Thank you brother....your videos are helping me out for REAL!!!! Everyone else's videos are just them trying to show how dope they are....but this is like school!!!! Thanks again!!
Not sure if you cover this here/later, but with jjos there’s a sequence/pad to track function that lets you move specific pads (in a specified time range) so if you like to play the program/drum beat all together you can do that and still get the performative/mixing advantages of having different drums/groups on different tracks (mute, solo, etc)
Hey man, sweet videos! I just bought my MPC 1000 with JJOS 3.13 so my screens are slightly different but I'm pretty sure you should still be able to rename sequences and programs with the pads. Each pad has like 2 letter assignments so its like old school texting but its still beats the scroll wheel. If ya didn't already know.. Keep it up!
Kick's too loud? Hi-hat's too loud? I've never heard of such things. Thanks for all the help. I've had my 1K for about three weeks and your videos have really helped .
Hey nomadic, I need your help. I got my sampler wet a while ago and factory reset it which deleted the JJOS software...Do you know of any safe/faithful links to redownload JJOS for the mpc 1000? How would I download/transfer it from my MacBook into the sampler? If anyone has any answers, you'd be a real hero!
+Edwin Fire Yes! Create your template and save all the data to a root folder in your hard disk. In the load screen, pick "A. LOAD," then select your hard disk and template folder. It will load automatically!
Hey Buddy nice video! I have an issue with mpc1000 jj osxl 2. I cannot seem to locate the T.C tab. The loop tab is in its place. I know from the video you did, the T.C tab is the first one.
Once you're done creating your beat, where do you "save" the entire thing (Sequence + Samples) ? It seems like every time I save the sequence, after turning it back on and loading it from the memory card, it loads the midi notes for each track but not the program or the samples that come with it help help :) thanks !! Your videos are amazing !!!
Nomadikh Tutorials Oh great I get it. So by saving the "Entire Memory" I'm saving the whole session of everything I've done since I last turned it on ? Thats good that means also that by loading other sequences in a specific order I can easily arrange setlists ? Thanks again man, you're a legend.
Hey man I’ve been using your videos to learn how to use my mpc on jjos 2xl, just wondering how to auto assign samples chromatically? Could you or someone help me out
+Sheldon Mojica A Sequence is usually just a building block of your song. In the end you might have like 5 sequences or let's say 15, depending on the complexity of your song. So the first sequence could correspond to your Intro, the second one to Verse 1, the third one two the hook, the 4 one to verse 2, the fifth one to the bridge, and so on. You have a song mode in the mpc, where you can play back all your building blocks (Sequences) after one another (you can arrange the sequences as you want, it does not have to be in order) and that is the place where you would possibly name your song.
+Nomadikh Tutorials Nice! Looking forward to your new stuff. Compared to the 1000: Do you like the Renaissance better and how do think about being "tied" to a computer with it?
Hey I was also missing this part on the video. I think he just showed how to save on the previous one, but not this case where you want to save your entire Project as you said. So what you need to do is: From the main screen go to SAVE mode (press mode, light's on, then PAD3 SAVE) and then, is same process than in the other video but on the upper left option, which is the 'kind of saving you doing', you must select ENTIRE MEMORY-1. This method will save everything you made AND will create a Project file on same folder. Now you can turn off your MPC. Next time, you just need to go to LOAD, then select the Project you made before. Everything is gonna be there! Hope this helped!
I'm having trouble staying on tempo for a basic drum beat, and I think its because my metronome is set to 1/4, the clicking is too fast. I tried setting it to 1/2, but it doesn't let me go any lower than 1/4. Any tips for this? Any advice would be appreciated I've tried doing research on this but no luck. Thank you!
Nomadikh You need to be working for Akai explaining how these machines work. None of the other people who are trying to teach these machines do it as well as you do. I have many of these machines but I am having trouble understanding some of the terminology . I recently bought the MPC Renaissance but didn't like it and I bought a MPC 5000 because I like the stand alone type of MPC much better. When you go into the Rom of the 5000 ,they have all these kits Lm-1 , Linn drum , 808. 909 . and if you open the folder all of these sounds are there but it is not clear how to load all of these sounds at the same time though you can load them separately. And the people at Akai support couldn't make it clear. It has been really hard to learn how to work on a project and close it down and then get it back again but by carefully watching the file names and what is at the top of the file names and making sure that you are loading or saving and exactly what type of file you are loading or saving has helped. I wish that you could get your hands on a 5000 because I bet you could help and by watching this video again probably will help. It is just understanding how Akai is trying to get you where you want to go is the problem. Reading the manual only helps slightly when the terminology is so unclear.
i need some drum kit or samples for my mpc1000 you know where i can get them? i use to dj now looking to start creating my own stuff not just going to the studio and sit with other producers
9 years later still useful thanks a lot man ! Straight to the point !
For sure man!
I've recently purchased an mpc 1000 based on your videos and would have been lost without this school. Many Thanks.
Very good tutorials, thank you for sharing these!
sitting here 2021, with my new MPC1000 im so glad your videos out here.
hahaha me too man.
I think you do the best MPC vids on UA-cam.
Thank you brother....your videos are helping me out for REAL!!!! Everyone else's videos are just them trying to show how dope they are....but this is like school!!!! Thanks again!!

Never knew about this!
Thanks. It was very helpful. Even if i learn to use MPC Ren all the basics is the same. Thanks!!

Very clear! Thank you!

Great video man
Im having a hard time finding a mpc 1000...after watching these videos i gotta get my hands on one
Super helpful. You're an excellent teacher. Do you have a Patreon?

Anyone know why my record button seems to be stuck, I try to press record and it doesn’t, and its just stuck on the red light
how do i get the pre loads gone
Something is wrong with my mpc 1000. When I making a beat it is everywhere? I hope this makes sense.
damn howd you get the white screen?
is there a way to assign automaticaly a track to each pad or to make some sort of template???
+Edwin Fire Yes! Create your template and save all the data to a root folder in your hard disk. In the load screen, pick "A. LOAD," then select your hard disk and template folder. It will load automatically!
What is that beat at the end? I've heard that piano somewhere
do the programs and tracks work the same way in the software I've had my studio for 8 months and still am confused by it
Merci ^^
Do you know anythimg about the Instrument Porogram?
Nevermind I just found it!
Very cool tutorials thanks!
Actually it would be great if you made a video about the Instrument Program
It's pretty Awesome!
is there a way to use my mpc 1000 PGMs anymore? I don't have the mpc 1000 anymore. I switched to MPK249
Not sure
what if you dont use the mixer in the mpc? are you able to show how to track out into a regular mixer? (mackie, behringer, etc)
Tracking out is a different process. For a demonstration how to track into a sound card check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/L6q0Y8N6w5I/v-deo.html
this video was helpful, but i meant connecting to an actual mixer, and not using the built in one on the mpc..sorry!
Hey Buddy nice video! I have an issue with mpc1000 jj osxl 2. I cannot seem to locate the T.C tab. The loop tab is in its place. I know from the video you did, the T.C tab is the first one.
on the main screen press SHIFT -> F1, or SHIFT -> F4 if you want them switched

In JJOS2XL you need to save it as "Entire Memory-1." For more information watch episode 10 in the series.

Hey man I’ve been using your videos to learn how to use my mpc on jjos 2xl, just wondering how to auto assign samples chromatically? Could you or someone help me out
I'm not sure how to do that, I always did it manually. Sorry!
No problem, your videos are great by the way they’ve really been helping me learn how to use it quite quickly, how would you do it manually?
@@matthewgarcia8450 I would just find a one shot sample that I knew the key of already and just 16 Levels -> Tune
Perfect thanks a lot man you’ve been a lot of help, great set of videos you have done here
So would you consider the "Sequence" as your song name? Or is that just a part of the overall song? Like the hook or verse?
+Sheldon Mojica A Sequence is usually just a building block of your song. In the end you might have like 5 sequences or let's say 15, depending on the complexity of your song. +Marcel Iseli thank you, definitely cleared things up!
Are you still on the MPC 1000 or did you switch over to the MPC Renaissance? Thinking of selling my Renaissance and getting a 1000 instead.
Switched to the Renaissance. New videos on it will be out shortly.
+Nomadikh Tutorials Nice! Looking forward to your new stuff. Compared to the 1000: Do you like the Renaissance better and how do think about being "tied" to a computer with it?
The computer is definitely a drawback but overall the speed increase makes it worth it (in my opinion). I would definitely recommend it.

Nice tutorial!, how can i save a proyect, with the samples and programs? so when i want to play, i only load the whole project, thanks

Keep your T.C. at 1/8 or 1/16 but turn your tempo slower (top left corner) to slow the beat down.
Also make sure your time signature is 4/4 for most music today.. this is to the right of your BPM on top of "Main" screen :)
cool

I'm tripping, that OS is way different, I'm running JJOS 3.16. Is that the stock OS? Actually looks cool
It's JJOS2XL
@@Nomadikh thank you! Is that the paid version? I'll Google it up and check it out.
Yes it is
