It's actually nice to see howard and penny on friendly bases
yeah i think they showed penny laughing at howards jokes 3 times in this 1 scene, just to show how their relationship has improved since howard isnt a creep anymore, plus penny's best friends with his wife
They rarely interact outside of the group except in the hot troll deviation . Howard admitted in S11E6 that Penny never really liked him .
It's because Howard isn't as much of a perv in later seasons
Penny is always on the side of the person who's picking on others. In between Leonard and Sheldon , she's always on Sheldon's side.

Howard was awesome in this scene.
The platonic love relationship between Raji and Howard (who can be totally both bisexual) is sweet, but It is pretty sad and homophobic that the girls though "If a man shows human`s emotions without fear, and seek for comfort, he is gay". It is like thinking that all the girls are sweet and open. Not surprisingly, homophobia is linked to sexism.

my best friend in high school used to do that as well, always making jokes. after years of me playing along or just not saying anything i told him that its getting old. like when your a teenager its fine, when we are growing up to adults........ he got mad and we didn't hang out for awhile. eventually it passed, he still makes jokes but alot less.

Yeah, Raj was more like Joey (The most under-developed character of the show), Howard is like Phoebe (Been there right from EP 1, but not so much of a growth like in very less) and Bernie is like Mike, with so many extended episodes... Lenny is the nerd version of Ross and Rachel and ShAmy is the nerd version of Mondler... Simple to decode...
Unfortunately the whole series seems to based a little on the whininess and not-growing-up...its sad that they need that for their comedy
