- Quick demo of two ideas from ModWiggler forum member Merlin for using Probability: one to “morph” between two subsequences, the other for inserting legato notes into a subsequence.
8 step sequencer...let that sink in.
Great video guide. The Moskwa looks like a very musical, performance-friendly sequencer design.
There are a few things about it that will be problematic for some folks, and I have a few disappointments with it, but it’s generally a pretty nice sequencer sitting in a middle ground between utility sequencers and “battleships”.
@@MartinDoudoroffLLC I had a good laugh at 'battleships'. Re-visiting this subject, the 248t I have occasionaly wanders dramatically out of tune, the pots are far too free-moving, and the triggering behaviour is odd, but maybe they were characteristics of the original Buchla version. As far as simple, genuine analogue sequencers I'm out of ideas. On the digital front I've been impressed with the Erica Black Sequencer, it's complex, but very intuitive.
@@DreamsOfWiresHmm. Sorry to hear the 248t pots are a disappointment. *Noted.* 0-Ctrl is very analog and totally solid, but has idiosyncratic strengths and weaknesses. Worth investigating. What about that Doepfer DarkTime you had going?
@@MartinDoudoroffLLC The Dark Time is really lovely. The pots are excellent, it has that vintage analogue sequencer feel, yet has lots of great functions. The only thing I'd change is the type of switches, they're solid and durable, but not easy to change on the fly like the rather uninteresting but very functional rubber push-buttons on the little SQ-1.
Handy! Thanks!
Lovely work on this demo Martin !
Really handy, thanks 😊
Super cool. I will have to try this out. 🤩
Super nice
Very cool. Thanks !
Is it true that it can do 256 steps???
