Before I talk about my preferences in jumbo bags, I have heard some sarcastic and mean comments from some viewers. This is a luxury handbag/lifestyle channel, so if you don't like this kind of topic, please don't watch and leave mean comments. Non-constructive or mean comments will be deleted.

Below are the dimensions of the bags based on my measurements.
I think I should only keep one since they look so similar.
❤️Jumbo Single Flap:
1 lb 12.8 oz or 816 gm
12" length x 3 3/8" depth x 7" height
Strap drop double chain: 13.5"
Strap drop single chain: 25"
Interior depth measurement: 7 cm
❤️Jumbo Double Flap
2 lb 9.4 oz or 1175 gm
12" Length x 3 5/8" Depth x 6.5" Height (or 7.5" to the top of the flap)
Strap drop double chain: 12.5"
Strap drop single chain: 22 5/8"
Interior depth measurement: 7.3cm
The Chanel double flap is 12.6 oz or 359 gm heavier than the single flap. They carry similar amounts of things --- but single flap may carry slightly more since it's more flexible and is able to stretch out more and has more room at the top of the bag. Single flap, with a lot of use, may lose its shape (top can become more pointed and less rounded) and become more squishy whereas the double flap is much more boxy and structured.

literally just bought a single flap in the silver hardware so now have the exact same two bags as you!! Think my friends/family will think I'm crazy for having two bags that are so similar!

Do you have both? Same color like me or different color? I'm thinking of selling the black single flap and getting a red single flap --- that way, my husband can't say anything of me having "same" black bags, hahaha!

Great video. I don't know which is better either. LOL I had to make a decision on which one I want to buy and I ended up with the single flap. I had the Leather Surgeons restructure my single flap and I absolutely love it.
Leather surgeons definitely do great job most of the time. But I had to resend my GST because they didn’t do a good job ~ and they fixed the problem. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Great comparison! I bought the single flap brand new before I didn’t know that much about Chanel. Then I bought the medium in the double flap. I find double flap beautiful but never use it. The inside flap annoys me. Love my single flap and it looks brand new!❤️
Thank you! Single flap is easy to use and definitely lighter. My husband says I have the "exact same" black bags and I should diversify! So, I may sell my black single flap and get it in a different color single flap. It was also cheaper for me to purchase the single flap (since it is very used) than my double flap, so, I find the single flap "easier" "more carefree" to use. I may have to get a red single flap in a good condition...... xx

Excellent video! Some bags are meant to be worn the hell out of while others are meant to be mostly loved, double flap falls in the later for me. I don't wear mine as frequently but it takes up a different place in my heart than my seasonal chanel bags that are more practical and equally loved but for different reasons. In many ways my bags are like my babies.

Thank you so much! I sold the double flap black jumbo and now have a red single flap. That said, I miss the black jumbo I sold. I sold it because I felt like I had too many black bags and I wasn’t wearing it and also everyone in my family said it looked too big on me. I haven’t worn the red jumbo in almost a year either. With all the things going on in the last year, I just didnt feel like wearing such an expensive and very noticeable bag. Thanks for watching and commenting’. such a helpful video. the squishy-ness of the single flap is somewhat of a deal breaker for me because i think that the structure of the double flap will likely resale at a higher value, if i ever choose to sell it. my next Chanel will therefore be the jumbo double flap. thanks for this great insight.

I just bought the single flap preloved and it’s on the way to me but I’m still having second thoughts because I like the double flap so much too! I like the double due to the structure and the way the grommets are placed, and the boxier look. But I got the single flap because of the 24k gold and the thicker cc’s. Ahhh! Still so torn…any thoughts?

I have not seen any single flap replicas when I went to Turkey, China and Caribbean where there are a lot of fake bag shops.

If you can afford it I think you should keep both as they are different enough to warrant it. The single flap is a great carefree daily bag which you got pre-loved so it's worry free. In silver it has the more casual look, Your double flap is the more attractive and dressier special occasion bag.

Thanks so much! The single flap is definitely older and much more used. The double flap is almost brand new since I baby it. I know that a lot of people were into silver hardware for a long time, but I think people are liking gold as much now. I always thought that the Chanel bags look stunning in gold :-). I did a video on it and my single flap insert was from Senamon at Etsy. I love using it since it has a long slot for my big iphone and it protects my interior. I also think it may help with the structure of my single flap to have an organizer. xx

I prefer the single flap because the double flap is too heavy for me to carry comfortably. However, you said you aren't bothered by the weight of the double flap and that you cherish your bag. It seems like the double flap is the better choice to keep, especially with the prices continuing to go up. You enjoy using each bag though, so if you can afford to keep both of them, why not do that?
Thanks for your comment! I agree that the single flap is more comfortable to carry especially in mine since it's much more flexible and squishy. I totally enjoy both bags and was going to keep both when I bought it. However, I recently purchased a Chanel Reissue 227 and I feel like they're about the same size. Basically, my love for handbags is going out of control - hahaha! "Hi, my name is Maggie, and I have an addiction." LOL! That is one of the biggest reasons I feel like I need to sell one. I've been really good trying to keep the number of my bags reasonable.... but it's a struggle.... Thanks for watching!
Wondeful video! If it were me I would keep the double. For such an expensive bag, it would be upsetting for it to lose structure. The weight doesnt bother you and the pockets work better for you.
As for me. Still daydreaming 😂 i love the double flap for its structure but I'm concerned about weight. The chains seem like they dig in a bit.
Anna Robinson I still have the double and sold the black single got a red single flap. However, my husband doesn’t like the black jumbo as much as the other ones. He likes my red jumbo but he thinks the black one looks too bulky and big on me. I think, with the new bag organizer I got for my single flap, I prefer the single flap red jumbo. It is definitely lighter and the weight does bother me when I carry a lot of things (which I tend to do when I have more room in the bags). Hiwever, it’s not a deal breaker for me. That said, I think some people don’t mind the weight at all and love the boxier structure of the double flap jumbo. I just bought a new black bag, so I think I may let one of my other black Chanel go - probably jumbo since I have the red jumbo. Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤️❤️

I would 100% keep the double flap! I feel it would hold its value so much more than the single flap. Also, you purchased it brand new and it looks brand new right now. And I know you got a great price after the discount and cash back. The single flap is already showing wear and tear and it will only get worse. Since you got such a great deal on it I feel you would be able to sell it without losing much. Good luck deciding!

I having been wondering if I should get a red single flap jumbo since all my bags are black...... I think I'll loose money if I sell the double flap even though I got it originally at a good price. The single flap is used and has some loose stitching and the turn lock sometime creaks --- still very useable, but definitely pre-loved :-). Thanks for watching!!!

Glen Daly My Gucci marmont red small is definitely bigger thank my Chanel M/l, but Chanel jumbo is biggest. I think Gucci small flap size looks better than jumbo crossbody. I like the extra pocket in the back and bigger capacity of the jumbo. I have my Gucci small listed for sale now. I had it for sale before and pulled it off the market because I just couldn’t let it go. But now I’m ready to let my Gucci small go. :-). Thanks for your input! 😊😊

My Favorites With Maggie in fractions, the bigger the number (in sequential order), the smaller it is.

They are different. Double vs single. Color of hardware. If you can keep both and then you don’t need anything else
ComfyNLux hahaha, this video was made a while ago. I sold both bags and now have a red single flap jumbo! I find that I don’t use the jumbo in single or double flap very much. I think it’s a little too structured for me..... that said, I rarely use the medium either. 😉
