- Today we take a look at DC Comics Omnibus for The Question. A Omnibus I wasn't expecting to enjoy as much as I did but I'm about to tell you why you should pick this up RIGHT NOW!

This actually sounds really cool, i feel like books with detective/ crime elements are great for the fall / winter. Always have known of the question but this is the first time he's really piqued my interest. I'll be getting this when my next paycheck comes around.
For sure worth it. Was blown away how fun it was and brutal at times
I’m on a pretty strict buy ban and I haven’t been finishing the omnibuses that I already own but this one has me intrigued haha
So worth it. Probably top 10 Omnibus I own TBH.

So i got round to reading this a month ago and i was massively impressed.
I much prefer O'Neils writing here than when he covered Batman n Co.
Fantastic storys throughout with interesting art.
One of my favourite reads of the year.
My favourites so far ( and ive read/have a huge library ) are the sandman mystery theatre compendium vol 1 ( gritty storys based in Ney York 1940's ) the new Postal complete collection compendium ( knew nothing about this but its outstanding Twin peaks dark vibes throughout ) and Brubakers Sleeper omni which was my favourite of his many brilliant works.

Damn loving all the stuff you mentioned. Especially nice to hear someone else digging Postal. I haven't gotten a chance to read my sandman mystery theater but looking forward to it!

The Sandman mystery theatre compendium is easily my best read so far this year though!
Dark and gritty as fuck.
Had the same vibes of Alan Moores From Hell...a real period piece.
Mat Wagner is a brilliant writer. Loved all his Grendel compendiums too but this Sandman is fucked up man. Amazing read.
Damn well thst moved on my my must-read list now, hahah.

It's the original Sandman. Similar to Bruce Wayne as in being very wealthy and having a butler, but during the night he fights crime wearing a gas mask as he uses a gas gun to neutralise enemy's, like Bruce he doesn't want to kill people..he's an intelligent decent dude.
But New York in the 1940's is a cesspool of criminals ranging from serial killers to deviants and the police are typically corrupt and uncaring...
Interestingly Matt Wagner asked Neil Gaiman if he could include HIS Sandman in small parts and he agreed. I won't say where but it really works!
1940's New York has plenty of poverty and racism too and all of it is written brilliantly.
I thought it would be like Gaiman's Sandman going into it, but it's not at all.
A very adult read.

Do not put off reading it, as barely anybody has reviewed it!
I love omnis but I don't look down on trades or compendiums like allot of Omni collectors do!
Currently I'm reading Simon Spurriers recently released deluxe version of Coda which so far is fantastic!
Spurrier is a brilliant writer!
His 2 Hellblazer trades were amazing as was his run ( Wish you were here ) on Crossed.

I actually got sent this by mistake when it came out ( can't remember the Omni I ordered) and I sent the question back.
Looks good though and I love Watchmen and v for Vendetta.
