Prince was quoted as saying that every Zeppelin song had a different color. You can't see all the colors if you just listen to the 3 or 4 signature songs. Thanks for delving a little deeper.
Great review and comments.... Led Zeppelin were the whole package - they didn't release singles or were interested in the pop charts. Their music has been cherry picked by others like filmmakers so that's why only those songs are most widely known. Brilliant musicians at the forefront of their time.
@Soul_Train_Bro I’m sure by now you’ve learned that the bass you enjoyed on this song was played on the organ pedals, while the organ lines were being recorded (at the same time) on a Hammond B3 organ. John Paul Jones’ feet on bass are serious business. Love you reactions and thoughtful commentaries.
My favorite led zep song is whichever I heard last. The quality and musicianship in all there songs makes picking an absolute favorite impossible. Truly the best rock band of all time and up there with the best musical acts, period.
It’s nice to see others that are as passionate about amazing music as I am. Everything from Mozart to Floyd to Marvin Gaye, an open mind opens many doors.
Why Led Zeppelin is still being admired by even the younger generations, is simply because these are serious and extremely skillfull musicians. Each member would be a master in his own area, but the rare thing is that together they are even more then the sum. And then they create music, like no other band has before or after them, playing with all possible genres and fluently mix them into a really unique signature.
Greetings from England - Your analyses and reactions are superb man. You have captured the aura and magic of Zeppelin succinctly. Their music is enduring and magical and your heartfelt thoughts have helped me and others revisit these classics. Keep up the good work.
I watched this when you first posted it. I never mentioned how cool your friends are. Look at how one simple thought or request to listen to a song, and it changes your life!. It is about the simple pleasures in life.
When you say "this drummer is amazing" I can only agree; but then I think of the guitarist; and then I ponder the singer; then JPJ...they were four giants. Soul Bro, you show a lot of knowledge and wisdom through humility and temperance.
This is one oy favourite reactions, along with those for Achilles Last Stand and No Quarter. To see and feel someone become captivated by Zeppelin, as I once was, is just incredible. Top stuff.
I got mesmerized by this song since my teenage - now I'm 61. The build up of this song, likewise Stairway to Heaven, is amazing and could hardly be found in works of any other bands in the era even up to now in the way that it's built along with the lyrics (different from Genesis, for example) and here and there showing the very high musicianship of each instrumentalist (Plant's voice being one of the instrument).
When I was 17 they came to San Diego...I was a huge fan...June 1977...the best concert I ever saw though they and myself were pretty drugged out by then...a month later Plants son suddenly died from a stomach virus at 5 years old...they cancelled tour and went home never to tour US again...I remember being heart broken for him but so lucky to have seen them live...Great review!
Here’s some suggestions, some are deep in the catalogue and some not often heard on radio air play: No Quarter Kashmir Gallows Pole Lord of the Rings influence: The Battle of Evermore Ramble On Over The Hills And Far Away Misty Mountain Hop Going To California (my all time favorite song) The Rain Song The Lemon Song Your Time Is Gonna Come Tangerine Thank You (my best friend years ago, when we were young teen, played me this song when we reunited after I’d moved away to another town and school; we hugged and cried and this song will always hold significant meaning to me personally-one of my all time favorite songs)
New subscriber! Really enjoying your channel. Welcome to Led Zeppelin. The greatest rock band of all time. Your ears and emotions will never be the same. They never made a bad song. They never made a bad album. Every single one is outstanding 🥰 But man is this a great song to start with. Steeped in soul and deep blues. Gorgeous. Heart wrenching. Almost painful. Beautiful, lush and just bit dangerous, it draws you in just to blow you away with the sheer force of raw emotion transmuted into powerful, POWERFUL musicianship and vocalization. Perfectly in synch and intrinsically weaving in and out with vocals and lyrics playing off guitar and bass off of drums and drums off of vocals, the entire band works as one to achieve true musical perfection; no one could, before or since, lay it down like Zeppelin. Each person individually in the band is the best in his discipline. Put them all together and it creates sheer beauty of the highest musical form. If one can’t feel this, one doesn’t have a soul. Enjoy your Zeppelin journey, it will forever change your standard for ever other rock band you listen to for the rest of your life. ☮️, ❤️ and 🎶
I love revisiting your first time. I love when you hear his voice early you admire it, but then it goes high and about blows your hat off. Your head is spinning and getting to know how these guys play together, then you realize that this is only two years together to make this. Who is the better musician? All of them.
Great to see you back...Hope you get to watch and hear the live version of this song from Madison Square Garden its a must to really get the full song hope to see your reaction
Stb I have so many favorites from our generation s music. But I gotta say, zeppelin makes the top of my list,I think. We were privileged to have so much variety. And I love your use of thunderous as a description of this song.
This clued up musically savy reactor hit the nail on the head when he said. Never assume or have a fixed picture of a band. i did the same thing about Led Zep. i was always aware of them and knew they were a great band but i thought people were going overboard saying they were the best band ever but after seeing since ive been loving you live at msg and hearing You Shook Me. i absolutely get it
Bit late to the party here, man, as far as your Zeppelin reactions go. I've enjoyed some of your other reactions and your wonderfully articulate and intelligent critiques of various artists. Back to Led Zeppelin and "Since I've Been Loving You". It never fails to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I've been a LZ fan for a little under 40 years. I've not been listening to them for a good while and you've got me back into them in a big, big way. Your views on the musicianship of that song is among the best I've ever heard. I will enjoy getting into the rest of your LZ reactions.
Just fury and devastation. They juxtapose slow bluesy parts with sudden, dramatic rock passages so perfectly. Robert Plant's vocals are beyond description...
Hey Wayne , love rewatching this Reaction... The Day you fell under Led Zeppelin spell ... What a ride it's been since this Vid ... Glad to have been with every step of the way . Much respect .. your a now a Zeppelin Expert ...
I'm sure by now you have probably found out most of what I will touch on here for yourself. Actually, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were a little older than Bonham and Plant. Both Page and Jones had a studio career prior to getting involved with the band scene - that's how Page was involved with the Who, Kinks and so many other big named acts during the first half of the 60s. This is also where and when he learned all of the recording and production techniques prevalent on virtually every LZ album. Page was getting tired of the studio musician life and was already friends with Jeff Beck when a sudden opening for a bass player opened up in the Yardbirds and Page swooped right in. For awhile both Beck and Page were together on guitar duty and are even seen doing Train Kept'a Rollin in the original version of Blow Up (I think that's the movie name) - Beck smashes a guitar in this scene. Shortly after Beck left the band, then Page moved to the front. Then over some time, the Yardbirds began to fall apart and there are several version of how this actually happened, but Jimmy Page ended up holding onto the upcoming previously scheduled dates. Page already knew Jones from the studio days, so that is where Page started putting the band together. Further, at this time apparently Peter Grant had recently come on board to be the manager of the Yardbirds and this is where Page and Grant became close associates - this is every bit as important to the success of Led Zeppelin as any of the other members, btw. From here, Page was on the lookout for a singer and got word of Robert Plant. Page heard him, liked Plant and offered him a position. Plant and Bonham were already great friends, and were playing together at this point. Plant told Page all about Bonham, and of course Bonham was offered the role of drummer. Once this group was solidified, they became the "New Yardbirds" and later, after a suggestion from either Keith Moon or John Entwistle of the Who, they landed on Led Zeppelin. I'm sure you already know the rest of the story. I enjoy your approach and reviews - great work! Thanks!!! God Bless!
Good to have you back! A great analyses of the best blues/rock song and guitar solo ever! I'd enjoy your reaction to "Tea for One", which I consider a part two or even an equal to"S.I.B.L.Y." I'm 68 and have played guitar since 1964. I've seen them three times including 1969 at Newport R.I. You're doing a good thing by drawing attention to these very emotional and poignant masterpieces. All of us need and deserve to have the therapy and healing songs like this can bring. I believe what Jimi Hendrick believed, that the right songs and guitar solos can change the world for the better!
I’m so happy to hear and see that you’re back in the saddle with us! We missed you sir! You are one of my favorite reactors on YT. Your voice and mannerisms always put me in a good place! Stay safe, stay well and keep on keepin’ on!
My buddy's dad spent eleven years learning to play this song in this way. He didn't have the joints in his hand like Page, so that was part of it, but the bigger part was the passion. This was a grown man who had spent eleven years working on this and still admitted to not having mastered it, a song Page played as a weekend gig. It's so mind-blowing amazing, but then hearing about the background even for THAT is even more incredible.
This is about my 10th time watching this one. I listen to LZ on vinyl mostly but when I am on my tablet I just really love listening with you. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Led Zeppelin lives in my soul.
It’s funny to go back and watch this after following you the last few months and listening to bootlegs with you and only seeing the fan you became instantly. You have mentioned this reaction several times so I finally went back and watched it. Cool how you “got it” immediately. Hoping you find some more bootlegs to do because I have not heard most of those either despite being a lifelong fan
Led Zep - no bad songs. Check out No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, In The Light, Nobody's Fault But Mine. Shows the true talent of The Mighty Zep. OH you are the best reactor in the world 🌎. Peace Bro.Mike
I love your reactions because they're so calm. You have got to react to in my time of dying by Led Zeppelin. It's a song that never let you off the hook and I know you know what I mean.
This is the whole problem with radio .. Like this fella said he knew Stairway to heaven , Rock and Roll , Black Dog etc .. Thats all the radio ever plays when Zep has so many great songs .. Get your act together Radio and play some of their other awesome songs ..
Led zeppelin rock and roll they are untouchable best band ever thank God for led zeppelin they are untouchable best band masters of their instruments go and try to find better good luck
Dude, check the live '73 version! This was always meant to be live...they had a hard time containing this in the studio. I've had whole stacks of their bootlegs, and "Since I've Been Loving You" is always the measure of where they are, musically
This is incredible. I’m getting to watch you fall in love with LED Zeppelin for the second time. Was it good for you too? >sexy grin< LOL annie *it just makes us love you twice as much. Your reaction to this song was priceless....mind blown. Right? annie
This reaction is even more fun to watch a second time when I know the rabbit hole he's about to go down.
You've seen other reaction videos for this song. Me too. You nailed it brother! I hope a reply to your 2 year old comment makes it to you and that you want to watch and listen to it again. Re-live the memory today! You will not regret it. 😉👍

The four men of Led Zeppelin were destined to find each other and form a band. And what a band it was.
In my estimation…my favorite Zeppelin Song ever!!❤
The greatest band in the history of rock and roll they are the definition of rock and roll

Their music has been cherry picked by others like filmmakers so that's why only those songs are most widely known. Brilliant musicians at the forefront of their time.
“TEA FOR ONE”. Presence.
A complete masterpiece!! 👍🔥
Never knew that. Cool!
Q: "What did I just hear?" A: A MASTERPIECE.
A ripped off Masterpiece
@@knawl explain yourself
@@Alfie02It’s not an original song.
Everything is ripped off in everything including music. But taking it to a higher level is the hard part
My favorite led zep song is whichever I heard last. The quality and musicianship in all there songs makes picking an absolute favorite impossible. Truly the best rock band of all time and up there with the best musical acts, period.
Joe Smith 💯. Fav song is whatever one I’m listening too! Impossible choice. 🐐
This drummer is amazing 😂😂😂 yes sir, the best!
Excellent comments. You never can be familiar with Led Zeppelin because every song is a category in itself.
Check out their live version at MSG - 1973!!!
Hammer of the Gods, baby!
Always love coming back to this to watch them blow your mind for the first time.
The harmonic sophistication of these guys was something else, too. The voice leading of the chords in the chorus leading back to verse is so, so cool.
Sir, I love your objective, analytical and appreciative responses to these songs. Thank you, your analysis is much appreciated.
I appreciate that!
We've all heard (and love) SIBLY, that's evident. How about giving it up for STB and his outstanding reaction and analysis.
Greetings from England - Your analyses and reactions are superb man. You have captured the aura and magic of Zeppelin succinctly. Their music is enduring and magical and your heartfelt thoughts have helped me and others revisit these classics. Keep up the good work.
Cool, thanks!
Americans have the UK to thank for Led Zeppelin but the UK has American Blues to thank for Led Zeppelin's influence.
Revisiting this playlist in July 2021. I was there from the beginning and what a great journey.
I watched this when you first posted it. I never mentioned how cool your friends are. Look at how one simple thought or request to listen to a song, and it changes your life!. It is about the simple pleasures in life.
When giants walked among us!!
True. When Giants Walked the Earth, musicianship was just fkn incredible!
ZEPPELIN BRINGING IT AGAIN🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Master piece. Let's call it progressive blues.
Led Zep III has always been my favourite LP of the band, the cream of the cream, so to say, and this track the best of them all !
Glad to see your first reaction to Led Zepplin you have good friends.
The build up of this song, likewise Stairway to Heaven, is amazing and could hardly be found in works of any other bands in the era even up to now in the way that it's built along with the lyrics (different from Genesis, for example) and here and there showing the very high musicianship of each instrumentalist (Plant's voice being one of the instrument).
this and I can't quit u baby are my favorite leads ever..
Love your comments!!
I saw many reactions on this great piece of music some of them uniqe in thier way but you man are the best, a real pro. Thank you
When I was 17 they came to San Diego...I was a huge fan...June 1977...the best concert I ever saw though they and myself were pretty drugged out by then...a month later Plants son suddenly died from a stomach virus at 5 years old...they cancelled tour and went home never to tour US again...I remember being heart broken for him but so lucky to have seen them live...Great review!
it must be something special to make this cool laid back dude .look flustered
Here’s some suggestions, some are deep in the catalogue and some not often heard on radio air play:
No Quarter
Kashmir
Gallows Pole
Lord of the Rings influence:
The Battle of Evermore
Ramble On
Over The Hills And Far Away
Misty Mountain Hop
Going To California (my all time favorite song)
The Rain Song
The Lemon Song
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Tangerine
Thank You (my best friend years ago, when we were young teen, played me this song when we reunited after I’d moved away to another town and school; we hugged and cried and this song will always hold significant meaning to me personally-one of my all time favorite songs)
The best reaction I’ve heard to one of my favorite songs, ever. Thank you.
Glad you are back here!! Hope you are feeling well and being safe. It’s great to rediscover my favorite band with you!!
where it all began for stb!!!!
They could never be considered as shallow, dug down deep within themselves, congrats on finding it out for yourself
An amazing song that is, somewhat unbelievably, several orders of magnitude better live! :)
the "it's better live" dude has entered
@@8unk8 - Are you the "It's not better live" dude? :)
I say this after all of your reactions they are great
You keep me very interested in your break down
You knowledge in music is second to none
"This drummer's amazing." Yup.
One of the greatest songs of all time! Squeaky Kick Pedal anyone? Great Reaction!
Great to see you back on UA-cam man, love your considered and thoughtful reactions
Stb I have so many favorites from our generation s music. But I gotta say, zeppelin makes the top of my list,I think. We were privileged to have so much variety. And I love your use of thunderous as a description of this song.
This clued up musically savy reactor hit the nail on the head when he said. Never assume or have a fixed picture of a band. i did the same thing about Led Zep. i was always aware of them and knew they were a great band but i thought people were going overboard saying they were the best band ever but after seeing since ive been loving you live at msg and hearing You Shook Me. i absolutely get it
"Open up my front door, hear my back door slam" -- CLASSIC blues motif
Zep III is my fav Zep album! Saw them do this in Jan "75." 16 yrs old and thought "Well, I can die now." Ha! Love your commentary, SB. Thanks!
They each are the best at their craft, & created the greatest band & music ever, every song is amazing.
You just heard a real masterpiece my friend. My favorite song of all time.
Close to being mine too, it’s hard to pick one, but this is up there!
Best band ever in my opinion. And my opinion is the only one that matters
Hey Wayne , love rewatching this Reaction... The Day you fell under Led Zeppelin spell ...
What a ride it's been since this Vid ... Glad to have been with every step of the way .
Much respect .. your a now a Zeppelin Expert ...
Thanks Scott : )
I think it was the best guitar solo at the time, because up to that time I had never heard a guitar solo like that.
Welcome back-you were missed!
Thanks!!!
God Bless!
This is me watching this reaction from the original reaction, nostalgic for last year. But I always learn from your reactions. Even the second time.
I was visiting you on vimeo last night, wishing you were here. I am tickled pink to find you here again!....................Bobbi
Good to have you back!
A great analyses of the best blues/rock song and guitar solo ever!
I'd enjoy your reaction to "Tea for One", which I consider a part two or even an equal to"S.I.B.L.Y."
I'm 68 and have played guitar since 1964.

John Paul Johnes plays the Organ and in a live setting he plays the bassline with the organ pedals.
Did not know that part....wow!
A real team effort on this song.....awesome.
This is about my 10th time watching this one. I listen to LZ on vinyl mostly but when I am on my tablet I just really love listening with you. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Led Zeppelin lives in my soul.
Jees, i'm so glad that you get : GET! Led Zep. Kiss you right now.
Glad to see you back man. Best reactions bar none.
wecome to my world sir your going to love them.
So much talent they had!!
❤❤❤❤❤
listen to it live from the movie THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME , it will blow your mind
I'm getting my 15 year old nephew into Led Zeppelin. I sent him the first three albums already. I plan on buying their whole catalog for him.
As ever, your reaction here is spot on and you are always a good listen!
I appreciate that!
Another excellent reaction to another one of their great songs. So glad you are back on UA-cam. These videos are not on Patreon anymore.
Dude, check the live '73 version! This was always meant to be live...they had a hard time containing this in the studio. I've had whole stacks of their bootlegs, and "Since I've Been Loving You" is always the measure of where they are, musically
Your backdrop is the best on cellphone !
They had all paid their dues Bro. Plant and Bonham playing blues in working mens clubs. Page and J P Jones as top session musicians on a hundred hits.
Classic Zeppelin. Lead singer also known as the Golden Lion with his blonde hair and his Roar. Oh, he is a Leo!
This is incredible. I’m getting to watch you fall in love with LED Zeppelin for the second time. Was it good for you too? >sexy grin< LOL
annie
*it just makes us love you twice as much. Your reaction to this song was priceless....mind blown. Right?

I love that you can hear the bass pedal squeak at the start
Ludwig Speed King. I can attest to that, WD 40 on a regular basis until I went DW.
Best band ever, ever!
