AU explanation: so basically, when clan cats die, before they are let into starclan, they have to pass a test
so they are let back down onto earth as ghosts, where they have no memory of their past life, and they have a chosen living cat they have to haunt, torment, and scare, and once the living cat is driven mentally insane, the ghost is let into starclan, where they become a starclan angel, and they can remember their life again
but obviously the system is very flawed, and once swiftpaw dies, the cat he is chosen to haunt... is lostface (brightheart)
but of course, swiftpaw doesnt remember who lostface is, so he sets off to go haunt her at her most vulnerable time, while she is grieving over an unknown dead friend
but something about her seems... 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘳...
I wont spoil the rest of the AU, as I might make a continuation of this one day, but see if you can figure out what happens next by the end cards!
on a side note, thank you all SO SO much for getting me past 300 subs!!! at the time I finished the animation, I was only at 200 subs so it's crazy how I already gained 100 more!!

It means alternate universe
It's basically taking a work of fiction such as a book, movie, tv show, and changing something about it, like the storyline, or a characters personality, lore, etc
Example: the evil spottedleaf au, where instead of spottedleaf being nice and sweet like she is in the actual books, shes bitter and wants revenge for dying so early
And she manipulates starclan cats and mapleshade, and eventually dies at the paws of all the cats she wronged
Because her personality is changed, her actions and outcomes are also changed
