They live between 18 and 22 degrees C in the wild. I have them in an unheated tank and they do really well in winter. They don't like the summer as much (it gets too hot here for them). I'm thinking of adding a homemade chiller to the tank to cool it down in summer. Swordtails & danios are fine at the same temperatures as rosy barbs, cherry barbs, neon tetras and tiger barbs like it warmer, and gourami aren't advised because their little feelers might get nipped off by the barbs.
Underrated channel❤
Thank you
I kept rosy barb with 7 inch arowana and 4 inch silver dollar and they ate it last year .I know situation but that time I has no extra tanks 😢😭😭
I absolutely love my rosey barbs they are active and get along with my tetras and gouramis and I have one angel fish in my 55 gallo planted tank.
Sounds awesome👏
thus rosy barb will be okay with a fine sand? it will not swallow the sand?
ps: beginner here I already have rosy barb as my first fish.
doesnt matter what substrate you use, its usually down to your personal preferences
Sand is fine for barbs
Sand is in nature no worries
Rosy barb is friendly fish, they look like mini gold fish for me.
Ya peaceful ones
can i add my betta?
I have 5 Rosy Barb with a female Betta, it all depends on the temperament of each individual fish
Rosy barbs are cool water fish they won’t mix well with any of the fish you recommend
They are a temperate fish
What would be good tank mates
Well, I already have them with cherry barbs, sunset gouramis and zebra danios in a cool tank and this set up has been very happy for over a yearr,
