I have just started using Scribus and it was good to see there are Boolean operations for cutting shapes into others. Very useful tutorial especially the settings for top, sides, and bottom of the pages. Subscribed.

As always, we are glad you found this video helpful or at least entertaining. Much of our designs have been focused on magazine publications. We are working on branching into how to create book interiors in Scribus or how to create flyers in Scribus. Any thoughts on which type of publication designs you would prefer to see first?
Thanks for this, I started working on my 1st video games zine (10 pages or so about games) that i want to publish online. Can you tell me what version of Scribus are you using? Mine looks very different :( so it's sometimes more difficult to follow thanks!
The version of Scribus in this video is 1.5.8 and is being run on Linux. Although each computer OS will theme the Scribus user interface a little differently, the UI in the 1.4.x version of Scribus may appear quite a bit different.
We are not sure what you mean by 'turn on the background shape'. Most of the colored shapes seen in this video are simple shapes that moved to other layers.
