Working on the Blackbird design "America" Love seeing all of your beautiful stitching. Use to watch the car races years ago...but all the drivers that I use to follow have long retired....even went to a couple of races...yes it is very loud...but it was exciting....Happy stitching ladies...

I love all your stitching!!! I am a Nascar fan but we always watch the Indy 500. So tomorrow will be nonstop racing for me. There is a NASCAR guy that will be running both the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600, his name is Kyle Larson. There has only been a handful of drivers that have even attempted to do both on the same day. I cannot to wait to see both races!!!!
You two brought me over to the dark side ( you better have cookies! lol) When I got to visit Keepsakes on May 11 I bought two of the pear books and some (Are you ready?) purple silks to try, While in Kentucky I also got to visit RNR woodworks and Rogue Stitching. So glad to see you two today.

My dad used to take us to stock car races at the county fair when I was a kid. I would fall asleep!!!!!! To this day I'm not a race fan. I'm a baseball gal. Perfect for cross stitching because when anything exciting happens it's always replayed, so you never miss anything! Thanks for sharing all your stitching adventures with us.

I had to laugh at the lawn mower noise. I’m wearing noise canceling headphones to watch you and I hear the lawnmower and think my headphones aren’t doing a very good job lol. My husband is a full time Chaplain with NHRA drag racing. I loved your reminiscing of racing! Although drag racing is quite different than Indy or Daytona 500 type racing, it all thrills me!! Thanks again for all you both do. It is nice to sit and stitch and listed to y’all . Peace for the soul.💗

What an experience for you to be able to walk around the track. My husband use to race Cort Wagner a race driver for Ferrari, in the hills of Mulholland Drive in Beverly Hills back in his younger days. Lovely projects. I love that last framed piece . Love the pink dog

Laura, we are big Indy 500 folks here- had it on both TVs all day. My daughter raced against Stingray Robb for years as a kid in go cart series out here in Idaho. Fun to see him lead for several laps

You two are the ones that come to mind for sharing this news. Last Monday, June 3, 2024, I had hip replacement surgery. We were in the waiting room for registration. As frequently happens with major surgery, we got into the what if discussion. I said I know none of you want my cross stitch pieces, but please don’t give them to goodwill. Almost in unison they said what are you talking about, we love your cross stitch and will fight over them. My youngest, who I thought would be the least likely to want it said there will be no fighting, I get it all! This revelation still brings tears to my eyes. I am recovering well and looking forward to stitching again.
First of all...glad you are recovering well!!!!! Hope you can stitch again ASAP! And what great news you had from your family!!!!!! Yay!!! That is the only case we endorse a family fight! Sending good wishes for a fast recovery!

When I was in high school in the late 90s, we had the 17 year cicadas in western Pennsylvania, and it was like a Biblical plague had taken over my small town. My mom is a bug-o-phobe at the best of times, and I distinctly remember her throwing a blanket over her head so she could run screaming to the car without having any land on her. And I mean *screaming*. It was hilarious.

They had a great sale celebrating their 1 year anniversary. I am so lucky to have them as my LNS. Laura it’s funny that you mentioned DMC 831, because I need that color. The chart only calls for 3 flosses and that is one of them. I should receive it next week in my123 order.
Loved seeing you on Saturday! Usually hubby has the control and he’s watching WW2 documentaries. How many times can someone watch the Normandy landing?? Guess he thinks the same about my Flosstube watching! Brenda I love that quilt behind you! Is it an antique? Happy Race Day tomorrow Laura. I have a nephew who works for a pick up truck race team. He does promotional gigs for them. I too grew up going to stock car races. It was a 1/4 mile track with a lot of action. Great times with my mom and dad. Dad would always pretend to be a race car driver when we would leave the track. Us kids always squealed in delight while mom yelled for him to slow down. Thanks for the memories!
Love your videos! Hope you enjoyed the Indy 500. My aunt, who’s now 97 yo, was one of the early female stock car drivers. She raced for decades, and in her later years would be asked to attend NASCAR hall of fame events to sign autographs.
Loved the video as usual! Plan to relax and stitch today. Grandson graduated yesterday so it was a very busy, enjoyable day. I can’t find the candles. Those were so fun!

I hope your shot works for you. I had the same, but 4 fingers! The shot wore off and had surgery. Still recovering but can cross stitch but have to take breaks once in awhile.
I hope that you get back to full health ASAP Julie!!!!! I hope that I just needed that one time shot and all remains the same. That was very worrisome as it was affecting my stitching. I am glad you can stitch now!

My husband is a full time Chaplain with NHRA drag racing. I loved your reminiscing of racing! Although drag racing is quite different than Indy or Daytona 500 type racing, it all thrills me!! Thanks again for all you both do. It is nice to sit and stitch and listed to y’all . Peace for the soul.💗

What an experience for you to be able to walk around the track. My husband use to race Cort Wagner a race driver for Ferrari, in the hills of Mulholland Drive in Beverly Hills back in his younger days.

Laura, we are big Indy 500 folks here- had it on both TVs all day. My daughter raced against Stingray Robb for years as a kid in go cart series out here in Idaho. Fun to see him lead for several laps

You two are the ones that come to mind for sharing this news. Last Monday, June 3, 2024, I had hip replacement surgery. We were in the waiting room for registration. As frequently happens with major surgery, we got into the what if discussion. I said I know none of you want my cross stitch pieces, but please don’t give them to goodwill. Almost in unison they said what are you talking about, we love your cross stitch and will fight over them. My youngest, who I thought would be the least likely to want it said there will be no fighting, I get it all! This revelation still brings tears to my eyes. I am recovering well and looking forward to stitching again.
First of all...glad you are recovering well!!!!! Hope you can stitch again ASAP! And what great news you had from your family!!!!!! Yay!!! That is the only case we endorse a family fight! Sending good wishes for a fast recovery!

When I was in high school in the late 90s, we had the 17 year cicadas in western Pennsylvania, and it was like a Biblical plague had taken over my small town. My mom is a bug-o-phobe at the best of times, and I distinctly remember her throwing a blanket over her head so she could run screaming to the car without having any land on her. And I mean *screaming*. It was hilarious.

They had a great sale celebrating their 1 year anniversary. I am so lucky to have them as my LNS. Laura it’s funny that you mentioned DMC 831, because I need that color. The chart only calls for 3 flosses and that is one of them. I should receive it next week in my123 order.

Loved seeing you on Saturday! Usually hubby has the control and he’s watching WW2 documentaries. How many times can someone watch the Normandy landing?? Guess he thinks the same about my Flosstube watching! Brenda I love that quilt behind you! Is it an antique? Happy Race Day tomorrow Laura. I have a nephew who works for a pick up truck race team. He does promotional gigs for them. I too grew up going to stock car races. It was a 1/4 mile track with a lot of action. Great times with my mom and dad. Dad would always pretend to be a race car driver when we would leave the track. Us kids always squealed in delight while mom yelled for him to slow down. Thanks for the memories!

Love your videos! Hope you enjoyed the Indy 500. My aunt, who’s now 97 yo, was one of the early female stock car drivers. She raced for decades, and in her later years would be asked to attend NASCAR hall of fame events to sign autographs.

I hope your shot works for you. I had the same, but 4 fingers! The shot wore off and had surgery. Still recovering but can cross stitch but have to take breaks once in awhile.
I hope that you get back to full health ASAP Julie!!!!! I hope that I just needed that one time shot and all remains the same. That was very worrisome as it was affecting my stitching. I am glad you can stitch now!
