As for the very first comment of the video, the fights are probably one of my less favorite aspects of bleach 🥺I'm pretty sure I'm almost alone on this one tho XD
It's his fight against Unohana. A close second is the one against Nnoitora but I put it second cuz I think that fight did a lot more for Nnoitora and finished his arc.
I personally have the unohana fight at number one, though that’s probably due to how good the adaptation was, ooh man that ost was immaculate. It’s above the nnoitora fight due to that one being a bit too long for my tastes
Love this ranking fights video idea. Id love to see it turn into a series. Byakuya or Toshiro would be great additions. They both have numerous battles.
The only fights I'd swap is Unohana vs Kenpachi and Nnoitora vs Kenpachi. While Nnoitora fits the criteria better and is as simple as it gets, the Unohana battle does it (for me) in a similar manner but has more sentimentality and to show the change and development that's been occurring with both of them from that battle. Overall, your content is always great and I appreciate the same thoughts on the why of things
I love the parallels between Kenpachi and Nnoitra. Both are driven by their lust for battle, both are defined by their relationship with a woman in their past, both are seen as beasts even by allies. However, Nnoitra is spiteful, while Kenpachi is generally good-natured. Nnoitra resented Nelliel, while Kenpachi admired Unohana. And Nnoitra dies in battle like a beast, just as he wanted, while Kenpachi is able to grow and mature, eventually truly earning both his title and position as a Captain.
His fight against Unohana was my favorite. Especially because of how well it was adapted in the TYBW arc. It was emotional, meaningful, just beautiful.
This fight animated was really dissapointing, don't care if they were in a dark place, was visually bad and not a epic fight at all, in the manga was better.
@@felipez3115Facts, it could have been so much better. They really dropped the ball, just like most of these fights so far. It should have been an ultimate sword fight, yet we get the most brief cuts of choreography. They just love to rush everything.
His fight against Unohana was the most meaningful and symbolic. Two monstrous mass murderers going at it for a legacy of blood, one to mend a past 'sin' and the other to become the ultimate weapon. There are also some interesting nuances to them, one remained a killing machine just waiting for a good fight yet spared the weak and defenseless, while the other put that away for a time to save lives rather than end them while her terrifying presence remained.
Honestly, Kenpachi's fight against Nnoitra is also my favorite fight, at least in the Anime. That moment where Nnoitra finally releases his Resurrección, Santa Teresa, always gives me chills
I love the first fight of his, Ichigo vs Zaraki. I will never forget watching it in the anime and just being so shocked that Zaraki would not go down, no matter how many times he was cut
It is also the first time I witnessed a zanpakuto as part of the soul of a soul reaper - such as when Zaraki destroyed Ichigo's zanpakuto that fight and it regenerated by itself midfight.
Nnoitra fight is probably my favourite, very down to earth (for a bleach fight). Nnoitra is my favourite espada and it’s hard to top ‘I’ll use 2 hands’ as a hype finisher.
"Don't just accept loss or defeat! Accept it after you're dead. If you lose without dying... it means that luck is on your side. If that happens - focus on surviving! Survive and Kill the one who couldn't kill YOU!"
Kenpachi vs Nnoitra for sure. I love how the Espadas taken down in Hueco Mundo were similar to the Captains who did it. This fight was understandably long since their durability is insane. My only nitpick is that Nnoitra should’ve released sooner against Nel considering she was an actual threat to him in base. After seeing Chad, Ichigo, and Nel fail to defeat Nnoitra we knew Kenpachi would get the job done in his awesome way. What’s more is how perfectly suited Kenpachi was to take him down not due to his strength, but as a person. Nnoitra displayed sexism, but thankfully they didn’t use that for his defeat. Instead they used his more glaring traits of being insecure and underhanded (the latter being literal when he pierced Kenpachi with his 3rd pair of arms). Kenpachi only cares about strength and fighting so that’s all their interaction required.
Ichigo has no idea how lucky he was when he first fought Kenpachi. That was Kenpachi's "weakest" state, like no shikai, no bankai, all his powers was limited by his subconscious and yet he managed to be captain. Also ironically Kenpachi "playing" with Ichigo kinda gave the latter a chance to become stronger. If Ichigo had faced any captains during that time, it be instant kill because they are all business unlike Kenpachi
I'd agree with all the placements except to switch Unohana and Nnoitara. The emotion of the fight against Unohana just takes Kenpachi to a whole new level of development. And after the anime it cemented the placement for me even more thoroughly

Totally agree about Nnoitra like it's a bloodbath that escalates really well and its probably the most even fights in the series. Choreography is fantastic as well like top tier shonen fight imo.
I was genuinely surprised to see you put the Nnoitra fight at the top. I think the Unohana fight is the best objectively. But the Nnoitra fight will always be my favorite of the Kenpachi bouts because Nnoitra is just such a fantastic character to me. Lol
I almost agree completely with your list, and I do agree with your reasonings. The only difference for me is that I'd swap Nnoitra with Tosen&Komamura I always loved that fight: I love Tosen's Ban Kai, but the main point of me liking this fight is what it does for the character of Zaraki. First of all, it depicts how strong the bond he has with his top three officers. Sure, we've already seen him defending Ikkaku from Kurotsuchi, but seeing him "imagining" Yachiru, Ikkaku and Yumichika giving him their opinion on how free himself from Enma Korogi was an incredible moment Second, as you said in your review, I love how after discovering he is not a dumb, blood-thirsty brute in his fight with Ichigo now we also discover he is not a dumb brute at all. He'll have plenty of moment in and outside battle to show us he's more than is brute strenght, but here was the first time we saw it Lastly, I loved how... un-racist, if it makes any sense, he is. I love his reaction when he sees Komamura's face, "I don't care how you look, the only thing I care is how strong you are" On the contrary, his fight with Nnoitra might be the "quintessential Zaraki fight" as you said, but it's also the one who does less for its character: as far as I remember we don't learn anything new about him, just that little hint of what will come with Unohana when he tells us how Yamamoto tried to teach him how to fight properly
I think the reason Unohana died was that otherwise, Kenpachi wouldn't have achieved his full potential. He might have benefitted from some sparring, but that would never be fast enough to get what they needed. Zaraki had to completely let go of his restraints and a battle to the death was the only way to trigger that in time.
@@daybreak2127 she unofficially lost the ‘title’ when she was a kid. Then there were 10 kenpachis in the middle. Then when Zaraki became official Kenpachi, she had to release the limiters she caused. Are you guys okay?
As someone who usually agrees with your takes, my list looks completely different, although I think this really just goes to show how excellent and fun pretty much all Kenpachi fights are. My number 1 is Kenpachi va Unohana, as it is one of only two Kenpachi fights that really has a deep, personal meaning to Kenpachi himself, and I feel like it delivers on that better than Kenpachi vs. Ichigo. Meanwhile, Kenpachi vs. Nnoitra is fine, but probably at the bottom of the list for the classic, good Kepachi fights for me. It's fun, but doesn't do much special other than it being Kenpachi's first real fight against a major villain. Meanwhile, I place Kenpachi vs. Tousen very high. Him dodging the swords after they touch him is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, and it's a rare instance where the battle loving barbarian is treated as the person in the right over the peace loving paladin type (without trying to infantilize or ridicule do-gooders in general), and that's interesting to me. One of my favorites, and quite underrated.
An AMV of Kenpachis fight against Ichigo is what got me into Bleach and its still my favourite. The whole buildup of Kenpachi being this immortal extreme overpowered Captain was just amazing!
While I love all of the Kenpachi fights, I have to give my favorite one to Ichigo vs Kenpachi. It’s a stellar introduction to what a Captain can do, an incredible example of Ichigo’s character growth, and features some of my favorite panels in the series.
Interesting. My list would look somewhat similar to yours, at least in the last half. I’d keep 9-6 the same, but then I’d have the Nnoitora fight in 5th. Like you said, it was a little too long for me and I can’t stand Nnoitora personally. 4th would be Komamura/Tosen, 3rd is the Gremmy fight, 2nd is the Unohana fight and 1st is the Ichigo fight, my favorite in the series. Kenny is my favorite character, so I love nearly all of his fights honestly.
His fight against Ichigo is definitely my favorite still, like you said that's where he was at his most intimidating. Has a ton of badass moments, and very emotional for both him and Ichigo.
Seeing how Kubo has joined the animators to try and fix the abrupt ending of TYBW, I really hope he fletches out the fight against Gerard even more and let’s Demon Kenpachi go crazy
I read a comment of a video of Kenpachi getting best by Fake Yhwach. It said that he lost because Jugram used his Schrift to match Kenpachi’s strength to the fake Yhwach.
@@ZarakiKenpachi1 Are you stupid? So the real Ywach was holding Zaraki by his throat, and then Yama showed up, and in front of Yama's eyes, Ywach left and Royd took his place whilst still holding Zaraki?? And Yama did not realize this?? LOL I think you need to stop with the wanking
Nnoitra fight is one of my top 5 bleach fights i rewatch it like i watch Ichigo vs Ulquiorra. Glad you picked it as number 1. You sir have great taste.
Unohana vs Kenpachi. It gave us an insane plot twist on a character we thought was simply a healer and it added depth to Zaraki’s background. The outcome of the battle allowed Zaraki to finally hear his zanpakuto and solidify himself as Thee Kenpachi. Unohana was the last captain of the Original Gotei 13. Her death helped set the tone: out with the old, in with the new. Their battle has been my favorite and the anime adaptation was well worth the wait.
I personally believe in an alternate universe where Zaraki and Nnoitra fight daily for years to the point Zaraki achieves Bankai and Nnoitra achieves ressuructio seconda and they have the best rivalry relationship ever.
hmm .. ONE thing that is very unfortunate did not happen from Kenny vs Unohana is the fact that she didn't teach him any swordsmanship skill despite her know as the killing machine who has mastered all type of swordsmanship skills .. just imagine how terrifying it could be if a barbaric demon like him suddenly using a specific movement while giving terror to the opponents
I appreciate the fight with Ichigo as looking back, it shows the foreshadowing of how the MCs powers work and their true nature, BUT with other rewatches way back in the first arc it shows how similar Kenpachi and Ichigo are, they have this crazy ass potential to be the strongest of their verse, but they limit themselves from achieving said potential until the last arc for different reasons. Heck looking back at thr first fight between Ichigo and Renji when he got that boost from White which surged his spirit energy he acted like Kenpachi and was having fun with the fight feeling good at the boost he was getting.
Despite its flaws, the Gremmy fight is still my number 1. The thrill of battle is the crux of Kenpachi's entire character, and nothing captures that better than seeing the guy cut through a series of increasingly ridiculous objects while shrugging off about 50 fatal injuries.
His fight with Unohana was where he learned about himself but we didn't learn anything about him. His name is the title Kenpachi and he comes from a distorted place in Soul society called Zaraki.
Unohana's big reveal, the implications of if their battle and the gravitas of the Kenpachi title officially being passed down made that my favorite battle.
The captains and lieutenants party versus zaraki's group performing shunpo without changing poses lives rent free in my head. It's probably an animation error given they basically teleported closer, but it's hilarious to me.
For me it goes: 1. Vs Ichigo (I just absolutely love first appearance of Kenapchi, I thnik fight is perfect. Learning about his eyepatch, bells, crazy reatsu... I was feeling pure joy watching this for the first time) 2. Vs Unohana(Unohana is my 2nd favorite captain so I really felt emotional during this fight. The Kenapchi backstory makes it really incredible) 3. Vs Gremmy(It was first time we saw Kenpachi who changed after Unohana fight and we saw some crazy cutting feats. All of this as well as first time seeing Nozarashi puts it higher then Nnoitra for me) 4. Vs Noittra(just an epic bloodbath between two berserkers) 5. Vs Gerard(first time seeing bankai but its a shame he couldnt control so its sadly 5th for me) 6. Vs Tosen(I appreciate Kubo showing us for the first time in the series how strong Kepachi really is compared to other captains with him taking both captains head on. As well showing us that he can be smart when Tosen uses Bankai) ... the rest I agree with.
I'd definitely love to see Ichigo and Kenpachi have a fight even if it's a ruthless " for fun" battle in a more progressed alone point of the story. I feel like Kenpachi kind of got a short end of a stick vs Ichigo as they had to have it that Ichigo can continue on, meanwhile in later battles Kenpachi also just seems so much stronger when you consider at what a low level Ichigo was at with barely knowing his abilities and power is at that point of the story.
The Gerard fight is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most in the anime. With the changes thus far I have no doubt it's gonna be improved and expanded.
In my opinion, everything the Nnoitra fight did, the Ichigo fight did better, especially the pacing. The Nnoitra fight ends up feeling like it's being stretched out for longer than it should
This list brings back the thought of who could really succeed Zaraki if he were to die? In the current reality of Bleach, only Ichigo maybe fitting for the title of Kenpachi. Looking into just the Gotei 13 however, we are greatly lacking in any proper kenpachi. Simply put, none are on Zaraki's level. But if there had to be one, who would be the best fit? Maybe Ikkaku if we wanted one who embodies the spirit if not the power? Or Kensei if there was anyone with pure physical power. A great list and I couldn't agree with it more!
You know what, your list and my list are exactly the same. When Kenpachi was first release, I always found him interesting and loved every fight he was featured in. Correct me if I'm wrong but you didn't include his fight with his fake self, yes?
Remember everyone making fun of Kenpachi's decisive power-up against Nnoitra being "holding sword with two hands stronger than holding sword with one hand" back when it happened. But at least it's a memorable kind of ridiculous that you can look back on fondly.
It does make sense to see Kenpachi getting jumped by the Bambis. Everyone would know where they were with how much of a spectacle the fight was. Just crazy to see it happen like this usually it would go to another fight but Kenpachi get's no time to breath 😂
On the idea of a Byakuya/Kenpachi rivalry, this might make for an interesting what if for you some day. You've theorized before that Byakuya would be next in line for Captain-Commander. How do you think a Gotei 13 would play out where Byakuya becomes the leader but can't get enough respect from Kenpachi to actually order him around? Kyoraku and Yamamoto both said they would take responsibility for Kenpachi's power level but Byakuya wouldn't have the power to follow through on such a promise.
In the manga every kenpachi fight is great whether big or small. However in the anime my favorite Kenpachi fight has to be Kenpachi vs Nnoritora because of the voice actors performance in terms of dubbing the English voice actor for Kenpachi was over 110% incredible
When I think about the top 3 kenpachi fights that have stuck with me as the best for the character I think about Ichigo, Gremmy, and Unohana. Like maybe I just don't remember the noitora fight well enough (and maybe I'm biased against noitora in general) and I agree that there are memorable moments in it, but if I made a list myself it would probably be at 4 with the other 3 in the same order. I'll give you that Ichigo/Unohana/Noitora are the kenpachi-est kenpachi fights though ✨
For me I agree except for the top 2. I would swap them. I think the somber nature plus Zaraki hearing his Zanpakuto are what put it over Nnoitra for me
I doubt to be the first, but I recently realized, Kenpachi Zaraki is most likely not a Soul Reaper. He's a demon from hell, who somehow found his way into Soul Society. Few points of exidence: -Tousen has said, "only demons do not feel fear" and Kenpachi is literally shown as never feeling an ounce of fear might be Tousen is using metaphor, but I highly doubt that, especially knowing Kubo. -his ungodly amounts of reiatsu must have some explanation, as everything in Bleach has in the end. Demons are most likely the most powerful creatures in Bleach universe, it would make sense to say Kenpachi is "mediocre" demon, or sth similar to create feeling of dread -obviously, his Ban-Kai. Horns, red skin, his appearance clearly shows to me, his true power is seeping in, while broken blade, and its otherwise unchanged form must mean his shinigami appearance and "powers" are like another eyepatch, reducing his true power, so he can enjoy himself in this world. -why did Urahara started investigating Shinigami-demon hybrid after war with the quincy? There was absolutely nothing related to demons or hell in any way, the only possible cause to start research in this field, other than Urahara's countermeasure to unlikely/impossible problems, or some incident we've not yet been told by Kubo, would be precisely Kenpachi's transformation in his Ban-Kai.
Well he told Nnoitora during his fight that if he continued he was afraid he would die and he didn't want to die. It implies to me that he does have some fear.
The Nnoitora fight is brutal: two bloodthirsty animals going at each other throat just for the sake of battle lust... And then, when Zaraki realizes that he may be throwing away his life if it keeps going, decides to get serious and pulls out the most disrespectful kill ever (Behold, the power of TWO HANDS!). I felt really bad for Nnoitora there... The Unohana fight is great too, with a lot of development and introspection for both characters, but comes with the regret of "wasting" such an interesting character as Unohana on a simple power up.
Yeah I personally love the Nnoitra fight and is easily my favourite/most rewatched. I agree with the top 2 but personally enjoy the Tousen battle more than Gremmy's. After watching it in the anime the Gremmy fight just really didn't do much for me.
I'd switch 4 and 1, I feel ichigo's introduction to Kenpachi is more meaningful than the clash of blades that is Noitora there is growth for Ichigo while none in hueco Mundo
9. The jumping of kenpachi 8. Miscellaneous fights 7. yami vs kenpachi 6. Gerad vs three captains 5. Nihotora vs kenpachi 4. Unohana vs kenpachi 3. Tosen vs kenpachi 2. Gremmy vs kenpachi 1. Ichigo vs kenpachi

Kenpachi vs Nnoitra is definitely my favorite Kenpachi fight. Its one of the anime fights i still go back and watch to this day.
He fought with real yhwach 13 blades databook explanied
Nope
@@ZarakiKenpachi1 Are you stupid? So the real Ywach was holding Zaraki by his throat, and then Yama showed up, and in front of Yama's eyes, Ywach left and Royd took his place whilst still holding Zaraki?? And Yama did not realize this?? LOL
I think you need to stop with the wanking
Nnoitra fight is one of my top 5 bleach fights i rewatch it like i watch Ichigo vs Ulquiorra. Glad you picked it as number 1. You sir have great taste.
Need a video on Byakuya fights ranked worst to best now 🗣
I agree, the tousen and komamura fight is super underrated
Mr tommo you should do this for toshiro and Byakuya since they also have alot of fights! Toshiro and Byakuyas best fights in bleach💚💚💚🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸😹😹💯💯😍😍🦍🦍
The Kenpachi vs Nnoitra fight is probably one of my all time favourite fights in Bleach, maybe in all of anime/ Manga. It's just good dumb fun.
Cannot wait to see Zaraki vs Gerard and his Bankai moment... That should be dope
This was a very good vid. And I agree with this ranking. Unohana has always been one of my fav cpts sad to see her go
my favorite is vs Nnoitra, but vs Ichigo comes in second by not much
I personally believe in an alternate universe where Zaraki and Nnoitra fight daily for years to the point Zaraki achieves Bankai and Nnoitra achieves ressuructio seconda and they have the best rivalry relationship ever.
Giriko of course. But seriously, his fight with Unohana is easily my favorite.
Watching this video makes me realize that I'm almost always disappointed with how Kenpachi fights end. Like it's always so sudden and out of no where
pretty solid list 👍
The captains and lieutenants party versus zaraki's group performing shunpo without changing poses lives rent free in my head. It's probably an animation error given they basically teleported closer, but it's hilarious to me.
One shots of significant characters maybe but if we include fodder its probably someone else
For me it goes:
1. Vs Ichigo (I just absolutely love first appearance of Kenapchi, I thnik fight is perfect. Learning about his eyepatch, bells, crazy reatsu... I was feeling pure joy watching this for the first time)
2. Vs Unohana(Unohana is my 2nd favorite captain so I really felt emotional during this fight. The Kenapchi backstory makes it really incredible)
3. Vs Gremmy(It was first time we saw Kenpachi who changed after Unohana fight and we saw some crazy cutting feats. All of this as well as first time seeing Nozarashi puts it higher then Nnoitra for me)
4. Vs Noittra(just an epic bloodbath between two berserkers)
5. Vs Gerard(first time seeing bankai but its a shame he couldnt control so its sadly 5th for me)
6. Vs Tosen(I appreciate Kubo showing us for the first time in the series how strong Kepachi really is compared to other captains with him taking both captains head on. As well showing us that he can be smart when Tosen uses Bankai)
... the rest I agree with.
Kenpachi vs Unohana is my number one fight in Bleach
For me:
1) Kenpachi vs Unohana
2) Ichigo vs Kenpachi
3) Kenpachi vs Nnoitora
4) Kenpachi vs Gremmy
5) Kenpachi vs Gerard
Irl I would be terrified to even look in Kenpachi’s direction
Honestly I'd put the Bambis fight above the Yammy fight.
Ichigo vs Kenpachi is still his best fight.
Great new series
A moment of silence for Tesla and Giriko.
Your videos butter My biscuits thank you
Bro how many biscuits do you have? 😂😂
my top 4 ranking of kenpachi fights:
4. Kenpachi vs Nnoitora
3. Kenpachi vs Gremmy
2. Kenpachi vs Ichigo
1. Kenpachi vs Unohana
For me I agree except for the top 2. I would swap them. I think the somber nature plus Zaraki hearing his Zanpakuto are what put it over Nnoitra for me
What is the size of kenpachi bankai? There’s some panels where it looks 3ft long and then other panels where it’s as big as him
Kenpachi vs tosen and konomura is so good. When tosen hits him with all his blades and kenny jusy didnt give a shit was so badass
Kenpachi Vs Noitora is my fav fight in the series!
I know it was filler but I really enjoyed Kenpachi VS Maki ichinose from back in the day.
Ya I think I can agree with this list.
You should make a kenpachi vs each sternritter video. Kenpachi negates so much hax
His fight with Grimmjow
Iykyk
I doubt to be the first, but I recently realized, Kenpachi Zaraki is most likely not a Soul Reaper. He's a demon from hell, who somehow found his way into Soul Society. Few points of exidence:
-Tousen has said, "only demons do not feel fear" and Kenpachi is literally shown as never feeling an ounce of fear might be Tousen is using metaphor, but I highly doubt that, especially knowing Kubo.
-his ungodly amounts of reiatsu must have some explanation, as everything in Bleach has in the end. Demons are most likely the most powerful creatures in Bleach universe, it would make sense to say Kenpachi is "mediocre" demon, or sth similar to create feeling of dread
-obviously, his Ban-Kai.
Aren't you making just a little bit too much nonsense in your head?
Now that I think about it, I think you never make a video about the sisters of Ichigo.
Wow, after i didnt see number 1 at 4, i thought it got forgotten. I thought it was more likely to be off the list than 1, 2, or 3.
So far, the best for me is the one against unahana, closely followed by the ichigo fight.
Yeah I personally love the Nnoitra fight and is easily my favourite/most rewatched. I agree with the top 2 but personally enjoy the Tousen battle more than Gremmy's. After watching it in the anime the Gremmy fight just really didn't do much for me.
idk why but kenny vs nnoitoria is one of my fav bleach fights hahaaaa
Also like how unohana using different sword technique in oppose to kenpachi in their fight.
And how points out why zaraki using 1 hand to fight
"IT'S UNWORTHY ICHIGO!!" The moment I decided to binge bleach in a week
The fact that someone with the power to imagine anything into existence but can't imagine Zarakis strength... priceless
I'd switch 4 and 1, I feel ichigo's introduction to Kenpachi is more meaningful than the clash of blades that is Noitora there is growth for Ichigo while none in hueco Mundo
My favourite is his fight against Noitorra
Kenpachi vs Gremmy number 1. Second would him against Ichigo
How do I get in touch with you, I would love to have you on my podcast.
I wonder now that Kenpachi knows the name and release of his sword, will it start healing? Renji's did.
Mr tommo you should do this for toshiro and Byakuya since they also have alot of fights! Toshiro and Byakuyas best fights in bleach💚💚💚🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸😹😹💯💯😍😍🦍🦍
The only change that I would make to the list is switching 4 and 3 w/ each other.
Kenpachi vs gremmy was my favorite I would’ve put it in first and put the one in first in third
9. The jumping of kenpachi
8. Miscellaneous fights
7. yami vs kenpachi
6. Gerad vs three captains
5. Nihotora vs kenpachi
4. Unohana vs kenpachi
3. Tosen vs kenpachi
2. Gremmy vs kenpachi
1. Ichigo vs kenpachi
Its very funny i just post on bleach group just after his fight against gremmy that his best fight was against nnoitra is the best kinda feel happy that we share the same opinion 🤣🤣🤣
