- After many years of talking about rebuilding Devon's old S14 240sx, we are finally sitting down to rebuild and restore this beauty to it's original glory and then some. We have tons planned for this car and I'm going to document the entire build all the way through. I hope you enjoy the video.

Restoration of car starts at 9:00 mark, if you'd like to skip the intro explaining the car and what our plans are for the car
coffee and cigs. you already got me locked in. im gonna binge this series.
We like to follow true JDM style when working on our cars. Like Nakai San does when doing an RWB Build lol. We should hopefully be continuing the build soon. Need the money to continue this build. We have a lot planned for this car!
@@GearheadInc make another video
I swapped all wireing harnesses (minus the doors) between two S14s. So I know how much fun y'all had.
Yea, car electrical is not my favorite thing to deal with lol. I usually avoid it like the plague
'It's always a competition. It's America.'
Not a drift build = like.
Hahaha thank you. We want to preserve this car and not turn it into a destroyed drift car that everyone seems to do. We are going for a more enthusiast build instead
@@GearheadInc Can only find 2 videos in 2018, have you given up?
@@nakazul1 no we haven't given up. Just haven't had the funds to continue the build yet. We still a ton planned for this build. Once we get some more money to continue, I will be filming every step of the way!
i cant find part 2!!!
Hopefully in the future we can get back to restoring this beauty. It's still sitting in the current state we left it. Just didn't have the money to continue for now. Just need the time and money to continue
no drift build 😕
I would have done a moon roof
Technically his car already has a moon roof, but I think he's going for weight reduction now
yeah i would’ve invited rust to infect the car too. that sounds intelligent. and add weight.
I miss my s14 i had 2 of them and have a s13 built drift car
They really are the best cars around in my opinion, and are an absolute blast to drive. True JDM feel to them
🫠
I'm like Devin I'm 15 and I have the same 240sx same year same color same everything
Very nice! How do you like it?
It's in my shop with some clutch problems and it needs a new crankshaft position sensor but over all I love it
They are definitely worth the ownership though.
theres a s14 for 4,500$ its all good and everything has one accident but it has 192k miles , idk if i should lowball him cause of the miles , If you guys can i would love it if you were to reply on what you guys think (btw the interior is CLEAN)
Does the car have a clean title? Is there anything wrong with it? Biggest concern would be to make sure it wasn't used a drift missile. As long as they have kept up on proper general maintenance, 192k miles isn't bad. I had a 92 S13 that when I bought it, had 216k miles on it and it drove like a brand new car still. The KA24DE is a very strong motor. If there aren't any major issues, then $4500 wouldn't be too bad of a price. Still kind of high in my opinion because of drift tax, but not terribly bad.
Gearhead Inc. It had one accident dosen’t say what it was , it also has a s15 front conversion . And thank you for replying , i’ll probably ask him for lower cause of the miles and drift tax
@@user-dn9du8cu3u I would also make sure that the S15 front end was fitted properly and isn't missing any parts or pieces to it (i.e. frame supports, mounts, crash bar, etc.). In my honest opinion, I would offer $3500 because it's an older car with a lot of miles and 1 accident. Hopefully not a real bad accident
So deep
Ahhh yes my 96 eclipse project. Gutted it over night, while on the trailer...no tranny. drove for a week with just the dash and driver seat. Good times.👍 im do a s14 for next resto.
Haha nice!! What all were you doing to your eclipse? What all did you have done to it?
Gearhead Inc. I was daily driving it til an electrical gremlin showed up. Sold it to the shop that was working on it. But it was lowered, full audio and i was in the process of getting funds together for bodywork, paint and a engine build. So i bought a 97 accord to replace it. Keep the accord stock. Now i have a frs.
Car electrical is the one thing I avoid at all costs when it comes to working cars. I hate them with a passion lol any big plans for the FRS?
Gearhead Inc. Yea, uel header, intake, exhaust and tune later. Its lowered on springs now with spacers on the oem wheels, ebay fart can, (but sounds amazing) lip kit, led lens paint on the tails, hids, ima get new headlights and yellow fogs then im done with the exterior. Wheels and coils after engine work. Then just other small stuff to finish it off. Simple & clean.
Oh and a supercharger if funds come around. 😁
I love how we say rip this out, then methodically and slowly take stuff apart. Lol
We have to make it sound cool, otherwise it sounds boring lol not to mention it helps us learn the "proper" way to remove parts, rather than going full Hulk Smash mode on it and breaking everything lol
Hey man I’m in San Diego and I’m interested in restoring my 240 I was wondering if I could get some contact information and advice over the phone. Thanks
What are you looking to do for your restoration?
Gearhead Inc. I’m planning on getting all the rusty parts out of it and pretty much do a full body restore and cabin restore also. My 240 is a drift build right now but I kind of want to do a concept like y’alls 240 and take it to the track when I want to but not all the time. Because I want to keep this 240 as one of my JDM collectors. My name is Whey Khalifa on Facebook if you want to add me on messenger and my Instagram is @dj_twork. If you want to dm me or anything or I can always give you my number and we could talk about advice or if you want we could work on this project together and I could throw you some money.
Very nice! I like what you're planning. Having a clean 240sx is becoming increasingly more rare as the years go on that's for sure. I'm glad to hear that you're looking to keep it clean. Nothing wrong with doing some drifting here and there along with some track time. I'll shoot you a DM on Instagram and we can go over what you're looking to do with your restoration!
Shoot me a dm on Instagram, sean_619
