Great Haul!! When you read Truly Devious have book 2 and 3 at your fingertips you will want them immediately!! I am currently reading Shiner thanks to LindseyI read Echo Mountain a few months ago..I enjoyed it. I also read Midnight library my first Matt Haigg...it really hit some nerves and was a emotional and healing read!
Wow these all sound great! I read meet me at the museum last year. It was nice to find a novel featuring older character as the protagonists. I really want to read the midnight library too (probably on audible as Carey Mulligan reads it). I also have how to stop time and haven't read it yet! I really look forward to seeing your wrap ups of these, they sound wonderful.
I hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas, Katie 🥰 All of these books sound so interesting! I started reading Keeper of Lost Things a few months ago on ebook. I was enjoying the story but I just couldn't get totally into it. I think it was mostly the format- reading books on my phone is never as enjoyable as the real thing! This was a good reminder to give it another go! Anyway, Happy New Year 🥳
How did I miss all these videos of yours? 😭 I just told YT to notify me whenever you post so hopefully that helps 🤦🏼♀️ Truly Devious has always caught my eye, too! I want to hear your thoughts on that one. So glad you’re back!!
I read Being Mortal when I started book tube many years ago and I still think about it and truly know it has shaped how I think about death. I’m so excited you get to read it!
So many wonderful books! I’ve heard people talk about Truly Madly Devious and thought it wasn’t for me, so I’d be interested to know your thoughts when you get to it. I also have The Midnight Library if you fancy a buddy read at any point.
I adore Hazel Gaynors books. Im so happy you read the last christmas in paris. beautiful. Thank you for all of your recommendations! Could you share Grandma Nellie's cookie recipe? They look delicious! Happy new year
I hope you love The Keeper of Lost Things as much as I did. Definitely a feel good read, which at this point is what I need. Just downloaded The Brilliant Life of Eudora Honeysett. Hopefully its a good audiobook. Happy New Year. Be safe out there.
Another epistolary novel I have read is Last Days of Summer by Steve Kluger. It's been a while since I read it, but I adored it. I loved the whole Truly Devious series. :)
Wouldn't classify the Netherlands as a Nordic country (from a besserwisser Swede) 😉 Lovely haul! 📚 I have Midnight library on my shelf, gonna pick it up soon! ❤️☺️
I knew right after saying it that it was wrong, but I couldn’t think of the right word (I was looking for Scandinavian-would that be right?) and so I just kept going. Eeeeek. Sorry!
Haha, no worries! Easy to get it wrong. But no, the Netherlands is not part of Scandinavia either.. 😂 Sweden, Denmark & Norway are the Scandinavian countries (because we share a lot of similarities in our languages, and basically understand each other even though we speak differerent languages) the Nordic countries is Scandinavia + Iceland and Finland (because it's hella north!)✌️The Netherlands is just in Northern Europe I would guess... Confusing, I know 😻
Definitely read 84 Charing Cross Road first it is a fabulous book. I read it years ago. There were several reasons why I loved it. First, it was written as a series of letters which I love. Second, it took place in my hometown of New York City and in London, England. Third, the female character longs to go to England and so did I since the age of 13. I went for the first time in 2004. Then proceeded to go twice a year every year until 2013. Finally, the main characters were a writer (which I am) and bookstore owner which I would love to become. There's a movie too! See link for trailer: ua-cam.com/video/sg1o46QRLP0/v-deo.html.
Ooohhh those cookies look scrumptious! Agree, epistolary novels can be super cozy!
Catching up on some booktube today! Loved this haul. So many great picks! I think Truly Devious sounds the most intriguing. 😍
I’m so eager to read it! I’ve been told I need to have the second book on hand because I’ll want to start it right away!
The midnight library sounds so good!
Making Christmas magical for the kids is a job in itself for sure!
It should be a paid position 😂
What a great haul Katie.
The only one I’ve read is 84 Charing Cross Road but I want to read several of the others.
Hope you enjoy them all!
I can vouch for Echo Mountain. It was fantastic. I like everything by Lauren Wolk. I have read all 3 of hers.
I just have this inkling she’ll become a favorite of mine as well!
I love epistolary books, too!! Thanks for more suggestions! So glad to have you back with us :)
Do you have any favorites???

Welcome!!! I’m so excited to read Being Mortal! I’m going to try and do it in January!

@@annaekholm6288 I’m so glad to know this! Thank you! I would have gotten it forever wrong without this explanation. 😂🙈
Happy to help! Don't know why we have so many different "groups" within Europe, but it's mainly cultural and holds some historic value ☺️
Have you read the Sabine and Griffin series? They were my favorites in the 90s❣️❣️Interactive too❣️❣️Check them out♥️
I’ve not even heard of them!
I would like you to read the midnight library first purely because I’m reading it too and it would be nice to hear your thoughts on it!

Those cookies look like giant Jammie Dodgers.
Yes!! I was talking to my family (aunties and mom) and they said the same thing. That’s exactly what they are! What a fun name.
