SARATEC- DECOMMISSIONING OF A WIND TURBINE

On 18 July 2016, the Jeumont wind turbine at the Klipheuwel site, was dismantled and transported to the South African Renewable Energy Technology Centre (SARATEC) in Cape Town. This first of it's kind and a landmark moment.

I know very well this Wind turbine as I was working for Jeumont for 14 years. I've been many times in RSA to work on it and to solve problem with my friend Eric Roux who was working for ESKOM. It reminds me lot of good things, I hope I will travel as soon as possible to RSA. Parts of the J48 was destructed or keeped for training or other things? Thanks for answer. Fabien Six
