It's film makers like yourself who remind me how lovely England can be. Get away from crowded places and it rivals anywhere in the world. I've lived in France for 18 years and love it here but still miss the English countryside. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent job on this, so glad you can finally get out and enjoy the scenery. I went out the other day for a 4-hour Brompton trip and by chance happened to have left my phone at home, so no Google Maps. Navigating with my brain as you do without much of a plan, very much more enjoyable!
Nice trip, nice video. I chose excerpts from most of your video, but watched uninterrupted once you reached the downs. I'm thinking of taking up solo touring again which I used to dabble in, but this time biking (Brompton) rather than hiking, at the youthful age of 71. No-one would believe I'm that age if I didn't tell them 😄.
@@terrysallbikes _"still touring"_ Not yet. _"used to"_ is the operative phrase. As for solo touring, that goes WAY back - only once or twice, in the hiking form, and *really* dabbling. More recently (up to a few years ago) done one or two Brompton sorties in groups ranging from 3 to 10 days. Experience will inform me if I'm still up to the solo camping stuff. I don't see why not. And I have the bonus of still being the proud owner of an excellent Saunders tent. But I can't avoid the fact that - as fit as I believe I am for my age - I'm no longer in my 20's and 30's as I was back then. Btw I posted yesterday quite a long post with questions regarding your baggage setup, in your video *_Brompton Touring, the Bags,_* but it seems to have been swallowed up by the dreaded UA-cam bots - unless I forgot to post it, but I don't think that's likely. Very frustrating, particularly as I didn't make a separate copy of the post! If I get a chance to write it again, I'll repost.
Watching this video with you up the mountain, the first thing I thought was this would be a great place for operating a ham radio and then you point out the mast. I don’t know the actual mountain you were on, but I bet it’s a SOTA (Summits On The Air) peak that someone is activating, it’s a lot of fun and using a bike to get to your operating location helps to blend multiple hobbies.
Thanks for the video. I also have the 44T chainring - have you ever been tempted to go down further to the H&H 40T chainring? I never use the 3+ hardest gear on my Brompton so I'm considering it.
Great video, my friend! Enjoyed watching your trip, your bushcraft skills are terrific! And the surrounding nature is amazing. Cheers from Russia, Terry, and welcome to my channel about Russian bushcraft tips and secrets! Kind regards, Yuriy!

Couldn’t agree more, it’s difficult to find true wilderness on a Brompton, but it feels good to come close
Just found your channel - great video, magnificent scenery and great adventure

71 and still touring, I can only hope I’m able to follow in your wheel tracks.

I met a very interesting guy up there that does indeed use his CB radio there on a regular basis.
Slug of wine and Terry'..............life's good!! Stay Safe!

There are times when it would be useful for sure, I may well change at some time
Nice video
Thanks
16" or 20" wheels are you using sir?
It’s 16” on the Brompton
Very nice.
