If given the choice between a f16 or a harrier for dog fighting it would be the harrier everytime. The harrier tested inthe Falklands war won 23-0 dog fights, the british congratulations to the Argentinian pilot's for their skill and, tenacity.
With all due respect, the Harrier is only the best in the context of a Falklands like contest requiring floating airfields. In a mostly land based continental fight, the numbers available, ease to fly, weapon choice/weight carrying makes it a one sided strategic choice for which aircraft is best suited, if one had that choice. For Ukraine, Harriers are not even on the table. The question for Ukraine & partners is, F-16, F-18, Rafael & Saab Gripen, potentially if any. I the ruzzians will get a taste of Ukrainian F-16's in 2024.
In the Gulf War, pilots did not survive when Harrier jets were hit by heat seeking missiles because the afterburners are located in the center of the aircraft. This is the reason why they are being replaced. It is a cool aircraft, though
Unbelievable anyone could make this mistake but the fact that so many people were involved with making this video and nobody caught it is really unbelievable.
This program is a few years old, but now we could be watching an AI generated script, AI generated graphics, with an AI generated voice for narration. All script driven by one or 2 real humans. Who is going to do fact checking, AI fact checker? It's going to get weird folks.
Is anyone involved with this channel responsible for fact checking? I have surface-level knowledge (at best) of the content covered in this video and even I caught a concerning number of flagrant inaccuracies.
As much as I enjoy learning about the production of military equipment like the tank, it is painfully obvious how much they downplay themselves in the Gulf War against Iraq to make it seem like they were the underdogs. When in fact they had a coalition of several countries as well as the newest technology against an army that is only threatening only in its size. It wasn't even a competition in Kuwait who would win.
in modern day warfare, the battle tank doesn't have to be that heavy anymore . . . infact the Abrams M1 can be lighter by as much as 7.4 tons if not more . . .
They should spray the inner side of the glass with hydrophobic coat and vacuum seal the watch so the glass doesnt fog up=cant see the time=watch not working
I never understood why they used green in watched especially for military use. Green is perceived as the brightest so why would you want a glow stick around your wrist when in combat operations at night. If you got a group of soldiers moving through the night and their wrist is glowing well you do the math it’s not very stealthy right??
'Battle tank'? You mean 'Main Battle tank'. Why don't you employ a person who actually knows what they are talking about with reference to military equipment, instead of making it up.
Not scrapped, still used here in the US by many bases, and bought by many of our NATO allies. They are built here in Greenville, SC as the Block 70 variant. Bahrain, Slovakia, Taiwan, Morocco, and Bulgaria are currently under -announced- contract and there are others looking to buy. Japan, Jordan, the UAE and others also use the platform.
You are featuring products that are manufactured in the United States. When referring to the specifications of said items please refrain from using metric measurements, as these are American made products. ‘Mercian’s don’t use no fancy measurements 😂
Just don't forget that the Jaws of life in an Ozzie invention ok - don't go all hoo arh and try and claim this as an Yankee invention ok..... cheers from Down Under 🦘
Spent plutonium and an inner layer of pure diamonds !!
The M1A1 is surprisingly easy to drive 😁🇺🇸
There’s a great history channel show about the battle of 73 easting with US tanks and APC’s VS the republican guard, great tank battles is the show.
I live near Luke AFB and we used to see the F-16 overhead every day now we mostly see F-35’s but I love the F-16.

14:30 the hull (M1A1 Abrams) is armored with composite ceramic and spent plutonium (!) PLUTONIUM, Karl! SPENT PLUTONIUM?! Why not unobtanium? ;)
thats what happens if you let some bad AI create the script for your videos
@@GerManBearPiglol you have no idea what you are talking about

It does not have a turbojet engine. It has an Allison turbine engine.

As well with respect to the watch, it's a phosphor not Phosphorous that glows when hit by radiation, As in old cathode ray tube TV's.

It is a motor not an engine. Do you know the difference between a motor and an engine? There is a difference
Well MR. royal technician .. you could also anlight us about the difference , instead of just having a fit about it ..
$1M to overhaul and upgrade an Abrams tank? It couldn't possibly be that cheap.
They have to make it that cheap to catch up to the Russian production rate of t-80bvm
Has to be a geodesic shape implosion
They should spray the inner side of the glass with hydrophobic coat and vacuum seal the watch so the glass doesnt fog up=cant see the time=watch not working
Absolutely not fool

good cutter machine tool...
not like tattoo on a person arm
Uh... What happened to the F-16?
Sidenote the $100M house sent the builder into bankruptcy, an cost a lot more to build.
Do you know what is going on in Pakistan? Baloch ethnic cleansing. Stand against the crime of ethnic cleansing.

8 friggan months to rebuild ... must be a union shop
If it was that much Plutonium there would be a multimegaton nuclear explosion during assembly and a huge hole in the ground!
nope
f16 top gun for 40 years ? hardly . it was scrapped for stealth .. come on channel
