@@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses thanks for the reply, sorry I meant to say : is 3 better than 1 (or does that not make any difference) rather than should they be permanently or temporarily placed.
I was goint to make one with a bucket on top so it can just gravitt feed. A gallon at a time is enough for desert joshua trees and ocotillo. You can make it from threaded iron pipe, pound it in the ground and put a garden hose adapter on it
That device looks to be just the ticket to do as you describe however, won't repeated waterings loosen the dirt there-by loosening the grip the roots have to the mud? Making the tree more susceptible to blow overs?

Hi is the fertilizer helpful for established pecan trees?
Yes, you can use our BYN fertilizer for the trees even though it is more developed for plants and flowers than trees. But yes, it will help.
Thanks for this video! Would having 3 of these placed around the perimeter of the tree be better than 1? Or is 1 enough?
They aren't meant to be permanently placed but are used to water deeply periodically.

How do you know that it's working deep in the ground and not blocked with soil or rocks? Thank you for sharing this. ❤
You can hear the water running.
I'm curious if there's a way to make it automated on a timer
Absolutely, they could be set up on a hose timer.
Thank you!

Where should I put one of these for my older tree. Will it help the tree grow more down ward instead of ripping up my concrete?
You poke around the base and water the roots. You don't just leave it in.

Not likely, but it will help in developing the roots and therefore make the tree stronger.
