Wow! I'm surprised at some of the comments below (although I think that I do understand them). The place appeared cold, modern, and without charm. Inside, the artistry of the past is gone - but maybe it just couldn't be saved. Even as it is, it looks nice enough and some nice furnishings and paint might warm it up considerably.
Yes, the interior is insipid, grey and blah, the staircase is cold and frankly dangerous. Not a place for the young or old...
OMg the stone columns-- like the cost of building that now would be ridiculous!

From the start until about 1:20 was beautiful. After that, it went down hill. The money shot was at 0:18 secs. My feeling is that the conservatory is probably the most used space in the entire condo. Seriously, that is the room where ALL deals are made. At night, I bet that the conservatory is so grand, you have charge folks a fee, just to get in.
True. That's why I can't live in Chicago as when I was looking for an apartment/condo, I keep seeing how the living room is the most used space. I don't understand why people don't use the other rooms equally? Sure, some don't cook that much, but the kitchen is a great place to stay. I'm thinking of other states to go in where all the space is used equally as every space matters.

Why do these beautiful old places wind up looking like Drs offices or some kind of institution? Black laqer, chrome, white everything. Modern yes but not an ounce of warmth to make it a home . Artificial intelligences should live in these sterile, bleak surround ings. Not human beings.
The contemporary section, which appears to be the majority of the condo, is bland, boring and charmless. Somebody made a horrible design choice.
I would have made it industrial

Beautiful, I love the tall arched windows but even if I had the money i couldn't buy it because I have a fear of heights which is so annoying. At 3.00 in this video when this presenter is sat on a wall at the top of the building i want to shout "get down now" and at 3.28 I want to shout "get back inside", lol ❤️☺️❤️

People would love to move there and cause all they want is a beautiful clean and a safe environment for their family.

The main space is great! The rest is pathetic and lazy design that merely yields to the views. So typically Chicago, you can find in any condo or faux soft loft in the South Loop. I wish the rest of the space matched the grandeur of the main colonnaded space in a modern way. Perhaps Roman and Williams should have designed it... *sigh*

I don't understand why you show these places in builder's white with echoes reverberating around that would ruin your hearing in no time. You started well with the observatory room, but then it was just a bore. Modern pleases some, but really it is soooo boring and repetitive.
