Very informative and great video. I have just purchased chanel Classic medium GHW in Cavier leather its preloved from Vestiaire Collective website. I bought it medium because I will used it only for special occasions and dinners or lunch with friends. But I think jumbo is more like for daily basis or dressy as well but yea now I am enjoying my classic medium a lot. Thanks xx

Since I have a jumbo in patent leather, it's so heavy when I put all my belongings...but I still love my bag since the bag is the first chanel bag I use my own money to buy...it's so meaningful to me.
Handbag lover Baby oh patent! I didn't mention it because when I was at the store , they said classic is only beige / black and lambskin / caviar. Not sure if they had other materials and colours...but I'm really old school. I wouldn't be able to rock patent!
Fantastic review! I'm kind of surprised that the sound didn't go away, that was a question I had but no one seemed to answer. I'm also happy you touched upon the weight, that's something I'm afraid of. It's such an investment that I don't want to make the wrong decision. In about a month I'll be at the boutique making a decision, hopefully I can make a decision before walking into the store.

Thank you, a very good, honest and informative reviews. You covered absolutely everything from first owning to practically using the bag. I think all of the bags are beautiful, but all have pros and cons. I am petite so the medium size looks perfect, and looks gorgeous on, however after only using the bags for the first fees days I realised that you can not fit too much in, only essentials. The jumbo is still beautiful but more practical, but then you have the bulkiness and the weight.
Try the reissue 226. It's inbetween medium and jumbo, not heavy either

Great video and love the fact that you acknowledge you do not Baby the bag!!! Yessss. I just bought one and it’s still in the box ... had one day and waiting to start using it because it’s for my bday and that’s soon .... but I think since your bag has been used it’s like wayyyyy better than brand new. The sheen on the bag in the video looks supple!!! Makes me think pre loved is the way to go but I wanted my first flap to be new ... mate if another one I’ll get a pre loved. I too wanted a classic bigger bag than the WOC!!!! I love caviar leather as its durable!!!!! I wanna love it and use it like you!!!!!

Hi Kat! Have you considered the older jumbo model single flap? Many of the UA-camrs prefer that version, saying it's much lighter

Great video! I'm in need of something to hold more than the m/l and the weight of the jumbo is definitely keeping me away. It's a struggle though because the jumbo is such a classic!! Your makeup is bomb in this video! 💣💣
Lilacgan thank you dear . I need to use eyeliner more. Hahaha. I am just soooo lazy sometimes . Weight is something that you don't feel until you really use the bag. That's how I felt. Being resentful or disappointed is pointless coz I already spent the money. I just have to go to the gym, do more weight training for my shoulder and upper body 😹
Lilacgan hey I have a bad back/shoulder problem and I was really concerned about this with the jumbo but I decided to go for it anyways because the m/l is way too small for my lifestyle and after using it for a couple of hours, it is a little heavy but not to the point that its painful to use. So basically its not as heavy as it sounds compared to other types of leather bags which are more heavy 😁

Wise decision... I just bought the jumbo, a few days ago, in gold hardware and haven't used it yet. Good thing I am not the type of person who carries a lot of stuff. I pick a wallet, lipstick and powder, wipes and cellphone. Awesome video!

oh I can imagine the weight! I had an older version with the single flap and that feels heavy on my delicate shoulder n bcos it's so expensive I kept gg back n forth on selling it bcos it's still a really stunning cool bag. same with u after this jumbo I bot a medium sized haha n strikes off any bag with chain or weight. when u r feeling pain all u feel is hate hahaha

I let go of the lambskin because the diamond design deflates.
its very delicate. I cant fill it up.
Also the XL or the largest size is so big. NOt easy to carry around.
The large is the best size to start with.
But for travelling around, bring the next smaller one.
Reality is they are both heavy . The chains put so much weight.
Its only nice to carry it around when you wont walk around for long.

sehrish sultan hi dear, it really depends what are you going to use it for? Do u carry a lot of things? If yes, then maybe jumbo. If u are already using the medium and find that more than enough for your daily use, then stick with the medium. Like I said, jumbo is heavy and if u are not comfortable with heavy bags, u might end up not using it after you buy it. As for Colour, are you always running around during errands that u might run the risk of dirtying the bag (eg, putting it on the floor, car floor, knocking the bag around)? If so, stick with dark colours because u dowan to risk staining such an expensive bag.

Hi Kat, I have the same bag in gold hardware. It's my first chanel bag and going into its third year. I share the same sentiment as you. Do you think the weight (heavy) is due to the full leather lining and being double flap? My other single flap fabric lined bags weigh much less. Thanks for the video :)
evonne dale hi dear, yes definitely. since they stopped producing the classic single flap in full leather lining, the double flap is the only original "classic" . I asked abt single flap n cloth lining, and even those it is also called "Chanel classic" - it is normally seasonally. These follow the classic design, but the true classic, are our double flap, full leather tanks. Hahaha. That's what the SA told me anyway, so hopefully she wasn't pulling my leg

Hi Kat, if u were to restart your chanel bags collection again, would u purchase jumbo again or the medium large size?
Hi dear, right now - i would say, the jumbo. When i travel, i tend to bring more things - passport, 2 wallets, etc etc....the medium large is not big enough. The additional space from the jumbo really helps.
Strangely the jumbo is actually heavier than the Maxi! I have no idea how that is even possible but even the SA acknowledged this recently!

I sold my jumbo caviar because of the weight and also not a very practical bag overall due to cost per wear. It's a very gorgeous and classy bag though.

hmmm....if you like bigger bags and need to carry more stuff, i'd say the jumbo. But if you don't carry much, then the medium is a perfect size.

You have got me second guessing my decision...I don't use my jumbo a lot so I do wonder if it's truly worth it .....(grim)
Ruva-a but when u use it, do you feel like a million dollars? Lol. I know I do ! Though my shoulders scream after many hours, my jumbo still holds a special place in my heart - 1st Chanel purchase after years of dreaming. I went through 2nd, 3rd , nth guessing my decision when I wasn't using it much (like I said in my video) , but I am at 'peace' (at the moment) with my problems with it (i.e. Weight and uncomfortable chains)...love conquers all , right? Haha
TBH I feel more than a million dollars whenever I think about the fact that I even own it! In some ways I feel uncomfortable wearing it because I am not a "wow" kind of woman...just very ordinary but this is the kind of bag that I would be bonkers to sell...it was a dream for many years and I count myself as very fortunate! You have really cheered me up xx
Same here, very ordinary -but I sold it and it was a huge mistake because I had to repurchase at almost double the price that I got the first one. The silver hardware seems to have slightly less of a "wow" factor. Hopefully you have decided to wear it more often:)

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one LYXBAG Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym
