I setup up one of these some while back. Very easy to do. I was making a separate interface when i found this device for half the dealers price . So for £12 i bought one. It works well. It's a bit messy i find with cables everywhere where my own arrangements would be a lot neater. Thanks for your input a good video .
Brand new HAM with a background in AV- thanks to your amazing diagram I was able to make this cable using my own TRRS connector instead of dual TRS and it came out SUPER clean! thank you so much for your work with this, the instructions were dookie! 73- KK7VYK

Same here! Raddiodity did a spectacular fail this time when it comes to documentation. I have their CE-19 gadget. Don't like it at all. NOTHING about this whole shenanigans thing is easy, convenient or what should come with a $500- expenditure.

Good advice about checking wiring and cables as it looks from the Radioditty documentation that as of June 2021 Xiegu has reversed tip and ring and also shipped one audio cable with a green color connector. My Xiegu G90 bought the month before had audio cables that match this video and no green connector cable. I am unclear as to why Xiegu can't just ship this with a cable that works for most PCs.
I am still scratching my head as to why they didnt just put the cable in with the rest . Then some bright spark probably from Xiegu comes out with a $99.99 cable . Seriously !
I use the DE-19 (built in soundcard and usb to pc) and G90 for digital in the shack. I only use the CE-19 to connect G90 to XPA125 for SSB in the field and don't need rig control.

My laptop is a little bit different. I only need one connection for headphones and a microphone. So that means the setup in their manual is good for me!
I watched your video and it’s not working. I checked the wires with a continuity tester. When I get everything plugged in and set up the software I keep getting communication bus collision. When I used wjstx it’s like the ce19 isn’t communicating with the radio and computer. Any ideas?
Did you check in device manager for the com port? With this setup there are possibly two USB ports, one for a sound card and the other for the cat control cable.
@@OnTheWorkbench I checked the com port and it was correct. What is confusing is I got it to work once then it stopped and gave me another communication bus error. I will try again tomorrow. Thank you for getting back to me.
@@axemanarbor no luck at all. The radio transmits but doesn’t receive. I have watched almost every video and still nothing. I think the only thing left is trying a different configuration when making the cables from the ce-19 to the computer.
I bought this CE19 almost a year ago NOT knowing it was not a complete plug and play thing. In 2024 that is BS. I am not an electrician nor do I want to be and hate dealing with incomplete crap. Thanks for doing your best but about threw it in the trash because of this. Do NOT recommend unless you want hours of frustration trying to figure this garbage out.
No kidding! That thing is super simple to use and takes up barely any space. I keep my xggcoms cable in my go box and use the "official" setup at home.

Not necessary. This will still work, because you are using a SoundCard to USB.

Xiegu should send an xggcoms cable straight up
