      I am glad to hear that because this movie is longer than my other recent films and I'm curious about the viewer experience: let me hear more from you guys out there please. On the one hand it can be rewarding to watch the in-depth presentation without interruptions, but viewers are pressed for time and have short attention spans so the length may be too much for some. Perugia lends itself to this treatment because there is a lot to cover while the individual segments are too short to send up as separate movies, so I'm happy with this experiment but eager to hear from viewers.

      +denniscallan Thank you, Dennis, for your work! I enjoy watching your videos because they are well-researched and you seem to pick some really interesting angles. Just wondering, are you adding the narrative after you shoot on location? The sound seems really good. Thanks!

    • @denniscallan
      @denniscallan  8 років тому +1

      +cindyincidentally Glad you're enjoying. The city is not well-known for tourism but is one of the best places. I add the narration while editing back home in Honolulu. While I'm shooting I keep my mouth shut to capture the ambient sound.

    • @denniscallan
      @denniscallan  8 років тому +6

      You are correct, thank you. I guess I am Rome-centric thinking anything north of Rome is in the north, but yes, Perugia is very central...and wonderful.

    Nice video buddy! To be precise, Perugia, the region Umbria, are not located in northern Italy but rather in central Italy. Umbria, indeed, is usual referred as ITALY´S GREEN HEART

    I've stayed numerous times with groups of Italian-Americans whose (great-) grandparents were from the region... many decades ago. And seen folks on more than one occasion look to the heavens and ask, "Why in the hell did you ever leave here?!?".

    What type of camera equipment do you use to take these videos? Do you get any negative reaction since you are filming people you don't know?

    • @denniscallan
      @denniscallan  10 років тому

      I'm using a SONY HD camera on a tripod. Nearly all of my shots are outdoors in public places where I am quite obviously shooting, so people generally tend to ignore me, especially now that everyone has a camera in their phone.

    • @denniscallan

    Is there a reason why, aside from the season, that there is not much greenery in town?

    • @denniscallan
      @denniscallan  8 років тому +1

      In the center of Bath town you are right, not much greenery, but there is a park with green lawn along the river next to town, and several green spaces: Queen Square, Circus and the Crescent.

      I meant Perugia, not Bath (Bath, UK, on the brain, I was just there). ... situation in Perugia: old town on top of hill, not much room for greenery after fitting in all the buildings 500 years ago.

    Great video, but Perugia is pronounced "Pe-roo-jah" - *not* "Pe-roo-gee-a." And Umbria is pronounced "U with a *long* u sound: Uuum-bree-uh.
