I would say either Roman or Bray should’ve beat the Streak, but NOPE they feed Bray to Taker @ SS and Roman beat a past his Prime Taker year later or was it 2016.
At least the WWE writer with the "Frozen Nazi" idea has admitted he was outwardly *trying* to get fired. Or at least test the very limits of Vince's Attitude/R.A. Era brain, which is a subject worthy of study for anyone who watched the non-wrestling output during those years without the rose-tinted specs...
Bray Wyatt should’ve been the one to end the streak when he faced undertaker at Wrestlemaina,it would’ve been a perfect passing of the torch moment and taker could’ve retired with only one loss instead of two
Listening to the absolute garbage being reported makes me even more thankful that VKM is Long Gone. Just a shame he wasnt gone about 2015(ish) if not sooner.
People need to realise that as bad as the WM 33 main event was, and as unpopular as "super-babyface" Roman was anyway (ESPECIALLY on Raw After Mania in 2017), THAT could have been the end of The Streak, had Vince not decided on a whim for it to be Brock on the DAY of Mania XXX in 2014... I would have had it be Bray in 2015. And then DONE SOMETHING with him...
Both are horrible choices. Roman was and still is an average wrestler and Brock never needed to end the streak to enhance his already stellar career at any point. If they couldn't find someone else to break it then why even break it at all?
Regarding the streak, I think Lance Storm laid it out perfectly. They should have had Taker declare, that he would 'go' until someone managed to beat him. This would have changed fans' expectations from 'if' to 'when' and conditioned them to expect that it would eventually happen.
Hiedenriech: "Look, I'm just a Nazi from the 40's who got frozen, and was unfrozen in modern times. Your PC culture and customs frighten and confuse me!"😂
Vince has definitely done a lot of wrong but I don’t think we give the man enough credit for the good he’s done. I definitely believe he would’ve been able to pull off that mid life crisis gimmick. Him being old and out of touch was a constant running joke and Vince is actually hilarious. I think it would’ve been solid tbh lol

In late 90's, WWE want to a yakuza storyline with some Japanese wrestler, they had on payroll, Japanese guys had to talk them out of the storyline, because yakuza would may seen it as offensive etc and put a hit out, just crazy
Not late 90's, I don't think (unless it was pitched for Kaientai at some point, by Russo or Ferrara most likely). It was actually Tajiri's group in late 2003-early '04 with Akio (Jimmy Yang) and Sakoda. In many ways the R.A. Era writers were the same or even worse than the Attitude writers. It was Prichard, Patterson (who were still closer to old-school wrestling bookers as opposed to douchey shock-TV sports-entertainment writers), and the top wrestlers themselves that really came up with the best of that era. It's just the in-ring aspect started to take precedence in the R.A. Era, with the prime years of Kurt, Eddie, Edge and many others happening during that time...
Whenever it comes to these insane ideas. I’m always curious how many they were “pitched”. What I mean is how many were akin to brainstorming and how many were seriously being pushed as an idea to do.
You missed Adrian Neville becoming Mighty Mouse. And WWE did actually do the website thing with Maximum Male Models to as little success as you'd expect...yet still not as bad as the Viking Profits debacle.
If the streak has to be broken, then it's gotta be kane to break it, imagine the story went like this , Undertaker remained undefeated till 2020 and at WrestleMania he makes an open challenge stating that he wants to retire but the streak is preventing him so the challenge is answered by kane and when kane breaks the streak both of them will retire together as brothers of destruction.
Who are you trying to fool with that Vladimir Kozlov thumbnail? The steak at 21-1 was 2014 and Kozlov was released in 2011. These guys just make stuff up and try to pass it on as fact. This is why I rarely watch these goofs anymore
The streak should have have been broken. Sure, maybe it added a slight shine to Brock as a monster attraction for a year or two, but long term it the pay off wasn’t worth it.
Vince going through a mid-life crisis, sounds awesome. Edit: Having Brock break the streak was a big L for WWE. They took that story nowhere after he broke the streak, and it's not something he never needed at any point in his career. Stupid!
Bonus and granted not at all my own original idea. If it would have been cena, Have it be instead of twice in a lifetime, come after a year of losing and have him cheating to eventually win. Then Rock could have put over Punk
the only guy I could entertain on your list is kane, brock lesnar was def the right guy, and having taker losing his streak in a dirty way, diminishes all the guys before him who were heel that tried to win clean, lesnar was correct because he was the most successful ufc guy in history of wwe, and was the qucikest rising star guy in his first start of the business and had a all out war with taker at just the age of 25-27, writing was on the wall
WWE still had Mike "Kanellis" Bennett pin his wife Maria in a "doctor's office" for the 24/7 title while she was legit pregnant with their second child, in around 2019... 😅🤣 Jessika Carr was revealed to be the doctor...
Honestly I think Edge would have been an acceptable streak beater. He was a slimy annoying heel at the time it could have worked and made edge more of a legend.
I still can't believe how badly Vince fumbled The Revival. I guess it goes along with his hatred for tag teams. But it's not like their career in AEW has been great. Sure, when they were hot and the fans were chanting their name, they had great matches. But it feels like it's been over a year since we've seen that FTR team. And like many of AEW wrestlers nowadays, no one cares when they have a match. Especially after that terrible singles match with Jericho.
No one should've broken the streak. And if it had to be broken it should've been Bray Wyatt or Roman Reigns with Roman turning heel from that point. But yea imo no one should've broken the streak
If anyone brake streak it should been someone who wasn’t part timer bray Wyatt i think it would have definitely put him main event status Brock was already there it should been someone who wasn’t there yet like bray or even Roman but not Brock
Ngl if booked the right way I could the Kaval being undertakers son but with a better name I mean they made Kane and undertaker brothers I mean why not
Considering Heyman's mother was an actual holocaust survivor, I'm glad the Heidenreich story never actually happened. What a horrible pitch.
Yeah
From what I read it sounds like Dan was taking the piss out of Vince and his standards.
I think Undertaker should’ve remained undefeated at WM. He had been undefeated so long I didn’t see the point of having him lose.
I'm not against the streak ending, but having Brock be the guy to end it is one of the dumbest things they've done
21-1 sounds catchy, but 20-0 is better. They should’ve stopped those streak matches at 2012.
@@jeffreymark475I wouldn’t say one of the dumbest things, but Brock DID NOT NEED IT.

Bobby Lashley would have been a great pick to beat the streak. And it would have been a good jump start to the almighty gimmick.
Say what you will about Vince McMahon, but his questionable booking and bizzare ideas are a fascinating spectacle in itself.

"The Mole" sounds like a good gimmick for a comedy wrestler, so why the hell was it pitched for "The Anvil"
Who.
To keep him employed, perhaps?
Just imagine what it would actually be like to spend a day in Vince McMahon’s mind 😂😂😂
We don't have his money or friends in high places; so *we'd* be in jail...
@ I’m talking simply as far as his mind in regards to ideas for storylines with WWF/WWE, I wouldn’t want to imagine his mind outside of that
Vladimir Kozlov had a great theme tho ngl
Jim Johnston really had the ability to make low or mid card wrestlers look like stars with the themes he would give them.
Akin to a Russian Rammstein...

The Revival one would have been great character development
Right now, can't help but think FTR would be better off in WWE than the joke they've been turned into in AEW.
I mean granted all things playing out the way real life did, Bray or Brodie Lee/Luke Harper ending the streak would have been huge
