    Typically when I’m sick it’s because of a throat infection and I can’t talk, so I’ll typically sign small words to my family since we’re not fluent

    Mr. Wheeler, these videos you make are absolutely wonderful! I learned ASL 1 in high school "9th grade, and I'm going to continue" I'm out for summer now. But, I just wanted to say that your videos are great and help me learn a lot more about asl! ASL really interests me. Question, are you able to talk, or do you just sign more often?

    Lovely video. I have a question though. The hospital and patient signs are done on the side of the chest, front of the arm or side of the arm? I can't tell exactly with the black shirt on black background. Thank you. Also, is panic the same sign as anxiety?

    =o so cool, thank you!
    Might I ask: how would one sign:
    "Stop breathing" or "hold your breath"
    "relax"
    "don't move"
    "deep breath in"
    "deep breath out"?
    I ask because I'm currently studying to be an x-ray technologist and for some procedures we need to give breathing instructions to our patients and it's just occurred to me, what if we have a patient who's hard of hearing? I would hope they have a translator but what if it happens that they don't? Or if it's someone who normally has a hearing aid but they have to take it out for the exam?
    If anyone knows of a video that has these signs and can point me towards them, thank you in advance!!!

    • @averywillow2144
      @averywillow2144 4 роки тому +1

      Always use the same hand for everything if you're left dominant and primarily use your left then continue using the left. For these signs just flip them.

    Why did you choose a black background and black shirt...re-do and re-post for others to glean.

    •  6 років тому +9

      Karen Cleveland that's the idea, so you can concentrate on the hands and the face only

    • @karenschmidtke8129
      @karenschmidtke8129 6 років тому

      ASL is not a "hands" and "face" only language.

    •  6 років тому +4

      Karen Cleveland I know, it's a hole body experience but the main thing to know is the hand signs, and this is a very basic lesson so for beginners it's a good way to start first with the hands and the expressions if that makes sense.
