I am Indonesian, and I prefer foreigner not because of financial matter (because me myself already happy with my own financial status). For me the reasons more about being independent, free, supportive, and open-minded in the relationship (those are very important to me). As I had few bad experiences with dating Indonesian man and also seen it from my family, which is for me was quite depending on the lady for example in doing house chores, help in the kitchen, cook, etc.

Ya gimana ya, pria di Indonesia saja banyak yang merendahkan wanita di negaranya sendiri. Apalagi kalau baca komentar mereka dimedia sosial, cukup miris dari ngatain fisik sampai perkataan yang bener-bener melecehkan. Di kehidupan nyata juga tak jauh miris, dilingkungan gue aja, banyak yang lakinya diem dirumah, tapi si ceweknya kerja. Tapi giliran cewek Indo nya lebih memilih laki-laki dari negara lain, dikatain matre lah, murahan lah. Tanpa mau intropeksi untuk meningkatkan valuenya sendiri.
I found indonesian girls and womens loyal and also hard working womens. I am not in relationship but I can say that every man of ours should treat his woman well and give her a life of her choice in which she is happy.
She was not lie to you. I would say most of the guys specially eastern indonesian men dont respect their women without notice that they didnt respect their women. There is many indonesian men that also respect their women, but just difficult to find them. Specially in eastern indonesia
You probably meet somebody that native from west timor based on what u said.
Dont forget indonesia has 1.340 tribes with 718 differents languages So every palces have different culture different way of thinking, different attitude. What you see in jakarta, bali or surabaya could be completely different to the other places.
I remember my father wont have his lunch or dinner if there is no fish on the table, you maybe wont believe that, but thats true his thingking was he was provider in the house so he have to be treated like king or boss. But he wont even went to the market to get fish. He said its the women job, the men wont do that, its part becouse he will be shame if one of his friend found out that. But becouse he was like that my mom was struggling to kept provide the fish on the table. There was also a thinking that they more women (quantity) like you the more handsome you are. Some men even think its ok to beat or hit your wife. Now it doesn't mean they would always like that, sometimes they can be really nice.
For me even know im an indonesian. I only once in a relantionship with an indonesian guy, becouse that kind of attitude and its not easy to find an indonesian guy that can respect women. I knew some of the men but they had gf and was really in love. I had no chance 😂😂😂

Betul, budaya patriarki di Indonesia masih kuat. Dan dari soal attitude saja, bisa dinilai di media sosial, sering menemukan komentar dari para laki2 di Indonesia yang merendahkan kaum perempuan di Indonesia. Mereka juga lebih suka wanita asing dengan komentarnya yang memojokan fisik wanita se negaranya sendiri.

This is why men have to earn more because the women won't pay the bills. Everyone knows this exept the politicains.
No that part of it is the truth. They only thing they may lie about is wanting to get married and having a long term relationship. She's not going to admit to anyone ever that she would just like a casual hookup with an exotic foreigner - unless of course, you make her feel completely OK with it. If you're fun to be around and can awaken her naughty side - trust me, in Timor they generally do not care for money or marriage or anything like that. Especially educated ones who are happy with their own job, their independence, and making their own money.

@@MinimalistNomad Yes, every part of Indonesia is different and each group has a different relationship with money. Toraja in central Sulawesi, for example, has a tradition of killing buffaloes at a funeral to display status, burying items with their dead, and many of their festivities involve "making it rain" with large piles of rupiah. One of the women I met there tried asking for money from me, not unlike what Filipina women are known for.
Agree to some points. Was in west java couple of weeks ago have been going for years spent time with extended no biological family. Through friends met the local chief of police in the village. He said there are thousands of single mum's I looked at him with a strange look. He didn't need to explain I knew straight way what the reason was. The Indo man is always looking for something younger ( sorry but in my experiences this keep ringing true) and also been confirmed to me by many, many people I know. No disrespect to the locals.
Yes the men can be over powering and childish which creates negativity, and the women don't like it at all. I hear it daily lol.

They want security, a future and the shallow ones status.
Age they want maturity they are sick to death of playing childish games.
Children: some want mixed race children, in their eyes they are far more attractive and perhaps may have a better future.
Just like everyone on the planet they want an easy life, stress free and a family with financial security.
Oh by the way if you make a promise to an indo woman, you had better keep if not you will wish you did.
Anyway that's just my observations. Yes you can fly from Dilli with Airnorth but hope you have a shite load of money coz AUS has become mega expensive just to survive.

You are correct,... why i love western man, because they never tell me if i am jelek, he always tell me that i am sangat cantik and love the my kindness and my natural, But many Indonesian men and also the Indonesian girls tell me that i am jelek and pesek, even a kuli pasar will never interested to me😂😂
From what i see everytime i come across bule or foreigners on the street, train station, random places, they look very reserved and seem to always avoid eye contacts with us (Indo girls). They walked so fast forward it gives us impression they dont want to be bothered. And often they are not alone but with a woman or in groups and they only talk with each other. They dont care with surroundings. They dont put q smiley face and always avoid eye contact with the people around them. That makes us feeling afraid to approach first. If you guys want to approach indo girls, do it casually and just go for it.. make eye contact, smile and nod a lil bit, and start with Hi or converse about something. Dont be afraid because indo girls usually always wanting to talk and less negative thoughts and less suspiciousnes. They take things simple and very relaxed as a person. And again dont bring a woman near you. Go around alone and approach first and take things from there!

Oh, so you made it to Kupang? There's not a lot to see there, and so there are very few foreigners. That said, the women are really nice! It also has the best pork restaurant in Indonesia outside of Bali, in my opinion. The late night fish markets are also worth checking out.

As others have said, I think a great deal of it is financial security but no one wants to say this because they look like a gold digger. Lighter skin is also a factor because this is a beauty standard in many cultures around the world. Western culture often emphasizes women’s rights more which can appeal to them. In general, I think women want to be with someone they can respect and be proud of so you’ll need some positive quality that will make them happy.

1. Because physically western men are more taller and different type of face than asian men, that's truth. And everything which different always bring curiousity and more interesting.
2. Asian men mostly treat women have lower position than men. Women need to obey and listen to their men. And asian men don't like to help about housework, they just know to work and provide money for family's need.
3. Western men are more freely to choose their women. Because here in our culture, yeah i can say the parents or family still want to drive how the way u choose your woman/man. I found that many parents still want to interfered their son's/daughter's relationship. Need to have same social status, figure out whats the parents job, the place they come from. Some parents prefer to have son in law/daughter in law from same hometown and also same religion. For western man i think this is not a big deal, if they love their woman/man so that's it, no have problem with parents or family as long as u are happy with your lover.

But yeah if we talk about build relationship, it's always come from your heart, how u feeling about him/her, have some chemistry or not. Western or not depends also about their personality.
Point 3 is absolutely spot on: yes, in Western societies parents almost never interfere. You chose your partner, that's it.
I was married to Indonesian woman and really very strange when first dating and The actual clear after living there also.Number is Uang Money Number 1 for sure because they know Indo never even offer jobs to foreginers according to the laws there unless work permit by much money second is Getting visa to get out of stress and better life espcially if the husband from rich country$ , I dont say 100% but at least 90% of Mindset... OKAY number three may be social status more looking better .. iNDONESIA is amuslim country with salries range from 70$ till 300$ the highest ..rELATIONSHIP IN iNDONESIA IS NOT EAST AT ALL.. THE problem is not foreginer or Blue respect more NO is not that the indonesian man knows the cultures very well whom he grows in it and dont accept the bullshit some time and that is why thes eIndo women prefer Bloeh (blue)

I think your channel will be a whole lot better if you sat down and interview this woman one-on-one so we could see and hear her answers it would be more useful other UA-camrs do the same type of thing and I get more out of it than you just trying to explain answers for her these are things you need to do in front of the camera and let her talk and explain herself

About "respecting women" in the west, I was married for 15 something years there. My ex, she was clear to me, she was gonna do everything in the home. It wasn't my choice, it was hers, she was also very jealous, bordering on insantity.
There were no women running after me, I've never been a "woman's man", she had those ideas though and every time I even mentioned another woman, she'd punish me, not physically of course, but she made me suffer.
Now, eventually she left me, and it's a hard blow. How you live with someone who's more or less consumed by you, whatever you do, it's big news to her. And then, she's gone, 'n you soon find out what you already knew, most ladies don't care 'bout you, or more precisely, most ppl don't. Is a tough blow, but it is what it is.

On the issue of money, some people will often make the statement that it's all about the money. But I think it's different with each person. I think a potential more correct theme could be that money is absolutely a requirement. It's not everything. I found that in Indonesia, aside from the occasional exception, if you're not going to engage in a very long-term relationship with a woman then they absolutely will ask you for money. It seems transactional. I have also had the experience where a woman would love to spend weeks with me or any amount of time, But she expects some luxury in the form of some halfway decent hotels, great food, and a little travel. Otherwise, she could have get the same from an Indonesian man. But there are certainly some women who are just happy to spend time with another fun or a kind individual at no cost.
