@@daveg4236 yes and no, you are referring to Mike Slamer, another amazing player and yes, an influence. 1st album was Mike, Erik, and Joey trading off solos throughout the album. Mike played most of the big ones but Joey was on a lot as well. Cherry pie (minus CC doing the cherry pie solo) was Joey and Mike doing the solos, mostly Joey, dog eat dog was all Joey and Erik. Rockaholic onward is all Joey and Erik. Mike actually took Joey and Erik under his wing after the first record. I’ve seen Joey live many times and his playing is killer. All 3 are different players and have their unique qualities to them. So yes, I am well aware who I’m listening to and who I’m influenced by
@@tedisakoolkat nope. ALL solos done by Mike. Joey and Erik couldn't play what was needed. Very well documented. Mike showed those guys how to play them
@@daveg4236 not accurate, I’ve heard this from Erik himself. Mike played a lot of them but Erik and Joey also contributed on the first record. Second was Joey and mike, after that it was all mostly Joey and Erik.
@@daveg4236 Mike did teach them the solos that he himself had played, as well as how to really write and create solos. But there are still solos that Erik and Joey tracked for the record that were kept. Others Mike re-tracked.
I just realized the other day that Nick was the guy in Grim Reaper. I didn't know he was THAT Nick Bowcott! Warrant and Grim Reaper were both a part of my formative years in musical style. After seeing them together, there's only one logical thing to do. That is get them together in one project! 🤘
Hey Joey blu guitar is coming out with the amp x I believe this year. This guy made h&k what it is. Be on the lookout! It’s pretty much the spirit floor but I think it will be better!!!
Triamp MKI is my number one gal but This thing is nasty. I want the head version. Can never get enough H&K. Wouldn't hate to see them go back to greenbacks in their cabs.
Warrant's Dog Eat Dog album is one of the best hard rock metal albums not many know about because they just want to know Warrant for the radio and MTV hits. Shame.
It really is a good album. I absolutely hated warrant during the hair days, but I knew the band had potential with Uncle Toms Cabin (brilliant piece of songwriting). Jani could have done a million other things after warrant was removed from the public eye..I remember telling my friends in high school at the time I could see this guy writing scores for movies. It’s just sad it never worked out that way.
Nobody is lugging stacks anymore, everyone's going to small, versatile, and powerful setups. Musicians just bring their guitar and a small amp processor in a bag and you are ready to rock. Technology has changed everything.
Very solid state sounding... Boxy, flat. Not terrible, but not great imo. I would love to have something like this with pre amp tubes in it. Like an Adamp1 pedal built just like this unit with all the bells and whistles.

So awesome knowin Joeys still doin it man! You as well Nick. Y’all are both part of my childhood. Music lives forever
Always loved Joey’s playing. Glad these guys are still out there doing what they do.
Probably one of the most underrated, unrecognized guitar players out there. Warrant had some massive guitar riffs and solos.
To be fair. He didn’t play in the first album. They needed to have someone come in and play
Great piece of gear, awesome interview🤘🤘🤘
Dig it!!👍👍 Thanks Joey and SW!
Just saw Joey live with Warrant 2 nights ago kick ass show band and guitar tone was awesome!
such a great dude....awesome band live....love Warrant
One of my biggest guitar influences, great guy!
You do realize first album it wasn't him ..that's a studio musician playing. So your influence is someone else

Excellent!!!
This looks pretty slick. I'll have to try one out next time I'm up there.
Nick and Joey are both amazing but let’s not forget Robert Mason sounds as good now as he did 30 years ago 🥂
Joey is the man.
Legend!
Joey is a treasure. 👍

Man, these guys look like brothers, with the bald heads.
Why do these guys look soo much older than me? I'm actually older.
Correction: it saves 127.5 sounds.
Joey's tone only sounds half bad.
Does Nick live in Indiana?! Or does he work remotely? Ha!

Way toooo much delay washes out his playing U can hear his solos All too jumbled
Warrant? As in Cherry Pie?
Actually, as in Dog Eat Dog 🤘💵🍒
The first riff he played was Uncle Toms cabin.
As in I saw Red actually 🥂
