I like how all the dislikeable villains are black ( Gecko, Sakazuki, Lucci), always hated playing against them and always refused to play black. But ive been excited for a crazy unique mechanic blackbeard leader and this did not disappoint. Seems fitting. Also good job on the thumbnail looks sick💪
This leader will probably end up being a meta call in tempo heavy metas (i.e. OP06) or be sidelined completely unless it releases along with some very broken support. Also in the mirror match both players will have vanilla leaders
I find it interesting how mysterious op09 remains. We know more about sets coming next year. I think they don't want to say how good this set will be because of the scalpers.
RP Law could be a potential auto win for BB. Yeah sure, you can remove but how many times before you are without hands/don. You wouldn't be able to use Reiju/Queen, so it will be really difficult
@LabLab3029 but when you have 5 life and you're planning on pitching a card every turn with no draw power, it's trigger of draw 2 trash 1 is pretty good
Not when u running stuff like manshery which because of the activate main instead of on play he could use immediately and get a card and trash that card he just got
They're gonna have to get blackbeard alot of card draw for him to use his effect as often as we think, I think it's just gonna be on pivotal turns for example against enel into their 8/9/10 turns to shut down kata and yamato, or same thing for like purple kaido, against law sure he can make him fall behind a turn or 2 but law can just put down a bepo or kid on those turns and then start bottom decking and immediately catch up, the sanji leader is gonna destroy this deck I think
Think that overall, it depends on what kind of advantage the deck can get. The lack of in plays to the deck is just as limiting as the opponents. The archetype has to revolve around mains. And it can’t play the best cards right now. Hope it’s good cause otherwise, this deck is all hype to flame out. And it’s not going to be good at removal or big plays unless the support is strong. Like no Stussy, Sabo, Issho, Gecko, Kuzan is wack lol
I’ll definitely keep running doffy to deal with this leader Lock down all 5c or less and use my when attacking/activate main purple cards to keep extending the cage
It still has an interesting effect on doff though because it shifts the playstyle more towards purple, as things like your sugars and 10doffs aren't as reliable
@@xavierdestremau5732 sugar would still be pretty reliable considering it has a once per turn effect that can rest any character on the opponents board And u don’t really gotta go crazy purple U really only need the 7c kid and 8c bullet

They are definitely going to make Blackbeard pirates cards that negate his effect for himself. It won’t be just a bunch of vanillas.
