Always great with your chat, to accompany your unboxings, Mark! I think Rob's comments are hilarious sometimes, "No asbestos here", he he! It's a cool buggy! It's totally my style, but for some reason I've completely missed it, and probably won't manage to get me one anytime soon. But at least then I can watch it on UA-cam, he he. Wonderful with these donations, what a great dude this RC Junkie!
Hi Mads, got to agree about Rob's comments, he has me in stitches most of the time! 😅 but yeah I think this buggy is totally you! Pity you missed it but I'll share mine with you on the Tube! It really is amazing the generosity of people in our little RC community ❤ and RC Junky is a great example! Definitely a great dude 👌 Cheers mate! 😎 🤝👍
I used to have the Super Astute I upgraded from the Astute, I used to race it back in 92 at the local club in Worcester at Perdiswell Leisure centre. It was a great car. I will get another one now I've started a collection.
Hi Gary, great to hear you are a seasoned Astute driver and are now building a collection! I hope you can get one of these lovely buggies again! Best of luck to you! 🤞😁👊👍
I love it Steve, yes an awesome donation and a fantastic buggy! Agreed, those neon stickers are going to look fab when it's finished! All the best - cheers! 🍻😎👍
What a beauty of a kit, Mark! Bearings, slipper, chassis under tray, this thing is gonna be a beast! Looking forward to the build, pal. The wife is, too. She loves watching the David Attenborough of RC! 😂👊🏼🍻
Oh yes pal, this kit has a lot going for it! Should be a real performer with that special motor in it too! I'll make sure to put my best talking voice on for Bre! Cheers my mate! 🍻😁👊👍
Very cool channel donation and a nice unboxing especially opening up all the bags etc. Super astute ate capable buggy’s once you address a few things on them although it was a big improvement on the original astute. Looking forward to seeing yours. I have one to start building hopefully tomorrow, didn’t bother with an unboxing this time though. Good luck
Hi there Andy, always great to read you, fella! Thanks for the heads up! Awesome that you have got one too, I must keep an eye out for your videos about it so I can tap into your wisdom! Have fun with it my friend! 😎👊👍
Super cool donation to the channel!!! You are going to enjoy building up this one Mark, it is a really nice kit. Just mind the small e-clips are for the shocks despite what the scale drawings indicate! LOL!
Thanks Addam and yes a wonderful donation from RC Junky!!! I absolutely 💯 love ❤ it! Don't worry pal, I have taken good heed of your sage advice 😉 This RC community we have here helps in so many ways! Thanks and all the best my friend! 🙏😎👍

Cracking donation, and a sweet kit. I had one a few years back but stupidly sold it on 😭 so hoping i can grab another before they all dissapear again for good 🤞
I was very lucky to get one for Christmas this year, I think this is the first video of this latest re-re of this kit. Not many videos out there so really looking forward to seeing this one
Hi Adrian, awesome that you got one of these beauties for Christmas! Have you built it yet? There are a few more videos of this kit popping up now but there won't be too many as it's a limited release! Enjoy your Super Astute! 😁👊👍

Lovely donation Mark, I look forward to your build, and now I urge for a donation of a sand scorcher kit for Mark to build, as for my personal taste it's a iconic tammy that really is so cool, I've owned two the first one was 42 years ago!!! Yes I'm an old fella, I do intend on building number three, anyway thanks for your upload mate 👍🙏🐱

Thanks for the chat and catch you later mate! 🍻😎🤝👍
Ooh yes what a smashing donation that is! Does look well specced as you say what with the slipper and planetary diff. I don't understand why planetary diffs aren't used more because it seems to me that they work better in that you aren't transferring the power through 90 degrees twice like with bevels and they would seem to be easier to make? Anyway this is one that I haven't got nostalgia for because it's from the era when I was out of the hobby but loving the late 80's/early 90's whacky graphics and the whole thing does look designed to race. Enjoy the build mate and wishing you a lovely weekend 😁👍👍
Oh yes Pete I'm so chuffed with this kit thanks to RC Junky! The spec is awesome as you say and I agree about the diff and how bevel gears waste a lot of power when transferring drive through 90 degrees. I would imagine this will be pretty nippy with the straight gears and that lovely motor I have! I missed this back in the 90's when it was released as the Astute. I may have to go box art to do those graphics justice! All the best mate and a lovely weekend to you too. Cheers! 🍻😎👍

Hey Mark, what a great gift indeed! The Super Astute does seem to be at first glance a slightly expensive, but taking another look at it, it does seem to be a good value kit, for the components. I too have purchased the TZ motor for a project, the states do suggest more torque for buggy use, might need to run it in though 😂😊😂 looking forward to seeing the finished RC, enjoy the build my friend. I built one of these cars on the last re-release. It is a fun and simple build. The spur gear sticks out really far from the motor plate. It looks wrong but that is how it is supposed to be. When you build the car you will see what I mean. Thoughts?
Thanks for the info Alfred! Much appreciated 🙏 I have just injured my thumb so won't be able to build for a while 😬 I will give you my thoughts when I finally get the build videos done though. Cheers 😎 👍 🍻
Wicked, Mark! I got mine delivered this week and it’s a thing of beauty. I’ve always loved the 90s vivid colours, looks ace! What ESC do you think you’ll be using? I am not sure on the setup for mine yet, maybe the BZ like you’ve got, but no idea on the controller yet (and I really need to get into a Lipo setup, I feel!) Willl you be doing a build video on this? Hope so! 🤞
Nice one! Great to hear you got one as well! Definitely a thing of beauty from the wheels up! I'll probably slap a Tamiya or Hobbywing 1060 in it to go with the TZ motor and LiPo, should be fast enough! I will certainly be doing a build guide but I have the Tyrrell to do first! Cheers! 🍻😁👍
Hi Mark, I really want one of these too! Will you be tempted to ball-race all those suspension 'hinge pins' like the original Astute (think that's true, or was it just a hop-up?) I will if I can get one, modern touring car ideas 30 yrs ago, I love it! :)
Hi Ben, don't blame you for wanting one, it's a lovely kit! But no, I don't think the suspension pivots really need ball races. Not sure if the original Astute had them or not 🤔 Anyway, fingers crossed that you can get one! 🤞All the best 👍 😎👊
Where did you buy that superstock tz motor as i recently sold brand new one last month on ebay £34 free postage. Is exactly same spec as the bz im sure 99%
Wonderful buggy. Too bad it's very expensive and very fragile. Spares are expensive for what they are and the kit is limited therefore the parts are too.
@@MarkBryanRC Yes, the hard plastics will crack eventually. It can be modded but takes a lot of work. I have two cars and lots of spares. First drive and the steering rack cracked after a little bump and a hop. Lower arms alone are over 20€! Some new plastic parts might already have a thin crack on them. Ofc you can get printed parts but it's not worth it. Using some of the alu parts just shifts forces. Great car if you drive it carefully and now and then.
I've not heard of a limited run, I could be wrong though. My local hobby shop has said that they'll have plenty in stock, spares also. As for price, as long as it's not stupid money like over £400 that's fine with me. I've heard to expect a price of around £350 which is fine.
Cant wait for the Test drive now Mark. Youve got us on the hook kid☘️🤙👏👏👏👏
Thanks a ton Seamas! 🙏 Same here, this is going to be exciting I think! 🤩 All the best pal! 😎👊👍

What ESC do you think you’ll be using? I am not sure on the setup for mine yet, maybe the BZ like you’ve got, but no idea on the controller yet (and I really need to get into a Lipo setup, I feel!)
Willl you be doing a build video on this? Hope so! 🤞
Cheers! 🍻😁👍
Awesome kit I'm starting to see these kits all over the place. Did they just get rereleased?
Thanks Kev, yes I agree it's awesome! And yes it has just been re-re-released! Cheers! 🍻😎👍
@MarkBryanRC Ahh I see I don't know much about them truthfully.
No worries Kevin, ask Bob I'm sure he knows a lot about it, that guy is an encyclopedia!!!
@@MarkBryanRC I'm calling him right now.
Hi Mark, I really want one of these too! Will you be tempted to ball-race all those suspension 'hinge pins' like the original Astute (think that's true, or was it just a hop-up?)
I will if I can get one, modern touring car ideas 30 yrs ago, I love it! :)
Hi Ben, don't blame you for wanting one, it's a lovely kit! But no, I don't think the suspension pivots really need ball races. Not sure if the original Astute had them or not 🤔 Anyway, fingers crossed that you can get one! 🤞All the best 👍 😎👊
Ribbed for pleasure.. LMAO!!!! You gotta turn it inside out, feels better!!!!
Haha! Well you know me, Bob, it just slips out! Inside out!!! 🤣👍
Where did you buy that superstock tz motor as i recently sold brand new one last month on ebay £34 free postage. Is exactly same spec as the bz im sure 99%
I got the TZ from Amazon for £33. The specs say its 22000 revs and the BZ is 23000 revs.
First!!!
Gold medal award goes to Uncle Bob! 🥇 Where is Paul?!?!?!? 😅👊👍
@@MarkBryanRC I was dropping a video at the same time (well close to it) when your popped up, I was already on UA-cam so all I did was click on it..
@@UncleBobsRC A case of right place, right time then! 😁😁👍👍
@@MarkBryanRC LOL
Looks an awesome buggy mark👍Started the blitzer build today too.I have some of them cut ribs on a set of wheels for my dt03 they are decent.
How much are these and is it worth it atl?
They are about 240 mate but I think it's worth it for what you get 😉 👍
Wonderful buggy. Too bad it's very expensive and very fragile. Spares are expensive for what they are and the kit is limited therefore the parts are too.
Hi Kalle! Great to read you! Oh, it's fragile?!?!?! Gonna have to drive very carefully then! 😅 Cheers! 🍻😎👍
@@GTMatukka Many thanks for coming back and leaving some much appreciated advice, Kalle! I will be sure to take note! Best wishes mate!
@@MarkBryanRC This car goes to the "peeps won't mention the weak spots" -class, just like the DB-01's notorious maintenance. BLACK! BLACK!
I've not heard of a limited run, I could be wrong though. My local hobby shop has said that they'll have plenty in stock, spares also.
As for price, as long as it's not stupid money like over £400 that's fine with me. I've heard to expect a price of around £350 which is fine.
The package 📦 arrived at two very nice sympathetic guys, so everything went right !! 🙂🚗💕👌🏻🫡
Hey Ralf that's very kind of you to say! Thank you! 🙏😁👊👍
