This video was so interesting to watch! I usually look at photos and think they're just pictures, but hearing the stories behind these works brought them to life for me and helped me appreciate the artistry behind them. I'll give more consideration to the art of photography in the future. Thanks for doing this! :)
Matt, curious. Does the style street allows for crooked horizons? I find your pictures somewhat perfect, but leaving them skewed like that to my taste totally shut out the photographic life from it. Like someone didn't want to finish the job really. Second, how I appreciate street style as you mention is about luck a luck, I disagree you need a specific camera to do that. It's luck, not decisive moments. It's cameras and lenses ... not Leica specifically.
Matt says that sometimes he becomes "invisible." With a chin like that and a bald head like that and a Leica, no one could really be invisible for long. I think the guy sitting on the park bench with the small dog below was just afraid Matt was going to ask for money. He was ignoring Matt as best he could.
I bought a used Leica M-E from the Miami dealership and love it! Yup, it took me a few years to pay it off and I bought a Zeiss 35m f/2 which I could afford (would love a Summicron...someday). Well worth the purchase. Hope you find a way to own one.
I'm so glad he said I was lucky. But he is right the hard work is being there
Fantastic. Simply fantastic. I could have watched another hour or two! Matt seems like a really fun dude.
Matt is one of my favorite photographers.
Wow! Best street photography video ever. Lots of 'indecisive moments' for every 'decisive moment.'

"It must be nice" to be able to afford a Leica.
