I like your videos better with your Philippine Girl Friend in them just being honest!
Yep :) me too but still going to record my travels in Hawaii
@@WanderLusting right well that's fair enough, oh and thanks for your service!
Beautiful views! Thanks!
You are welcome and thank you for the comment
All of this is illegal..State has been telling this "individual" to stop and remove all operations..you take the risk of overturned vehicles with no liability insurance..the area is in such geological damage and yet it still happens..yes it is beautiful but still illegal to travel on the major damaged areas...he brings in thousands a day//yet does nothing to clean up or heal the land..and he calls himself Hawaiian native..DISGRACE and Shame.
I kept waiting to see the beefy German woman. Disappointed.
Haha.. Yes I should have had the camera out
Great videos but I miss seeing J and M. @tinyislandgirl
Yes..I am 70 and crazy and too old to get too serious about much of anything.............however, I do have my thoughts about travel and life in general..........all actions are an attempt to know ourselves better...............travel gives a big picture of how small and insignificant we are.... unless traveling makes one think they are important which is seldom the case.......................most destinations take us to places where nature is on display and again we are confronted with the vastness of the earth and heavens..................one can also know oneself by being alone whether at home or in a quiet peaceful place away from the noise and distractions of the World..just meditating on the miracle of life and each breath that we take.............we never stop trying to learn who we really are, but hopefully in the process we learn to be kind not only to others but to ourselves as well............................
Locals will warn you about the Green Beach scammers... They did this to my daughter and her friend, violent and screaming at them. It ruined the day, but my daughter went anyway, being a professional 4wheeler from Arizona, knowing how to wheel and be kind to the environment......Beware...
This is from an article: Scammers at Green Beach
Those jerks! One obstacle when getting to South Point is dealing with locals trying to make a buck off your visit. Officials know about and sometimes regulate this Green Beach scam. They’re stationed at the parking lot before the hike/drive.
Here’s how they “charge” you for your visit:
If you’re driving, they want $20 for “maintaining the roads”. (news flash: there are no roads…)
first
Please don't take the green glass sand. I went over thetop of the ridge and down the steep side into the forest in my jeep over 38 years ago..
How’s the road condition from the city up to the parking lot of the green sand beach? We only drive midsize suv. Is it safe for this car? Coz we just plan to park the car then ride with the locals to the beach. Is this possible?
Those shuttles are illegal, and harmful to the fragile environment
i dont see why one wouldnt walk your in Hawaii
Thank you for all your hard work. Love Hawaii, miss Philippines , want to make it home next year. Hiking seems 2nd nature to you ,me to.do you have a schedule for going back lf so please tell. Missing you and j together. You know your like my own children. Anywho , thank you again for getting blogs out timely
Love you and j
Old head Ed
Probably around September maybe August depending on how things go
Thank you so much for the great comments We definitely appreciate it 🏝️
I’ve been here too 😂. You should visit also the punaluu Black sand beach
Haha.. I think you traveled more than I have 😋
WanderLusting 😂 hmmp I guess so😂. You Must see the Akaka falls and Mauna Kea mountain you will be amaze. Make sure you have 4wheel drive if you want to go in Mauna Kea. It’s like your in the other planet if you go there.😂 ua-cam.com/video/H4J8_faITVg/v-deo.html
2nd!!😀😀😀!!!...amazing view
1 is a lonely #
😋
Love the video! What was the name of the very last place you had breakfast along the water?
Thanks for the recommendation and guidance.🙏. For sure worth the hike, only about 55 minutes each way. Easy to climb down to the beach unless you have some physical impairments but overall a pretty doable climb. We are in 60s and 50s and did not have a problem with the walk/hike and the climb to and from the beach. Note that any pathways will take you to the beach. It is easy to question yourself as there are different paths and people walking on all of them. Eventually everything merges. The sand was amazing and the cliffs also espectacular. Swimming was a delight and refreshing. Thanks again!!
The part at about 5 minutes where you speak of a 55 minute hike. I’m guessing if J was there it would be about 30 😁
Yes she is fast but she gets distracted.. So 30 minutes or an hour and 20 minutes all depending on how focused or distracted she gets 😋 our Baguio video we spent 30 minutes taking pictures with a kitty cat.
I went to the same coffee shop
Great video and beautiful scenery. Looks like your sisters husband could be a Pink Floyd fan with his Hawaiian version of a Dark Side of the Moon t-shirt. Could be inspired by that topography too.
You could spend years and not find all the cool spots on this big, Big Island!...some good footage of Green Sands Beach, btw!
Is that a Federal or State park? The lava walls seem like cattle barriers. The seaside is amazing in its beauty. Happy Trails
Nice, cool video, Ive only seen that area from the ocean looking in, The cat looks like my cat, almost identical, Thanks..
The cat is very cool J keeps telling me she wants me to take it 😮
My wife and I did this 40 years ago. I hate that people can drive ATVs to these places. And ladders? 😄
Are you holding your camera?
Yes I am holding it..
hard to beat u & J's volcanic hike up in Baguio & El Nido, more scary, may tindahan pa.
I agree definitely very fun We enjoyed them 😊
Interesting to see the volcanic rock formations. i was in Hawaii late 80's and remember taking the bus around, and some beach with snorkelling
Very informative nice videography! So thIs beach has no restroom or changing or lifeguard for anyone wondering. So is there a sign or land mark from the highway? I heard there was a restaurant and bakery there s well. We may take a little drive down from Mountain View and make it a day when we get back.🌈😃🤙
Yes there might be some restroom in the parking area but we did not see any facilities set up. You may want to check the map for the restaurant. We stopped about 30 minutes before the park I believe.
Wow talk about a fun hike
Nice video I didn’t now Hawaii had land scape like that it was like almost desert reminds me of some of the areas California bet j would have loved that hike 👍
Yes the hike was great I really enjoyed it and the swim at the end was even better. 😎🏝️
When I go back to Cebu I was thinking of renting a care for a few days do you no if I need some kind of special license or is my wisconsin license good enough?
I have rented a few times and they will take your US license.. You can always contact them ahead of time just to make sure I've never rented in Cebu
Cool place. Seems like a lot of people for the amount of walking to get there. Of course I'd do the same. 😁
Yes we were surprised how many vehicles were there when we arrived There was almost no one on the road.

Wonder who is that woman you are traveling with?
Ok I just saw that it was your sister is that where she lives
Yes they live in Kona 🏝️
Beautiful place i've been there in Kona Resort.
Its for lady people, I do it by walk and its very nice
Thanks for the videos. I was in Oahu back in the late 1970s. It was expensive then, too!
I would like to have seen what Hawaii look like back in the '70s compared to now I've always took the opportunity to look at the old pictures the hotels and restaurants put up on the wall.
Hey Todd did you get some green sand for J for a souvenir
😋 I think my bags were still full of stuff from the Philippines
@@WanderLusting Don't break a tiny Island Girl's heart bring her a souvenir it will pay off you will see ha ha ha
very beautiful
Beautiful scenery. That sand was cool.
Thanks for showing me...
Awesome Papakolea Beach !
That Almira is drawing close to 3k subscribers after only one month for less than a dozen uploads? World is not fair
I'm glad she's doing well. She does work hard and her video skills will get better as she does it.
WanderLusting Thousands out there in UA-cam land work hard too.
But you and I know hard work is not the cause
@guy Yes it definitely helps to be a attractive female. No doubt.
another great video Todd keep them coming I love the view
Thanks 😎🏝️
I see no washrooms....danger! Danger!
Haha.. true there is nothing out there so prepare ahead of time 😉
WanderLusting only places with a clean and safe facilities get a 👍 LOL
Nice vlog. love the Greaen beach. I'm from Texas and any time you go for a hike you have to watch for snakes. Is this not a concerned about snakes over there?
I didn't see any snakes I don't think there are many if there are any at all
Snakes are illegal in Hawaii. 99 percent no snakes. may mga pasaway lang na nagdadala or umaangkas sa eroplano or karga or cargo belongings etc.
Hawaii has no snakes
Mongoose lots of Mongoose
Haole
Nice video, I'll be there in December and visit Oahu too. Scenes similar to Canary Islands near Africa. Greetings from Poland
I was thinking of hiking it but now I'm scared lol
Haha.. it's not that bad. As long as you have the time we actually enjoyed the hike quite a bit
Love those beefy gramma types🌈😃🤙
