Nice work 👍 Wasn't sure about it at first, and not exactly my preference, but I think it turned out good. I think your innate attention to detail definitely was an asset. Great introduction to a different style.
I didn't think the cement would look better than the brick, but I was wrong. That looks great. I hope we get to see it w the TV and plants on it. After high school, I worked about a year on an assembly line at Vega Heatalator. We made fireplace inserts. Not very nice memories, could have done wout that! Not your fault, guess I should be happy my memory still works good. I like the changes to the front entrance too, much nicer, more open, much bigger look. At 60, watching you ride the ebike makes me jealous. At 61, I was almost home riding my Honda VT1100 Classic. Just 40 yards from the treeline where twice I had a deer jump out in front of me, there's this numbnut at a stop sign, looking straight me, pulls out anyway just feet from me!!! I thanked God the rest of the way home that there was no opposing traffic, because I was almost off the pavement on the other side of the road to avoid that stupid man. I quit riding as much after that, and a year later, I quit completely. Riding at night was OK, but during daylight idiots texting and reading texts, couldn't see a bike at all. Just too dangerous w my weakening body and that 550 lb bike. Very few and far between places to ride a bicycle, plain or electric around here. It's great that Emily is so close to you, I absolutely love that!! Thanks for sharing.👍❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
Good morning Tom, Get yourself a pushstick--please!! That fireplace looks pretty good. Just remember that wives, daughters and Dr's. are ALWAYS correct and you'll be golden. Fun video. Tom Cruise has nothing to worry about. Now let's see you in an F14 next 😂😂😂
I wonder how that would look with some of the dyes you use on patios? I was thinking the grey dyes that make them look darker with hints of black to the randomness of it; then sealed, of course. ; )
Great job all around and it's nice to see Emily being firm with what she wants and to all of those that like brick well that is going away with every homeowner these days that want something different instead of that awful brick red and the rough texture. I'm sure as time goes on things will change for some of the things done now but so far everything looks super. Tom you scare me with not using a push stick when cutting. people learn the hard way when they get in a hurry. One misjudgement and you end up missing parts. Be safe so you can continue helping Emily and her husband . Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in your family and to your work family also. Be safe and don't under eat on these holidays....lol
Helping a daughter work on her house is something I also enjoy. Unfortunately for me I have to travel 950 miles to get there. No e-bike for me. I'm heading her way again this week.
Just my opinion, but the brick was nicer. As the central focal point of the room it seemed a little cold and uninviting. I’m curious, would some of your stamps have left enough impression to make a field stone look
Tom, please don’t put your left hand on the stock you’re cutting once it passes the saw blade. I have the scar of 42 stitches and a shorter left index finger from doing as you did.
I love the versatility of concrete, but everything in its place. The new fireplace looks a bit like a bunker to me, strong, cold and imposing. The brick could have been washed in a color to give character. Anyway, just my opinion. Everyone has different taste.
The entry looks so much more inviting! And Emily was right, that fireplace looks amazing!
Thank you very much
Love the transform. I laughed when Emily chuckled on camera.
Looking great and coming right along, Emily knows what she wants, and it really looks really good when completed.
❤💯🙏
WOW!!…That fireplace looks absolutely awesome!…Well done Tom!!
A man of many talents. I’ll be looking for your 2nd UA-cam channel “Fireplaces with the Hauses” and your third channel “Drywall with the Hauses” 😆
Tom; one word for you, push stick! @ 3:20. make them from scrap
You should have got Steve to do the drywalling........ it's his favourite DIY task 😂
Great job, Tom. After the tv is mounted on the fireplace have the family portrait downloaded on it.
everything is coming out nice.love the fireplace
Thank you so much
Fantastic on the fireplace 👍👍👍 Wow that changes the whole vibe of that room. Excellent work!!!!!

Thats going ro be a very nice house 👍💯💗

I agree that could look sharp
Very nice job on the fire place!
I love that fireplace well done

I like it as well
GOOOOOOD
MAAAAAAAAWNIN EVERYONE!!!
Nice work Tom!! Is there anything you can’t/won’t do?
Have a day !😊
Good morning from Pleasant Hills, PA. Nice job on the fireplace and entry way. 🇺🇸
Brick looks better, you just needed to update the mantle.
What cement mix did you use on the Fireplace, Tom?
Wow
Fireplace came out really nice ,Tom you just can't stay away from anything that has cement, sand and a trowel involved in it.
Helping a daughter work on her house is something I also enjoy. Unfortunately for me I have to travel 950 miles to get there. No e-bike for me. I'm heading her way again this week.
Mr Haus you should've gave them a framed poster of yourself
Safety is definitely not a priority! Come on man!🇺🇸
Tom, that is a lot easier if you use a trowel and a hawk.
Where's your PUSH stick
hi emily
I liked it better how it was.
I'm 1st. I get the prize for the day---yee hah
You would be better using a hawk trowel to be honest Tom 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Looked much better with brick. To each their own
@@billwang4086 Emily is going for the Tuscan look perhaps. The old brick just didn't look good. She made the right CALL, IMO
Have that brick in my house and it just didn't wear well. Sorry, to me that brick just looks cheap.
@ grey concrete looks luxurious and expensive ok
Tom, please don’t put your left hand on the stock you’re cutting once it passes the saw blade. I have the scar of 42 stitches and a shorter left index finger from doing as you did.

Brick was better
That fireplace looks instant downgrade.
