Funny encounter with a grizzly bear, part one! No way you don't smile after watching this Joker!

On this day this three year old male grizzly was looking to chill off. I had known of this bear since he was a yearling with his mom, and this was his first time on his own. Everytime I saw him he seemed to be hamming it up, so much so I nicknamed him the JOKER, and on this day it was no exception. After a quick cool off in the ditch, he continued along his way, and I left smiling.

It was a warm day, he was just cooling off. Working with these animals I appreciate the little moments where they express themselves not much different than your dog would. It was a funny moment for me, glad you enjoyed the video.

I suspect The Bear Guy didn't manage the bears properly after all, back in the day. In particular, this one should have been provided with a bathtub of adequate bear-size - this puddle would have been too small even for a marmot! Also, putting the bathtub right next to the road, where there is no privacy whatsoever (witnessed by the whole thing being filmed, probably by a passing-by tourist, and going viral on the Internet) - come on, do you call that bear aversion, really? 🛀
