  • [Main message starts at 10:30] Welcome to Church at Home. Find worship at • Worship Set 2: Awake M... . If you really loved something, you'd talk about it, right? Tim Mackie of the Bible Project makes a compelling case for a gospel that is exactly that - a return to the true, compelling story about life, heaven, earth & hell you would want to share. Special thanks to Blackhawk Church, Wisconsin USA, for graciously letting us share this message as part of our Return to the True Story series.

Dr. Tim Mackie is so smart, and so generous with his teachings. His sermons always make my heart so full.

Going after Tim Mackie en skielik hoor ek my eie taal in die dorp waar my oupa en my ma gewoon het en waar ek my graad gekry het, in die land waar ek grootgeword het. My hart trek met 'n punt.

Is there a name for this theology? Like this explanation of the “good news”. I just want to find a church that believes THIS is the gospel story, not the “you’re going to hell so repent” “good news”.

Good question, Elizabeth. This is probably more of an approach teaching a more wholistic view of what the scriptures show, rather than a specific theology. This is what we believe in and you are very welcome to join our live stream services online. First prize would be to help you connect to a church in your area though, so please do get in touch via info@onehopechurch.co.za if you're keen.

I’ve spent so much time in Tim’s teaching. I am not so sure about his understanding of hell. Wasn’t hell made due to Satan and a portion of the Angels rebellion? It was made by God for Satan & his crowd.
I do agree that God hates sin more than we do. We rename it. We coddle it thinking somehow we are doing good by going easy on sin.
I will, out of respect for Tim’s teaching, research his comments on hell.
