  • I have used a LOT of different batteries at this point, but this one is different. The price point, features and size really have a lot to offer. This NEW LiTime Group 24 100Ah Lithium Battery may just be your best option on the market today. #ad

    I got 2 of these based on your previous video. Fast shipping and good packaging. Charged them up with my little 5a per bank noco...took about 12 hours. Had to wake them up first. Bluetooth connected right up. Looking good so far, quite impressive. Probably run the tm when the rain clears for a morning. Thanks for the videos.

      Nice, did you use the wake up feature on the Noco charger?

    Great video, great battery, and a couple of additional points I didn't hear you cover: Lithium iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries maintain a consistent voltage throughout the discharge curve, which means you aren't gradually increasing the power (amperage) to your trolling motor, throughout the day. This even voltage characteristic makes LFP an excellent choice for your increasingly sensitive and power-hungry electronics. I started using them for my electronics when I noticed my graphs would reset any time I cranked over the big motor and the livewell pump was already running. That combination would drop the voltage on my lead-acid cranking battery enough to do a hard reset on the graphs...not a good thing! :)

      @@stedyone1090 - I may not have been clear enough in my comments. I am running electronics with LFP batteries, but still using lead-acid for cranking over the big motor and for running pumps. Everything else is LFP.

    ok i have been in search of some new lithium batteries for my TM, it is super scary the selections out there, bluetooth or no bluetooth, i have a amped outdoors battery powering my electronics and i am beyond confused on what battery to choose for my 36 volt TM, if you compare the li time batteries with BT, they right up there with the other batteries, i guess am i sacrificing quality by going with the LI time, i am really considering the amped outddors just because i already have one and have had one for several years. just do not want to over pay thank you for your time

      I would not consider going with LiTime as "sacrificing quality", there are plenty of recent tear-down videos that support that position.
      I would say you are sacrificing the ability to call and meet with a US representative from the company to help with any issues. That said, I've not heard of any issues with these and they are still 1/2 or better the cost of US-based options.
      Hope that helps

    I bought 2 of the power Queen 31 group 100ah low temp trolling motor batteries on your recommendation a great deal on Amazon for 379 a steel and a few days later the 2 pack went up to 459.
    Why did you switch to LiTime now after you loved the power Queen?

    Would that be a good battery for a 40lb trolling motor and what would be a good charger for that battery

      This would work great for that. For a charger I would try to stick around 10amps for that size battery. Are you looking to bring a charger to the boat or mount a charger on the boat?

      Actually their "mini" battery does not have Bluetooth. You would need the "group 24 with Bluetooth". The charger and breaker is going to be separate, I think I have their charger linked in the video 👍

    Smaller is better??
    Less padding inside to protect from boat bouncing on waves??
    Jury still out..

    • @goodmanfishing
      @goodmanfishing  3 місяці тому

      Interesting thought.
      I've not seen any lithium battery tear downs with padding under the cells. Independent of size. Rectangular prismatic cells aren't necessarily sensitive to vibration either. I would consider being packed tightly limits movement, which I would prefer over padding/moving parts.
      AGM and Lead Acid sure don't have any padding either.

    The specs on this battery shows that it will run a trolling motor (30-70lb). If you run 3 of these in series (36V) would it be able to handle a Minn Kota Ultrex 115lb?

    • @goodmanfishing
      @goodmanfishing  3 місяці тому +1

      That 30-70lb rating is for a single battery. 3 will run a 36v Ultrex with no problem! You'll be well within the continuous discharge rating 👍
      If you end up going that route, using the link in the video it helps me out!

      NOCO is a pretty popular brand these days. I would stick to a minimum of 10a/bank for 100Ah batteries
