Working my way through the episodes Matt. Loving them as my family came from SE England originally ( I am an Aussie) and one reason I started with Richards channel.
I have just been back there today for the first time in many years. I used to live in nearby Upper Bridge Road and the common was my regular refuge after stressful days at work, so I used to walk up that bit you walked in this video from Whitepost Hill. Spent many an hour up there relaxing and watching the planes fly in and out of Gatwick. Moved away to the South Coast in 2009, but was lovely to go back today and see what it's like these days, many memories. Thought I'd see if there was anything on You Tube of it and found your video. Good stuff.
Spent a lot of time playing on the common. There was a brick building near the bottom end of the common near the Hospital, I think it belonged to the War dept. never found out its purpose.

The two sandstone cottages belong to my parents. I grew up there. My family built St. John's Church.
