You've done a beautiful job. I've been considering a similar electrical set up, starting with NAV lighting. Your work and video here has inspired me! Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks for watching, I am glad you find this helpful. Let me know if you have any questions. I am building a similar setup in our new Flow 19 trailable sport cruiser. I will also add wind data to the network from a wireless sensor from Calypso Instruments.
Thanks for watching! Always fun getting your head around outfitting a small craft for serious cruising. It can be done! Do you have a Varianta 18? Looks like a nice boat. No retractable keel though?
I will be doing the same battery set-up this coming week in my Siren and was wondering how you prevent the battery box from moving around when sailing?
I glassed two rings to the bottom of the hull and strapped the battery box down. If you don't want to go through the trouble of using a battery box and doing all the wiring, the portable power stations are a great option.
Wow, that is one awesome trailer sailor! You have done a great job. Do you have a website with a lists and links of all the gear and modifications you have done? I've got the feeling you've spent more on upgrades that the boat :)
Sorry, no web site but a lot of details, links to gear used are on our Facebook Siren 17 Owners Group here. facebook.com/groups/1946777085576249 I did spend about 8 or 9k and many, many hours tweaking and optimizing. The boat was very cheap and brand new after spending 33 years asleep in a basement garage so, I felt compelled to treat her well! Thanks for the kind words. Cheers.
I never made one specific to the Siren 17 but the one from our new boat, the Flow 19 is very similar. Here is the link. drive.google.com/file/d/1ojbAkhnty0qc8X4IK1pqRahlrUtmmmOI/view?usp=drive_link
@@siren17 Thank you very much, I just got my small Comet 910 Plus and I would like to add your B&G and I have also to change my tiller pilot and I am thinking at the TP32, I don't like the ST-2000 Raymarine. Keep in touch... Rob
@@robynair123 Nice boat from the architect who pretty much designs all Beneteau hulls! I think either model, TP22 or TP32 will work well. The TP32 is way overkill for my 17 footer but I got a great deal of eBay. I think the TP22 is a bit slower to travel but still has plenty of torque for your boat. It works really well networked to the B&G chart plotter. I use Navionics Sonar charts on the plotter, I don't even have a depth sounder on my boat, the charts are very good and depths are highly detailed. Just curious what don't you like on the ST-2000?
@@siren17 Number one is the price, too hight for what you get. Quality wise I prefer the TP32 it is much robust, more powerfull and last but not least waterproof. 2° I never ear any rumors about tech issue after few year or normal utilization ... a different story with ST2000 or St1000 after 2/3 year they have to be repaired or changed completely. Yes Simrad dosen't have the display but who really care about it. I have a question for you could you attach a remote controll via the Vulcan and remotely control the TP32 ?
Holy crap! All that on that small of a boat. Pretty amazing...
nice setup always enjoy seeing how others setup their boats

Very nice setup, good job.
Very good job and so clever details. My respect. I like your solution for the turnable nav, will try to do so on my Varianta. Fair winds!

On the stern inside of the cockpit there is a + and - switch? What is that for? Very nice presentations on this channel. Thank you.

@@siren17 Thank you Thierry! I see the ring now on closer inspection. I will do something likewise.
What brand or type of epoxy do you suggest for mounting item or brackets inside the cabin ?
Six 10 thicken epoxy from West System
On your Solar Panel, where did you get the mount for it and what is the name of the cockpit hatch ?? I enjoy your videos and like your ideas
Thanks for the note. The mount is a RAM mount with C size ball. They have various arms length and ball bases. 23”x13” hatch from DPI Marine.
@@siren17 Cheers !!!
Great videos, thank you. Which sealant have you used for the through deck connections eg the auto tiller? Is it different to used under the lights?
Hi Lief, I just use a bit of marine grade latex sealant.
How tou made the ground..ir heart in your electrical sistem?
No need for grounding, low wattage 12V system. Just + and - cables.

Hello, do you have a wiring diagram to share?

@@robynair123 There is a wired remote that attaches to the TP tiller pilots but also a wireless remote option that would tie into the Simnet network.
Where did u get the fuse box?
