You can also, while you have the dice selected, hit the "r" key and it will cause them to pop up into the air and spin, effectively rolling them for you. This is especialyl useful if you don't want to risk accidentally rolling them too far, having them scatter, knock over tokens, etc. I would absolutely love to see a video of you playing some ASL over Tabletop Simulator. I know it was a while ago, but I would like to re-submit a request for a scenario with some tanks, if you don't mind me asking.
LOL! Great looking opponent.. but seriously, this interface looks amazing.. some automation for some things would be great such as status markers changing at different phases such as smoke.
What do you mean Status markers changing? Like Smoke flipping to dispersed? This format is pretty much a FtF mode. Not much is automated, but Much can be modified. Again, only for the SK 1 and 2. So, its limited...but you can load your own scenario cards and save them. Save Setups etc. It just takes a bit more time than VASL. But the visibility of the board is unsurpassed. I'm always frustrated playing/watching VASL games and having no clue as to the Terrain beneath the counters as they are all piled closely...thus I avoid those "Stalingrad" type scenarios in Vasl.
I was setting up a scenario last night and increased hex size...it looked nice. Then did the same setup on vasl and felt the counters were cramped in the hexes.
THANKS STEW!!! I tried it... "pretty" ... I find VASL more practical and UI easier to master (ability to remove all counters from the board and informational counters also). ALSO where to save game?
To actually save a game, you need to select the first box of the top menu bar. Then your list of games will pop up as well as the save and load game feature. Kinda weird place to put it but it works. Took me 20 min to find it after asking both my sons.
@@StewsReplay you can use the console too. Just type the backtick ` and then "save XXX" where XXX is the name you want to give to the save state. Much faster!
Some players detest TTS for ASL. Which boggles my mind. The same players that prefer FtF over VASL hate TTS more...TTS is closer to FtF than VASL. So, I'm thinking it's something else. Scalable hexes alone make it better. If course this is for SK only unless you create the counters for your favorite ASL game Which isn't that hard honestly
Thanks for the upload.

Shenaldrac My next one will have tanks but only on one side ... It was a very good game for strategic planning
Awesome! It'll be nice to see how they interact with the infantry. Plus tanks are cool :D
There is a dice tower add on in TTS.

Jack Dempsey lol
Yeah going back to actual physical removal of counters is s pain that we Vaslites have almost forgotten
Thanks Jack
There is a save game selection...when you load up TTS again. you'll see saved games at the bottom.
As is shown here at 1:28

Anyone tried this out. As good as it looks?
Not yet
I'm looking to try it
Do you know of any groups (either in or outside of Steam) to find people to play wargames on Tabletop Simulator?
I don't know if any.
I'm sure there are some.
You can go to the game's page and post comments about looking for players
