Over a year ago Momentum Productions showed that the App had the features on it to do Tilt and Pan/Rotate and he hoped that they were working on those features but clearly a year later and no evidence that they are included yet. Many much cheaper sliders have the Pan/Rotate and Focus features already built in and can be operated by the simplest of action. Perhaps the Zeapon people are finding it more of a challenge to add such features to their product and at an affordable price than they bargained for when they included such functions on their App.
@@Stalled-wm3qd could you please list the much cheaper sliders that have the pan/rotate features that you've mention in your comment? I was hoping that zeapon would launch the pan/rotate system however it is taking so long for me to wait.
Nice that they made this little upgrade but like you mentioned I really want the pan/tilt functionality. As long as they don't price those modules sky high this could be the best most cost effective multi axis slider on the market! I also sure hope they won't require all their existing customers have to upgrade to this new slider version to get the pan/tilt functions.
I am eager to see the pricing but I expect a couple hundred dollars similar to the pricing for the slider and the motor... I don’t know for sure but I don’t think an upgrade will be necessary either.
me too i still have neewer slider. Wich is less expensive but less compact . But i still able to do some parallax shot , insane for interviews. But i do need the compact ability of zeapon , as soon as they put somehow an upgrade (firmware or i dont ) where i can do some parallax shot , ill buy it even 100 $ more
@@Stalled-wm3qd yeah sad. i have e neewer slider wich cost 2x time less but it is 80cm. it does parallax, its perfect but definitely not portable. for example I do a lot of esport content and I can't carry it with me in luggage.
@@rokah1391 Not sure about exact specs but last November Gerald Undone has video on iFootage Shark Slider Nano costing about AU$1,000. Might do the trick as is very compact. The manufacturer even adds a comment about a Firmware update.
@@ScottDumas I'm very anxious about this product. At one point I was considering selling my micro 2 because the only real PT options were either Edelkrone or Syrp neither of which would integrate well with my micro 2; however, I knew the app had PT controls thus Zeapon must have a Pt system in the works. My biggest concern is the tiny camera platform, but it looks like the cameras are supposed to get mounted slightly offset with either a longer lens or some form of counter balance. Of course that is where a solid review is going to help. =)
I didn’t get a specific link for that actually, I’ll see if I can get links for the motor itself and the belt itself and add those in the description when I can!
@@DarylCatholicArtist so I guess they still don’t have the pages set up for the motor or belt by themselves yet, still just launching the kit. I’ll add links in here whenever they’re ready though :)
Great video-- Thanks! Have they released the pan and tilt modules? I can't find a website for the company. On Amazon, I'm seeing the same thing branded as, "Letwing." Do you know anything about that? Same company or an acquisition? Appreciate any info and thanks again for a great post!
They have! The pan and tilt motors came out a few months ago. Their website was down for data migration or something like that at the end of last year, but it's up again now. Letwing is just a reseller for them on amazon I believe, the manufacturer is Zeapon.
The E800 is a longer slider and the base design is slightly different, also allowing for support arms which connect to your tripod. Originally, it had the same motor and other features as the first Micro 2, but I'm not sure if they will change to the new motor or change any other aspects of the 600 and 800 actually. Anyway, here's a walkthrough of all 3 of their original models (and the Micro 2 plus is just an updated version of the original Micro 2): ua-cam.com/video/jQD4dxsdGAs/v-deo.html
@@ScottDumas Why don't I feel very convinced with your response? For me, unless it has the right features, like the pan and tilt, I'll treat this as another marketing stunt.
@@cosmashono7665 I’m basing my assumption off the fact that the old motors already got a firmware update to work with the new app... the new app has all those pan/tilt functions built in and it will all be connected individually with Bluetooth. There’s nothing physically different about the new slider or motor that would make it incompatible or functionally different in any way from the original series. Absolutely no reason to think the future modules won’t be compatible with any of the sliders. I will double check, but I can’t see any reason for a problem.
I've tested a lot of sliders and for me this has been the one that I've continued using the longest because it's just the easiest, fastest, smoothest and most reliable to get the shot. I'd personally recommend it very strongly :)
I bought this product and I had a bad experience... after a short time the engine makes a lot of noise and it's not smooth... I made a complain on amazon where I bought... now I'm waiting for the answer...
Where the hell are the graph speed controls? The newly released interface just lacks gradual speed motions from point to point, and all I can get is ONE CONTINUOUS SPEED. That is ridiculous and outrageous, because graph controls was one of the high points I considered on my purchase, just a couple of months ago. Now I feel Zeapon has taken a very useful feature away from my equipment, that was working just perfectly one week ago. I regret having purchased this slider, and I´m feeling betrayed as a customer.
I gave them similar feedback and at it could be possible they bring it back. I think if they hear more users want it, they'll be more likely to bring the feature into the new app. Sorry for your frustration though.
@@ScottDumas I’m quite sure we’re not the only ones complaining about this. Hopefully other users will give them similar feedbacks, and they may reconsider bringing it back in a next upgrade. great video. Can you clarify if zeapon is manufactured by another brand called pergear? I saw your video on their channel and am not sure if they did it with your permission. Link here: ua-cam.com/video/3K_fNovcBjw/v-deo.html. If they didn't, probably should be reported to UA-cam. Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up! I think Pergear is a reseller for Zeapon, not the manufacturer, but I've worked with them before and while I can't remember for sure if we talked about it this time around or not, they usually do ask permission about using the videos :)
This company is an absolute disaster. They ruined their app, it won't connect, despite it working perfectly before. Their 'responses' are repeating "contact our team". How long does it take? I loved this thing, and now it's a pain in the ass to use.

What is the ball head you use in that shot in 6:42 ? It matches the overall look with the slider!
