    I had played these settings before but decided to give it another go after your last video. Got stuck with 2 passive woossies who wouldn't work on the other guy and just tried to take advantage of the other two's war. Took me 6 hours to get the win. These settings are hell if there are at least 3 people who know how to play decently

    Green and yellow were clearly the same player in this game - yellow never attacked green, even when 'card blocked'. Green unnecessarilly cleard the bot guard on yellow to give them cards again - then the clincher: when you thumbs down yellow, green responded on the wrong account!!!

    Theses settings are really fun until you run into people that don't use alliances to choke out other players from the game. But where EU prog caps stalemates at the highest skill level, I can't see these settings stalemating in a lobby of higher-ranking players that know how to leverage cooperation.

    Green taking 2 bonuses at 10:30 without a single troop loss is ridiculous. I don't think true random works for strategy tournaments, despite being way better than insane Blitz rolls on caps.
    Wish they could just make cap rolls true random, and everything else is Blitz.

  • @KingGeorge162
    @KingGeorge162 10 місяців тому +2

    Pretty sure that manualling matters. I have lost multiple times a 6 v1 roll blitzing and never when I was manualing the rolls time by time. Might even be an option to slider the rolls to always just attack with 3 dices. Did someone do the maths?

      @@TheKillPeteStrategyI don't find True Random to be normal probability with its high variance, and caps aren't suitable for competition before or after the break, but especially before.

    Pete, I wish I could make a stream because you seem like a great person to bounce ideas off of and have a back and forth conversation. Question(eventually) as someone who has been around a ton of mental illness be it family or friends, I have been around it my whole adult life. I have always had an understanding that life really is what you make of it. I've personally have never experienced true "depression", but that being said I see how easily it could consume your life if you allow it. You've mentioned many times that you are putting on a show (which you do great I appreciate your content, it's truly great and keeps me entertained as well as obviously many others.) Saying that I don't know your true personal life nor am I trying to poke or prod at what you keep private. I'm curious whether you find "putting on a show", which I would say requires a ton of energy day in day out keeps you happy. I my whole adult life have been around, far too closely with depression and anxiety issues. Obviously from the outside looking in it's simple to say just be happy, do what makes you happy, and get on with life. I guess with this context being what it is do you think choosing (I believe this portion is a choice, I have had negative thoughts, be it toward past trauma or just not wanting to do what needs to be done to maintain the life I envision.) to be happy/uplifting/exciting (whatever you want to call it.) helps keep you out of negative thoughts and makes it easier to just be happy with life. As I have "grown up" ,(I also live in Canada FYI), I have come to see tons of problems in society, the government, issues with family and so on. I feel I have chosen regardless of the struggle I may experience to push forward with a smile, of course some days are hard, but in the grand scheme of things I am happy on a regular basis and I do what I can to make others of value to my life (family and close friends) be happy or at the very least I try to be a shoulder to cry on. Rounding back to the original idea of this question and it being something that I'm hoping to open discussion with, do you think at the root, even if it may be fake, acting or putting on a face of happiness (making that "choice") can be answer or way forward towards happiness?

    • @TheKillPeteStrategy
      @TheKillPeteStrategy  10 місяців тому +1

      I do think depressed people choose to be depressed but in the same sense as the alcoholic chooses to drink.
      Once I framed my own depression as an addictive process I was able to get a much better handle on how to heal myself.

    If the ten minutes run out it says calculating results and you win. If a player started out as a neutral bot, you have to kill them to win.

    Yellow and Green were obviously the same guy, just trying to hide it. Both broke pink in the start, yellow was the sacrificial account to slow down and cause damage. Neither broke the other when it was easy; green unblocked yellow for cards, and their actions 100% aligned the entire game.

    • @palutalu

    Awesome game! Fixed might be slow but it never truly stalemates. With infinite time somebody will outgenerate the others and will win, even with the caps. In a progressive game this doesn't happen and the game can only progress with card blocks, bot with patience.

    I love you as a steamer, but sometimes you miss such obvious opportunities. When magenta started fortifying to cap towards the end, he motioned to you through multiple turns he wants to suicide into to green and end the game. He likely was trying to negotiate for 2nd. However for multiple turns you failed to realize or chose not to open his cap and give him the line to hit green. I think that was a miss on your part and doing so could have ended the game much sooner. Eventually you did it but it was after you started to hit green and he just decided to wait it out at that point. Also you got lucky he didnt shift gears and hit instead because obviously he got impatient and wanted the game to conclude, giving him no opportunity to hit green could have made hit you instead because it was the only open line. Maybe I’m off here, but that was my read and how i would navigated that body water.

    27:58 why lie here? Maybe it’s just me but I feel like I’m more likely to noob slam someone who blatantly lies like that rather than someone who just responds to my yes/no with “no” also he’s across the board getting his bonuses broken and can’t retaliate if you just thumbs down

    • @TheKillPeteStrategy
      @TheKillPeteStrategy  10 місяців тому

      I have no problem sending a non committal thumbs up to a person asking me to do something actively stupid. If they want to condescend to me I'll reciprocate that. Asking me to hit magenta is insulting because obviously magenta is my best friend this game and enabled my victory. I was never going to hit magenta this game unless they hit me first.
      So as far as alliance comms go on that if the request is reasonable than it requires a reasonable response. If the request is ridiculous like in this case than I'm happy to give it a ridiculous response.

    • @Sushigh0st
      @Sushigh0st 10 місяців тому

      @@TheKillPeteStrategy to each their own I suppose, if I’m in that spot and someone is smart enough to thumbs up/down me and understand that, I’m guessing they’re smart enough to understand why it’s not a good move for me to hit magenta, and they probably just hope that I’m the stupid one here and will turn on magenta for no reason. I’d much rather tell someone “no I will not work with you on this” or even just not respond at all than fake thumbs up and potentially give the impression that later down the line you can’t work with me because I might thumbs up you, let you piss off the other guy, and then not follow up on it.
