Hey SD. Cool that you know Courtney's music and that you recognize the incredible talent she is. As you said, she sings with so much passion and feels the music like few other artists I've ever seen. She truly is amazing, and this is an older song. She was only 14 when she recorded this. Her creativity is simply off the charts. She took the original Country/Hip Hop version of 'Old Town Road', and she just didn't make it her own. She completely dismembered it, and put it back together as this magnificent rock anthem. It seems you've only heard Courtney from AGT, where she sang exclusively classic rock, and rocked the stage with every performance, and this rock gem, so you may not know all of the other aspects of Courtney's incredible talent. She can sing just about anything and do it exquisitely. From Rock, to R&B, Funk, Soul, Ballads and more. Most incredibly, there never is any drop off in the incredible quality of her music. She truly is a generational level talent.
Courtney went through hell to start getting her original music out. First, her label for years trying to turn her into something she didn’t want to be. Another pop princess. Can you imagine that magnificent voice you just heard being limited to just pop, but there’s more. Of course, there was Covid, which delayed her album release for more than two years. Then her label was sold, creating even more chaos. At the beginning of 2023, as soon as she could, she walked away from her label and went independent. Since than, there have been a torrent of brilliant original releases, with much more to come.
Courtney has a huge song library that she hasn't been able to release because of the reasons described above, but she has shared many of them, in whole or in part with fans, and they are all sensational. She is such a powerhouse as a songwriter. Since she has gone independent in 2023, she has already released five mind blowing originals. Her first three originals were non-rock. They were 'Breakable', a gorgeous gritty ballad, 'That Girl Don't Live Here', an amazing uptempo jazzy number with a touch of almost 1940's Swing, 'Call Me Back', which will rip your heart out every time you hear it, 'Monsters', another brilliant rock masterpiece and 'Christmas Rocks', a rocky Christmas song that simply demands you move with it. All are available on her UA-cam channel. Now that she's independent, she has said to expect a release every month or two. So buckle up. Next up is the release of her long delayed debut album. It's going to be an incredible ride. I can't wait to hear you react to more of Courtney's music. If you're going to be reacting to more Courtney, you've got me as a subscriber.

Yes, Courtney's cover is a lot better than the original and she's now independent and has some new songs Monsters, That Girl Don't Live Here, Breakable, Call Me Back and Christmas Rocks all are FIRE! Thanks for the great reaction.

Courtney intends to release her first album of original music in 2024. Hope she can find a good group of young musicians to back her.
This is quite an impressive comparison. Courtney, by far, is the superior version, for me, anyway. You should seriously check out her Quarantine cover of Tina Turner's What's Love Got To Do With It, And her 18th Birthday Karaoke version of Proud Mary.

Actually, the reason why I like the Courtney video better than the other one is that I cannot listen to "machine gun" guitar music, it really gives me headaches. And, it also sounds quite generic to me. I don't think Annihilator will be going onto my playlist anytime soon.
