Jessica Michalik Tribute (with Hold On bassline)
Sydney, Australia
ANZ Stadium
Soundwave Festival
2012-02-26
It's been 20 years since the tragic events at Big Day Out Sydney, where 16 year old show attendee Jessica Michalik got injured severely, resulting in her death five days later. What happened there should have never happened and gotten that far in the first place and, thankfully for all future crowds, raised awareness about security measures at concerts. Here's Fred's speech about that day when the band came back to the city in 2012 in presence of Jessica's father George. Mixed together by us thanks to three video sources by ss666, Bob and Anon - audio taken from xMars4Life's UA-cam video and edited by us since it was much clearer than any of the 3 video sources.
R.I.P. Jessica. Limp Bizkit and their fanbase will never forget you!
RIP Jessica, gone but never forgotten. We still think about you.
I was there at Sydney Soundwave 2012. During this tribute, I don’t think there was a single dry eye in the stadium.
Rest in Peace Jessica Michalik.
Rest in Peace Scott Weiland.
Gone but not forgotten r.i.p.
Rest In Peace.
We Love you jessica. LB is Rockin for Ya und You see that from the Sky. 💕🌌

Rip Jessica 🙏
Say what you wanna say. They did the right thing there.
fred is a good guy :( people always blame him for things that were out of his control
So mouthing off to the security who were trying to save a young girls life wasn’t out of his control? GTFO
I had friends there that night. Security were begging Fred to stop the song, he looked at them and hyped up the crowd more. I respect what Fred did here, but that night was pure chaos.
Yeah too late to apologize... he had full control of that crowd but choose to ramp it up more and blame security than calm it down. RIP Jess

Kind of camera you have?

Hard to believe a word Fred says. There’s video of the performance and the security guards were begging him to stop playing. He completely ignored them and was calling them names while they were risking their own lives pulling people out of the crowd. If he knew it was so unsafe he could have not played at all or at the very least could have stopped when they asked him. He’s never taken responsibility for any of it.
He literally says in the video why he kept playing
If limp bizkit walked off stage that night I guarantee you there would be more than one dead person as a result. I was in the crowd that night and people were lit up of their faces. If limp bizkit walked off stage it would have been an absolute massacre
@@lukeshearer9063 crowds are idiots
