For all "mixed bag" of good and bad this show brought Boorman is 1 thing that is completely done right. I would never guessed that before, but now i honestly believe he deserve his own show.
TBH, I wasn’t sure I liked him at first because I couldn’t entirely tell whether they were going for “cool mysterious witty badass” or “comic relief you’re supposed to laugh at”. But upon realizing he’s definitely both - a silly, kooky guy who happens to *also* be a mysterious and dashing badass, knows and is proud of the latter part, and expects his cool factor to cover for how silly and in his own world he is - I have decided that I goddamn love him.
Love the show! It is hilarious and a light, easy show to watch. It showed me I needed this to balance out darker fantasy shows. Love all the characters on the quest and the cast is adorable! More seasons please!
They BETTER give us more seasons. This show was delightful. Fun and engaging, with a good story, without taking itself too seriously. We definitely need more.

i really hope disney pushes out those other 2 volumes teased at the end of episode 8. they seem to have a better track record in being committed to sequels and following through the given teasers, but these days you never know (especially with two of the main characters being in a wlw relationship)

Disney's treatment of this series has been exasperating! First, they announced that there would be no season two before they'd really given the series a chance to gain an audience. Then, inexplicably, they included it in the fifty or so titles that would simply be removed from the streaming site when Willow the series was barely six months old, and with no plan to market it even as a DVD series for purchase. In other words, they simply decided to disappear the new series as if it never existed. Meanwhile, they are still offering the original movie on their Disney+ site for streaming. The decisions regarding the series actually seem somehow punitive, as if they were resentful of Kasdan's, and fan's, insistence that the series continue. Is Willow the series a great work of art? No, of course not. But it is charming and quirky and compelling in all the ways that make for an enduring fan favorite, given time to grow in viewership. A scan through the inane offerings that continue on Disney+ makes the decision to completely remove viewer access to Willow all the more nonsensical.
I think it being a new series and all the writers and actors are getting money from it when it’s on a streaming platform, so with the strikes going on it’s cheaper to remove it and removing a large amount of shows might make people upset at the strikes (even though people should be upset at the streaming service). I hope after the negotiations are done some of the shows will return to streaming platforms and possibly also be renewed.

I would like a Season 2. The first four episodes really tested me but as the series continued I really came to enjoy all the characters. Kit began as the character I didn’t like that made it nearly unwatchable but as I continued watching I understood her character more and realized it was just poor writing for the first few episodes. I hope for a second season, just so long as they have learned from this first one and ease up on the unnecessary negative bile.

The point is that the commenter seemed to hunger for praise of a show mere days before even Disney+ didn't want to touch it anymore. That's as embarrassing as not only being the last soldier to die in the losing side of a war, but volunteered for the mission to go over the top. On purpose.

Technically, the best of Willow Season 1 is all of Willow Season 1, but love this all the same.
