships can’t offer some services because they don’t have technical support backup, their are to small in Australia compared other two brands. I enjoyed this vid👍
Good looking tractors, unfortunatunely we don't have those in Europe, but there is pretty same tractors as White or Agco Allis sold as MF, Same, Lamborghini and Deutz Hope to see film about Agcostar tractors someday.
I remember when the white tractors color was white and yellow now they have alot more gears than tractors in the 1970s even 30 years ago OMG 11 19 2O22

@@jeremymayer2454 yea that makes sense the 60 series was kinda a mistake on Deere’s part. Not that there bad tractors or any thing I think there awesome but they were Kinda behind the 8 ball and should have released the 8000 At the same time as the 7000 .
I thought Ratliff would had learned a lot from IH but just think they trashed all the Heritage which would have sold the same tractor he shows just with a color look and model number that was in line with those Clover green and Prairie Gold colors . And just 7 years later a man from Italy that came in with Fiat actually Pulled off 2 brands on a common platform. CNH
Back in the good ol' days of agco when we all had hope that they could pull it off, keep all the brands alive Then again we had Ratliff and Allis Gleaner Company was thrown around alot.
The ceo kind of passes the buck on the reason deere took over number one. The main reason was the ten and twenty series tractors were way more modern than what anyone else had. And the 560 problems as well.
Instead of just sticking with AGCO Allis, they kept bringing on new product names to try and support dealers, promotions, innovations to multiple brands with differences and marketing. What a mistake they made. Should of been Agco Allis and purchase Allis Chalmers name back, Gleaner followed by Hesston and Fendt.
These are great tractors. Still see a lot of them in use today.
These old promos were brutal. Love them. Still know several people running White tractors in their fields today.
WHAT a huge jump ahead by White AGCO to bring a Cummins powered Tractor that gave Deere and Case a darn good run.

that shot with the tractors rolling out of the smoke is the best
I’d they would make one of those cows say “What the f*ck” I would get out of my chair right now and go buy a White

Is that gearshift built by Funk by any chance ? I seem to recall that Ford used it in their TW series replacements, like the 8630/8730 & 8830.

Should have had the cows talk when it drove by.
They are the same as Massey Ferguson not?
The mustache game was on point
Extremely bold of them to challenge the magnum. John Deere, very understandable, but not case
Eh case magnum eat that white tractor all day

Modern acoo trators a just yelow fents with us spacks
I love the oddball tractors allis,mm,oliver ,white you dont see them as often
What about, Duetz, lambergini, hesston, Fiat U.S?
What did so many brands of tractor in is the fact farm after farm went out of business.

Fast forward 10 years. AGCO dumped the product line names of Allis Chalmers, White and Heston. All took a back seat to become MF rebranded equipment.
I'm not sure if they met their dreams of killing the Magnum :)
Mr Ratliff was a visionary and a great promoter.

Like how they don’t show like a 7800 or something for Deere witch was the current tractor at the time but they show a 4440 from 10 years prior 😂
6175 (which was shown) was bigger than a 7800. Deere's tractor in this class would have been a 4560

Nothing beats a Cummins diesel, just ask Deere who recently had to bow down to Cummins to reduce emissions.
And this was the down fall of allis ,,,
White did Oliver in to !! Sad,,, great tractors,,
And Minnesota Moline white should of kept there hands off of Oliver Moline and Cockshutt
They should have kept the White line. Not MF. So sad for me
AGCO was jealous cause the 4960 at that time was a nicer lookin tractor then the 6100 series
3:15 can they be any more dramatic? XD
Funk=JohnDeere NOT Agco
Maybe now but not in 1993. Btw if john Deere's In house built powershift of the day was so great why buy Funk?
@@6rowmafia943 because JohnDeere always bought who they feared.
