  • I have been an outdoor enthusiasts since i was an adolescent. I have explored many plants and trees the white pine is my favorite because it offers so much. You need to learn this plants uses because it could save your life. This tree is common in many parts of the world. In my opinion it’s the most useful plant in the woods.
A pine tree can be an incredibly valuable resource in a survival situation. Here are ten survival uses for a pine tree:
    1. Shelter: Pine branches can be used to create a makeshift shelter. The dense needles provide insulation and protection from wind and rain.
    2. Firewood: Pine wood is excellent for starting fires. The resin-rich wood, known as fatwood or lighter pine, burns hot and fast, making it ideal for kindling.
    3. Food: Pine nuts found in the cones are edible and nutritious. Pine needles can be used to make a vitamin C-rich tea.
    4. Waterproofing: Pine resin can be used to waterproof seams in shoes or makeshift containers.
    5. Wound Care: Pine resin has antiseptic properties and can be used to seal small cuts and wounds, preventing infection and promoting healing.
    6. Cordage: Strips of the inner bark can be twisted together to make cordage for tying things or even creating fishing lines.
    7. Signal: Fresh green pine needles produce a lot of smoke when burned, making them useful for creating smoke signals.
    8. Tools and Weapons: Pine wood can be carved into various tools and weapons, such as spears, fishing hooks, and traps.
    9. Pitch Glue: Pine resin can be mixed with charcoal and other substances to create a strong adhesive for repairing tools or creating makeshift items.
    10. Kindling and Tinder: Dry pine needles, small twigs, and inner bark make excellent tinder for starting a fire quickly.
0:00: 🌲 Versatile uses of a common tree species highlighted in an entertaining discussion.
3:39: 🌲 Innovative ways to utilize a tree for survival, including creating a bark bowl for boiling water and finding food sources.
9:06: 🔥 Versatile survival tool with fire-starting potential

Very good video. Love the cameos by Bush Cat. My dads favorite dad joke: 2 Cannibals were eating a clown. One turns to the other and asks 'Does this taste funny to you?'

Great video, brother. Down here in the southeast, we have a few of the old pines left with the v cut in them. The old timers called them cat faces. Some still have parts of the metal buckets hanging from them. That would catch the sapp.

Unfortunately, I don't believe we have white pines here in the Rockies! I believe that cattails are even more useful so maybe you could do a video on that if you haven't already!

I found out I'm probably not allergic to pine sap necessarily but basalt bc the tree has the short stubby wider "leaves" (needles actually). I looked up conifers for references and looked at different species in Michigan and I identified the ones that give me a sunburn-like rash upon skin contact as Basalt trees.

When you're sick your body can get low on zinc, that often times will result in a loss or reduced sense of taste/smell. Might try out a zinc supplement.

In my humble respectful opinion to everybody over here. I feel people Should be strengthening their relationship with God first. Then learning survival skills. For a apocalyptic scenario like nuclear wars. A world without a sun.
No trees. No grass no Leaves. You have to be prepared for multiple scenarios. That we will be definitely facing in the future.
