It's sad that Doug Engle is the only original member left. I remember getting the album and played this song for hours. Being a drummer I listened Ron Bushy's solo over and over. That was a good time back in the day.

Back in the 70's when I was a ful time drummer, the first solo I learned to play was Inna Gadda Da Vida. Man I loved this song.

Cuenta la leyenda, no sé si es verdad, que al momento de grabar esta canción en estudio, el cantante estaba tan drogado que no pudo decir el título original que era "in the garden of eden". Para no atrasar la grabación, la dejaron como "in a gadda da vida", sonaba bien.

The story was Doug Ingle (lead singer) was so drunk and slurring so bad when he was having Ron Bushy (drummer) write down the lyrics that Bushy wrote down "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" instead.
