Best Tool guitar teacher on the web bar none.
Much appreciated!
💯
Best guitar "lesson" channel there is for us heavy rock/prog/metal guitarist writing our own songs. Big thanks for everything. Love the "creative ways to use power chords"-lessons and stuff like that. Wish I could be in the live sessions but guessing, living on the other side of the world would make that hard time wise.
Your vids are great mate.
Thank you! 🤘🙏
Your tutorials are amazing, I've learned to play a lot of tool from your videos and I am looking forward to the future content. Congrats on the new house, and may it bring a lots of happiness in your life.
Awesome, thank you!
Congrats on the new home.
Thank you!
Your “zoom camera” tool videos taught me how to play guitar. I had to go back after and learn standard tuning. Super excited for the new move, hope you and your family get settled in. Looking forward to the upcoming content. Best wishes
Looking forward to your new stuff! I've learned so much on how to play guitar not just from your Tool vids, but your other instructional vids as well. Thanks for everything and good luck on the move!
Thanks for the update, have missed your content and excited for when you will be back and in to the new place, all the best to you.
I recently was at a Tool show in Europe and I realized how much I’ve learned from your lessons. With many songs, when I heard them for the first time, I always thought Adam must feel like a god being able to play all these epic pieces. At the show I realized, I can play most of the stuff thanks to you. At least my favorite parts, licks and riffs. And that makes me happy and I wanna say thank you for that 🙏
Plans spund great! Gotta say though I never once thought of the old videos as being bad, and I revisit them all the time!
Thanks!
Looking so forward to it! You've helped me learn how to play Tool songs in ways just looking at tabs can't do and, via that, become a better guitar player overall. Can't wait, will definitely be checking out the Patreon. It's at least *some* way to give back to the best guitar teacher around! Thanks for all you do, congrats on the new place!
i'm thankful for all your tool lessons, actually, tool songs were with me since i started to play guitar, you and tool inspire me to make a tribute band, you are great!!! good vibes and hope to see you soon here in UA-cam
I’m a relatively new guitar player and your lessons are great. They help out so much and are explained very well. I am doing the “right in two” lesson part one. And am doing well. Just can’t seem to find Tabs. An updated lesson with a link would be great. Thanks for all the great lessons.
Would love to see you do some new Meshuggah lessons too man! Was just watching one of them the other day, and thought it would be great to see you go back and do updates versions a lot of your video lessons. Especially your Tool ones ;)
Congrats on selling your house and soon to move in the new one, that is always a lot of work, great to hear thet you’ll be redoing some of the old videos, that is awesome!!
life goes on...keep up the real stuff Greg
00:50 Goddamn that got me so excited! When you mentioned redoing your older Tool lessons, my instant response was "VICARIOUS!" but yes I think the songs from 10k days would be great..Vicarious, Jambi and The Pot. Maybe you might have come up with better ways or different ways to play certain sections of these songs. Regardless, super excited to see those! And wish you good luck man!
I haven't been able to find a full Third Eye video. That would be a cool one to do or redo.
Mad props to you the market is so crazy right now I’m doing the same with my family waiting till things settle and getting back into a bigger home . Keep the Drop D and TooL content coming 👍🏼🤘🏻 best of luck and wishes
It definitely is insane. Beat the rate hike too thankfully. Bold change but it's been worth it. Good luck to you and your family. 🤘🙏
Congrats!!
Keep going mate. Your tutorials gave me a good start with my guitar journey. Best Regards
Looking forward to more Tool content
The old vids still hold up well, don’t be too hard on yourself😉. Thanks for the update and best wishes.
Dude. I'm pumped. See ya soon
Cant wait for remakes of tool songs. thanks for that!
I’m an older newbie player my wife and I like tool a lot your video taught me the beginning of lateralous and the smile on her face was worth all the money in the world thanks bro
Huge fan! Love what you do! You have helped me tremendously with many of my favorite Tool songs and I am hopeful that you could do a lesson on Stellar Circuits - Nocturnal Visitor (assuming you are familiar). Would greatly appreciate it. Hope you are enjoying the new place.
Hey man, I would love some more Opeth videos!
Me too! More to come.
Thanks man. get that cofffee . thank you for the many many lessons. the best in the buisiness!
Can you address the Jambi riff? I still can’t tell how Adam does it live. Pull offs all on the E string or the drag method across the E and A strings
Pick the first note (3rd fret), pull off to open E then drag across the Open A. Those three notes should be a 16th note triplet. It's the same in Invincible and 7empest.
@@axeofcreation boom thanks. I thought it was that way and Adam hits it so consistently thanks
Greg, congrats on the new home. speaking of old videos, bring back the long hair.
Moving is exciting. Something I wish to do. Good luck 👍
Thank you!
@@axeofcreation Greg, if you had to play gigs using just a multieffects unit ( using the amp Sims, effects and cab sims) that could handle most bands cover tunes relatively close , which unit would you choose?
Looking for recommendations based on your experience. It's not practical or $ feasible for most of the novice players to buy different amps and cabs to recreate the tones of multiple artists and it gets confusing with the number of options out there. People say some units handle the modeling much better than others. Thanks
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE SQUEALING EFFECT ON PNEUMA BY TOOL IS AT THE END OF THE RIFFS
Ur not in SD anymore? Too bad, u were a great teacher and player, good luck with the new state and move brother. Be safe
Was I able learn Vicarious, Schism, The pot watching this channel? Absolutely! Was learning the Fear Inoculum album a better experience in instructions? Definitely!
I'm a bit of halfwit learner on guitar I blamed on a stumped middle finger that never bothered taking any lessons. A few years ago I decided to pull my guitar out of storage and went to relearn some Tool songs. Schism and Vicarious were these milestone songs learnt from those videos. Just felt good learning a complete song from start to finish for the first time. Then when Fear Inoculum was released those videos were much easier to learn.
I think as a teacher you've ascended the quality of those videos and raised the bar a lot higher since they were originally recorded. I think updating the lessons with what you've learnt as an instructor in the last decade would be awesome
Just curious what city you moved to? I’m in Golden, colorado been here 20 yrs (originally from NYC) but thinking of leaving town.
Tampa. Family here and work opportunities.
Can you please do Intension? I don't believe you've done it before.
I got into Periphery cause of you, could you be so kind to teach us how to play the bad thing?
Definitely do Vicarious & Jambi two of my all time favorite tracks by one of my favorite bands (p.s. will you ever get more into the extended range lessons with bands such as Animals As Leaders & Meshuggah & Deftones etc etc that would be amazing 🤘)
I've done them, just a long time ago at this point. It's more of a facelift.
If you could start doing Porcupine Tree, Amenra, King Crimson, ISIS, Russian Circles, that would just be perfect hahahaha (yeah, my favorite bands)
Should we all put money towards a AJ Les Paul Signature standard for him? I feel like he deserves it
