This is extremely good advice. Fighting and losing to good players may be frustrating, but you'll be able to improve much faster.

or you can go overworld ganking (preferably people who have different colored names)

A small tip that helped me find my main, now most people say you shouldnt main a certain weapon since changes will happen so i reccomend find a attunement oath and weapon type and find alternatives for them and constantly update the build with rerolls and if it gets gutted remake the build unless its unobtainable... learn the weapon you enjoy playing and your OWN playstyle do you like combos? gimmicks? figure it out

only problem with battle royale is that there can be some stuff you cant normally do in normal builds. like you always have level 4 mantras, which may not always be the case.
I concur, in some rhythm games, when someone goes for a PR, theyll first do a map 2-3 levels above there skill level figuratively, just so they get used to the map moving and being at that level, so when they go to do their PR, it's nothing compared to what they just tried and feels kinda slow. Idk just kinda got the same sentiment from the video

one problem with battle royale is that you cant select your region, so when youre playing in like asia or eu youre always gonna end up in a NA server 90% of the time
as someone who made the big mistake of going in chimes unranked as a power 10, i can confirm dont do it, the crystal blindseer spam WILL one shot you

Step 1: Live in the exact regions available to not have ping spikes every 10 seconds in a fight

Br would be a good idea for training my skill, if i didn't always get placed in us server where i have 200 plus ping (i don't live in the US)
Bought the game yesterday and the first PVP experience I had was some high level camping on one of the starting islands, downing me and letting their low lvl friend grip 💀
I cant improve in chimes because i always get sent to texas servers with 150 ping, i cant improve in battle royale because i dont have any friends to team up with, and i cant even fight people in the overworld because every person i fight is a max level with 3 friends ganking me cus im a freshie. Since i have no physical way of improving, i can't even consistently kill enforcer. Am i just cooked or is there another option?
Dont expect yourself to win right off the bat, it takes time. Gank and participate in unfair fights. The best thing about deepwoken is starting over, and learning from your bad habits, even in unfair fights you can look back and see what youve done wrong. Hell if you're that adamant on getting better, record your fights and review them. Realize and defeat habits that bring you down and then grow as a player. Most importantly tho, surround yourself with a group or community thats willing to let you gank with them so you can learn what a real team fight feels like. If you lose oh well just keep it pushin, you can always be better.
I’m ngl I don’t enjoy getting jumped by two ppl when I’m severely under leveled. The game def has a high line of toxicity. Yes, starting a build isn’t all that bad but we all kno deepwokens progg is so trash

do this but for an even lesser level because I keep dying to bandits at lower erisia and when I fight sometimes when I press F to parry it doesn't even register so Im out here just swinging parrying working 1/3-4 times
I would love to play br but after countless attempts I have never found a server that has less than 400 ping, if your in America it’s an ama feature but anywhere else you just can’t play
What sucks about br is that there are only usa servers i have not found a single asia server to have fun in.
if you would be fine with me adding some of my own experiences
- play builds that are fun to you, different builds can let you try different playstyles and what you enjoy is different from others, or potentially the same
- do PVE! pve skills can transfer on over to pvp because you can understand how some things work better.
- when you want to get better you need to have the mindset of wanting to improve. your mentality can fuck up whether or not you hasve fun in the game and people find this game fun for different reasons. i love PVE, and i play open world to improve
- use youtube for your own personal gain, look for builds you think you would enjoy instead of following a meta. if the meta works, then go ahead
- play with friends cause youll have a safe way of practicing your build and refining how you play, listen to people who are better than you for tips and watch other people fight and take in info, ect

How to make a good pvp build?
I played chime for the first time ever on a power 18 character, had 800 elo (I suppose that should be the starting amount) and got repeatedly destroyed by minmaxed pvp sweats, so ig chime is a good way to find better players 💀
It’s not, eventually you’ll be put in a low elo and only go against other average players, you’ll never go against someone much better than u

Also, in regards to br, im not so sure about it. I guess its just personal for me though, since i absolutely hate br type games. Ive spent hours grinding out Fortnite and i always sucked. No matter how many times i practiced aiming and building, id lose to the first person id see in any real match. It was so bad that i hate getting on whatsoever nowadays. Not to even mention the nightmare that trying to get into gpo's br was when i thought that bowl of dog water was halfway decent. It just feels like too unreliable of a way to consistently improve at anything to me, especially when everyone around you is just too skilled for you to do anything of consequence to begin with. Its like teaching someone to drive by forcing them into a tank while an air strike is napalming the land around you and Bugs Bunny comes up to the turret and aims it back into the pilot's seat.

I disagree with chimes state of fighting the same Elo, I commonly fight people that are in top 250 while I’m in 1.4k Elo
1.4k elo currently is above decent would make sense especially if the queue only has a couple of people
literally just get max level and start doing chime several hours a day

In chime u would get better and progressively being able to get your elo up and fight better players who you can actually fight. Ur saying to not do chime bc ur gonna be fighting 600 elo but ur only fighting 600 elo bc u dont have the skill to get to 900 elo and fight better people yet, so stick to 600 elo fights and get better slowly dont go to players with 1000 elo if u cant beat 600 elo players u feel me?
Chime is helpful yes, but it's a very slow process (mainly cuz of skulls and just losing a lot of Elo when u do) however, br is objectively better for new players mainly since it's always equal ground (no cheese builds) and the fact that it doesn't take skulls when you lose (yet), so yes, it's better for new players, especially since they can try out a bunch of new mantras and weapons, and learn how to properly use/counter them, then finally make a build based off of what they like the most.
But yeah I agree with what you said, chime is def the best way to get better FOR SEASONED PLAYERS.
He literally said "chime isn't the best for NEW players" because of the skull system. Plus BR is just better for practice cause like he said your fighting EVERYONE, those better those worse and those that are equal to you.
