2/2 There is even a preset for chicken nuggets listed in a table right inside the door, which beeps to alert you when to turn them and continue. Either way, it is done when internal temp reaches 165°. The point being that this is simply a smaller convection oven marketed as an air fryer, with the latter a bit less, simply because of size. They are essentially the same thing and meant to expedite standard oven timing and reducing time by 25% or so, circulating hot air around the food. Which is why there are holes in the tray. The turntable will catch drips and can be washed, or you can use a cake pan or pie plate under it (or foil for even easier cleanup). If using a glass pie plate, avoid placing it in cold water afterwards until it cools or it may shatter. Hope this helps someone!

I never purchased a toaster or an air fryer. Use the broiler to toast and didn't want yet another kitchen gadget. And most air fryers are too small for my needs. But this Toshiba seems most practical because of its many uses in one.

I agree with you that this would be perfect for a select target market such as a college student living on or off campus or a person in a small apt. in NYC. I have a house with a microwave, ovens, etc. I do not need this nor do I have the counter space for this. But good to know this is an option and thank you for the video and demonstration(s).

I came here to see if the glass tray was supposed to be removed while air-frying or baking. I bought this for a small kitchen I set up for my elderly mother. She loves this appliance.

1/2 It seems that NO ONE is using the tray and rack properly. Actually ☝️🤓, you need to force the tray in between the vertical rods so that it sits directly on the rack. One side of the rack is higher. Flipped, the other side is lower. Use a little force to bend them out a bit if necessary. The tray is not meant to rest directly on the orange feet, and snipping off the legs unnecessary. Continued...
U set the timer for 4 minutes instead of 5 minutes.

Chef thnx for your demo. I have my Toshiba microwave. I don’t care for toaster ovens. I’m blessed with a very large kitchen with much space ( counters on both long sides)of room. Then my Cuisinart coffee maker, 6qt Instant pot, then my air fryer. I said this to thank God for these blessings. I’m not going to keep talking about all on the stovetop side. My reason for saying this is I absolutely applaud you for all your cooking in a seemingly small area. Therefore, a piece of equipment such as this would serve you well. Thank you for sharing this type information.

@@OLDSCHOOLSOULFOOD thanks chef, got me one with rack and cover, under 50 bucks too, making some chinese green beans and mashed with it, ( deep fri the beans for like a min put in a fry pan with garlic and soy sauce , stir fry for like 3 min and done) they are very good not mushy and have a little bite to them, give them a try. My youngest son is not married so he is real good to Mom. He moved Mom in with him and takes real good care of his Mom.
