amazing video! One thing I'd like to add for this alternative history scenario is that a large part of the reason the soviets actually were pushed back that far is yes, in part due to the severe loss with Finland, but also that if Greater Finland was realized like it is here, the Murmansk Port and railway line being cut off would sever 20-25% of the lend lease sent to the Soviets. 4.5 MILLION metric tons of supplies were sent through the arctic in OTL, and the lack of it in this TL would absolutely cripple the fighting capability of the Soviets especially after a loss like that in the Winter War. Great job I'm loving these style of videos man!!

Vyacheslav Molotov The story behind the name of Molotov's cocktail is that then current minister of soviet union, Vyacheslav Molotov, claimed that bombings happening in Finnish cities around start of Winter War were "Humanitarian food aid for poor finns to stay on bread". Those bombs were dubbed as "Molotov's bread baskets" and so they needed something to go with them, hence Molotov's cocktail was named how it is.

Bit disappointed you didn't mention the Hungarian attempt at intervention: When Germany declared war on Poland, Germany demanded use of Hungarian territory and railways in order to assist them. Hungary refused this order, as they had joined the Axis with the understanding that it was an Anti-Soviet pact and had no wish to go to war with the Allies. Hungary was further angered when the Molotov-Ribbenrop pact was signed. So, when the Winter War broke out, rather eager to send volunteers to assist in the Fins, the Hungarians attempted to send aid. Germany, on the otherhand, not appreciating Hungaries lack of assistance and now having officially signed them in as Axis Members, forbade the sending of Volunteers as that contravened the non-aggression pact. In response, the Hungarians unofficially reached out via civilian organizations to the Allies, who they were still neutral with at the time. An agreement was made where they would send men and equipment via Red Cross and with the assistance of both Italian and British ships. This was officially credited to Count Pál Teleki, a civilian nobleman. Although over 25,000 Hungarians applied, due to the need for secrecy and Britains focuses shifting more heavily towards Germany, only 350 men and 1 million Pengo's worth of equipment actually made i to Finland. They were met by Manneheim himself and their commanding officer, Lieutenant Imre Kémeri Nagy was given a field promotion to Captain by the Field Marshal, a decision that was upheld by the Hungarian military. They spent the majority of the war fighting in the Karelia region where the Fins are said to have thought very highly of them and after the peace agreement, each and every officer was given an Order of the White Rose (One of Finlands highest medals for valor) Unfortunately, after the war, the Communist Hungarian government scrubbed all information of this and the only reason we have accounts of this is because of the Italian, British and Finish records and the only memorials to them are in Lapua, Finland, where the batallion of 350 were stationed.
We don't hate, we laugh when people struggle with our world's easiest to learn -language! :D During the end speculation I must make few notes, let's start with the language thing: "j" is pronounced as "y" in "you". Next, Anti-Comint was signed in 1941 as part of political theater. But funniest mistake was Fall of France. Western Front activated almost two months after Winter War ended. Even Weserübung began almost a month after Winter War ended. Oh, and funny thing, war began almost two months earlier than historically. But overall, I enjoyed this one! Good job.
My favourite fact about Finland in WWII, is that the Finnish resistance against the red army was so great, that the USSR had to hit Finnish lines with the largest artillery barrage of the entirety of WW2, twice.

We did have "kaukopartio"'s, literally scout behind enemy lines (in winter ofc, they were on skis and damn good at their job) and their primary goal was to gather information and harass enemy logistics and all that. If anything, I'd call that very much like aggressive reconnaissance!
The one year of mandatory service is still active, and yes i have to go to the military in 3 years. 3:50

What if spain did not have a civil war before WW2?
That just Isnt posiblle in thé game And even in the Real life there would need to completly change history
Then that is just sitting on your ass not doing a focus for almost four years (I believe you can totally prevent the CW in BlackICE) and also I doubt the Second Republic would have managed to keep things together for that much time
@@amn0940 maybe if they didn't do everything to provoke the nationalists? If you check the pre-war actions of the PSOE, you'll think they were looking for a fight, wich they got

What if Czechoslovakia rejected German demands?
Ww2 early, and if the czeks manage to hold the Sudetelands (easy with the fortifications focuses) long enough then a civil war brokes out in Germany, dethroning Hitler
@@elduquecaradura1468the germans might just be able to move through hungary and then into Czechoslovakia, and also, i doubt the allies would intervene instantly, if they wanted to, they wouldve just outright denied germany the sudetenland
@@elduquecaradura1468I highly doubt germany would've had a civil war that easily considering how in our world they didn't have one even when things went worse for them.
@@darkphoenix2745There was, however, the Oster conspiracy. If Czechoslovakia had refused to give up the Sudetenland and Germany subsequently went to war with them for it, Oster and his conspirators would have staged a coup. Now, whether or not that coup would have been successful, I don't know.
"They are so many, and our country is so small, where shall we find room to bury them all?"
A “What if Norway held out” would be cool but I’m not sure how realistic that is
Fictional events ate per definition not realistic
That’s not impossible, maybe they hold out north of Trondheim or in the surrounding area of Bergen.
NORWAYYYYYYY HOLDDD
As far as I'm aware, the allies kind of abandoned Norway out of fear of a second battle for France, but if they would actually commit to the Norway front, I think they might be able to hold German advances
amazing video!

The German General Staff would probably have removed Hitler at that early date.
Cool video and mostly accurate. Although I really doubt that in this already very unlikely scenario, Finland would seize Leningrad after the peace talks. Greetings from Finland!
What if sweden didint lose the great northen war and kept the empire to ww1 where they joined the central powers. (Use great war redux) And give sweden ghana and cameroon as colonies

9:55 the number of swedes was actually closer to 8 000. And as a fun extra, there was 13 british volunteers, one of them was general Ormonde Winter and one was this weird actor named Christopher Lee. though british voluteers were not part of fighting but just guard duty in safe distance from border.
Vyacheslav Molotov
The story behind the name of Molotov's cocktail is that then current minister of soviet union, Vyacheslav Molotov, claimed that bombings happening in Finnish cities around start of Winter War were "Humanitarian food aid for poor finns to stay on bread". Those bombs were dubbed as "Molotov's bread baskets" and so they needed something to go with them, hence Molotov's cocktail was named how it is.
There are no finnish military records of Lee. He did not serve here. It was a tale he liked to tell though.
@@mikaranta5840yes, he may have volunteered and all, but as you pointed out, there are no records or evidence he ever arrived.
He isn't mentioned in the dairy of Osasto Sisu or in the recollections of those who partook in it.
@@mikaranta5840 he even said he didn't serve. idk why ppl have twisted his words. he said he showed up, was told he can't volunteer for a combat unit because of the language barrier, then was kinda half halfheartedly told if he wants to help that he can get a hold of a vehicle and look for wounded civilians to transport to the hospitals, he got a van and stuck around in Helsinki for a couple days doing this, but found no injured people, felt useless, then left.

your argument about the Fins not receiving volunteers and equipment from the allies because of the fall of France is dead wrong, as the Winter War ended well before the invasion of the Benelux and France begun. Remember, France fell in May-June 1940 historically, Hoi4 games get it wrong.
much 12:09 i didn't play Finland but i think there's a focus that gives you a new doctrine "national defense" but you can't unlock it right away. What if operation barbarossa succeded?
He already did a bunch of videos with Germany defeating the Soviet Union.
Bit disappointed you didn't mention the Hungarian attempt at intervention:
When Germany declared war on Poland, Germany demanded use of Hungarian territory and railways in order to assist them.
They spent the majority of the war fighting in the Karelia region where the Fins are said to have thought very highly of them and after the peace agreement, each and every officer was given an Order of the White Rose (One of Finlands highest medals for valor)
Unfortunately, after the war, the Communist Hungarian government scrubbed all information of this and the only reason we have accounts of this is because of the Italian, British and Finish records and the only memorials to them are in Lapua, Finland, where the batallion of 350 were stationed.
