- After Daytona Bike Week, I stopped in Orlando to pick up a gorgeous, 2023 @harleydavidson Road Glide from @eaglerider in Orlando Harley. Then immediately set off for Tampa to spend four days at the Forgotten Angels charity campout! Motorcycle camping doesn't ALWAYS have to be on the ground!

Man, I wish I could afford to rent from Eagle Rider. For the price of renting the touring bikes, you could basically buy an older softail or sporty and resell it before you leave for the week lol
Yeah, I live in Florida and have been riding here for years. We got lost tourists, seniors on meds, teens on herb, locals out partying, soccer moms distracted by kids, others texting!!😆. I make a game out of riding here, called dodgem cars😎👍😺

I4 is always like that, and there's no real good alternative from ORL to TPA. Traffic to Disney has a lot to do with it, but stupid people make up a large percentage of I4-ites.
The reason no one knows how to drive in Florida is because of all the people from up north that come here!
Jess, To your point about Bike riders being 'invisible' to cagers, yes indeed we are. There have been several articles and you might have read them (and vids as well) .... all explaining the issue. Bikes are right in front of others on the roadways, but they treat us as if we were not even there. According to the aforementioned vids & articles, cagers are 'mentally blind' to bikes & bike riders. Their brain does not compute. Inattentive, distracted may well be included in the subject. The brain somehow dismisses that a bike is present though it is plainly right there with them in traffic. When I came upon this information, my eyes were opened to the very real problem. It is a problem that I believe auto school classes do NOT address enough if at all. What do we do about it? Just assume that all other cagers don't see us and act accordingly. Nice explanation too about the Forgotten Angels program. Motorcycle camping is on my bucket list. A motorcycle rider friend in central Massachusetts has done stealth motorcycle camping, which I think I might consider in 2023 before I turn 77 with my Indian Vintage. thanx.
Riding Interstates seems to be a "Harley" thing. After almost 5 decades and 1.2 million miles, I still don't get the attraction to interstate travel. Motorcycles should be avoiding interstates like the plague. Too many crappy drivers, too boring, too hot, etc etc. When I ride with Harley buddies, they INSIST on taking the interstate for even a simple 50 - 60 mile hop, when there are tons of back roads available. I just don't get it.
You apparently never really have anywhere to be in a timely manner. When I have 1,100 miles to cross and only 48 hours to do it, I take highways. No skin off my back.
Happy Belated Birthday Jess. I just had my own birthday pass a few days ago. The more I see your video's in Florida, the more I want to go back an experience more of the roads there. I had a short stay during Bike Week but left to visit my niece in Oklahoma City halfway through. I plan to be back for Biketoberfest and hope I'll be able stay longer.

Hey Jess, Belated Happy Birthday. I’m heading to the States from Scotland in June. 27 days, 12700 miles, 2 days at prominent cities to be a tourist, 9 days Sturgis…because I want to! Inspired by yourself and other motorcycle vloggers, I’m going to be living the dream. Hoping you are at Sturgis, so I can meet you. Flying my own bike over as it was costing 17,000 pounds to hire.
Few years back I was at a bike convention in England, spoke to the Eagle Rider representative who stated I’d get a huge discount bringing my own bike for Route 66. Since then, we have had Covid…still a £150 discount from the list price isn’t a good discount. I’ve since booked accommodation and researched the Route to save over £1500. Understand Eagle Rider is a profit making company but a little (loads of) research can still save money.

Jess, I am a Flatbed Truck Driver. Orlando / I-4 is on my Avoidance List if I can help it. I use to live in Oviedo, Florida... I'm not a fan of Big Cities and the traffic. I greatly appreciate my one Traffic Light Town. Anyway, I appreciate your channel. God bless 👍🤙✌️

Always avoid the highway around Orlando, change your preferences to block highway until you get at least 20 miles past, and "back" roads are actually a nice ride towards Tampa from there
Interstate 4 is one of the deadliest highways in the country…especially in and near Orlando.
I told you about a month ago you need to stay the hell away from Orlando,and I4 !

I am with you, if the major Hwy is gridlocked or down to about 30 then I get off and take a smaller Hwy and do 60 except for passing through small towns. Also I find the scenery is way better. My youbger brother is a Not getting of the major Hwy even when it is down to stop and start, he just creeps along cursing.
Also I do in a car what you do on a bike, just go for a drive. When I was a kid people did that all the time but now it seems it all about just going from A to B.
I rented one from there back in December of 2021!!

We all ride off the super slabs. There are ways to get anywhere you want to go with a scenic route.
Since the freeway was a disaster, all the back roads were a crap shoot too. Hence why it took me so long lol
Avoid I-4 at all costs. I lived in New Port Richey and I would go up to the Spring Hill/Brooksville area and go over Hwy 50. Takes you straight into Orlando.

Come to se Georgia......beautiful rural roads. I lived in Jacksonville 30+ years hated riding there. Traffic was crazy. Sold my bike. Been in se Georgia for 8 years. Husband and I have 2 Bikes now. Love riding here. Hardly any traffic. And beautiful
Hello Jess and greetings from Athens, Greece! How do you sync up your 2 cameras so that when you clap you go from the helmet mounted one to the handle bar mounted one?? I am a beginner getting ready to start a motovlog of my own here in Greece. It will be interesting!
You have to manually sync them. I use the “clap” method to give myself an audio and visual cue in the editing software. Then I delete the audio from the handlebar cam.

That big ass price difference would buy a cam, full exhaust, a good dyno tune (not from HD on their little tuner thing), and some other shit .. maybe bars .. crash bars on the saddle bags (gotta protect those theh break if u drop the bike .. shit happens)..
107 with a 468 cam and a good tune .. will outperform the 114. And sound better

Ahh the Old I-4 parking lot. Traffic is the only reason I do not move back to the Orlando area. When I retire sure but now no way. I lived in Altamonte and used to drive to work out by the Orlando Airport. 45mins to an hour drive. Didn't matter if I took 436 or I-4 and a toll way or 2. Sundays however it was a wonderful 15 min commute.
Dear Jess, I-4 is possibly the worst highway in the southeastern United States. I would avoid it (and the Orlando metro area) if possible. The only other place in Florida with traffic like that is Miami.

i lived in florida for 5 years and miss it. the part where you complain about no one knowing how to drive is usually the reaction of newbs and tourists. those in the know (IYKYK) understand it's actually insanity not stupidity. try to keep up. go faster. FASTER!!! but you are right about I-4 being bad...it's inexplicably bad...there is NO reason for it to be as bad as it is.

Jess, the problem with drivers in Florida is they are tourist from all over the US and they are sightseeing instead of paying attention. It is said the deadliest city in the US is Tampa. Half the drivers are 30 yrs old and driving 80 MPH and the other half are 80 yrs old and driving 30 MPH. Think about that one.

I-4 is DEATH RACE 2020 + , I refuse to ride/drive on I-4 there are much safer and more scenic roads, a bit slower but 100% safer.
You really need to come to Vancouver Canada, some of the best camping in the world. Plus we like to drink. Lol

I love hearing people from Ohio complain about drivers from other states. When there were only 2 registered automobiles in entire state of Ohio, they managed to crash into each other. My wife and her family are from Ohio, so this is sent with love, but still...
I live close to Cape Canaveral and I definitely try to avoid Orlando in general, but especially I4, that highway is beyond nuts.

I am from Ohio and recently moved to Florida. Something everyone needs to watch out for in Florida is unmarked police and sheriff vehicle’s everywhere and they can and will pull you over.

Florida has the absolute worst driver's in the world. When I lived there I had a 1 ton dodge with a fabricated rear bumper.. had 6 cars total themselves by rear ending me and one that may have been rebuildable
