I love this new "how much" set of videos your doing. I never know how much to charge for all the new fun things I'm doing. Thank you for at least giving me a guideline. Young nails ROCKS
Wow, my guess was $110 based on what I've seen so far and how Tracy prices her work. 90 for set, 10 for glitter and 10 for the stones. Loving this series, can't wait for the next one.
I did a work like that, like 3 weeks ago and I wasn't sure how much to charge and I did remove a full set and did a lots of bling I ended up charging $75 🙄🤨🙄🤨🙄🤨 after so many years still scare of charging the right amount for that 😟😖
You have to know your demographic! I have a Russian friend who is a nail tech and she said she would charge 200 for this set easy in Florida! Here in Louisiana I could charge about $65.00! $70 If I'm feeling myself! 😆
Girl charge your worth. You got bills to pay, supplier to buy, and time is money. Having nails is a luxury. Fast food is a luxury. The utilities bill charge what they can and want. Business is business.
Yea but you guys are in LA right? Would it still be $107 in Miami? My husband told me that LA prices are higher than Miami prices so why would I charge for that same set in Miami?
Im a little confused.... So please correct me if im wrong 👍 so i know her fullset price is $90 but she didnt do a full set. Her previous set was already a nude except for the one glitter nail. Yeah she removed everything, but she only did that to only one nail. So she would charge just her fill price ($60) instead of fullset price ($90) right?
Im lovin these how much videos and im always in doubt with my pricing coz its something you dont get taught and ive had to like work it out myself and research around my area and its been a sruggle for me and im based in the uk, so doing a bit conversion has been fun and interestin, so like thank you guys xx
Definitely think about charging a flat fee for applying stones. Somewhere between 5-10.00 at least. Depending on how many stones and the time it will take you to apply them.
She charged for a full set since she basically had to remove everything she had on, at the beginning she mentions we are pretending like the entire set of nails is exactly like the blue glitter ombre one.
What if you use the swarovski pixie stones instead of the glitter how much would you charge then? Just curious. I love this contents makes me feel that all is right in the world. Gives me the confidence to keep my prices and not waiver. Thanks so much for this.
Pixie stones cost me 39.00, so if I used 1/2 the jar on this design I would add about $80 to the bill. I have to be able to repurchase those supplies again and make a profit on my "time & artistic flair" for the design and the initial nails..... So $182.00
@@d-gsnails6390 well that price "may be a bit steep for some" but you do have to take into account all the products you use and how much it takes to rebuy them. You must always remember that if you are using a high cost item, charge them no less than double because you do have to repurchase the supplies and you should always make a profit while being able to pay yourself for the work without losing a penny.
I'm a bit confused. I can see in the inspo pic the tech used two Swarovski crystals on the pinky, a bunch of ss7 on the ring fingers, likely clear cavair or Swarovski Crystal pixie, and a bunch of crystals on the index fingers.. However in the video, Tracey proceeds to just use glitter to make a facsimile instead of the actual art. Is the objective to give us a price range?
I would love to know how much time you allocate to do the removal and new set also if you culd break it down removal ..... apply....artwork that would be awesome, maybe you could change it to how much and how long should it take Thanks Cath
I’m not sure if it got cut out but did Tracey have to rough up the top of the mani q with a file before doing the clear sculpture/stones? Also, she did not wipe the sticky layer after sugaring into the mani q... I am trying to do this exact process... please let me know

Im a nail tech in Trinidad. We could never charge that here and have repeat business. It comes down to cost of living. Our exchange rate would be at about $7 TTD to $1 USD. At that rate this set would be over $700. Only the elite techs can charge that and get away with it and yet still their stuff is much more bling etc than this. I do more elaborate things than this daily and average about 250 - 300 TTD per set thats about 45 - 50 USD. Its just not possible with our economy to charge like this. I do enjoy the series tho gives me an idea of what the world market is like.
People just wouldn’t pay this sort of money in the UK where I live. There’s so many techs only charging from between £25 to £35. There’s also a lot of techs only charging between £15 to £20. It makes me sick because there’s so much work gos into working as a nail tech and people just don’t realise or appreciate this. I’ll be starting out soon and I’ve been training for 6 years to perfect all my skills. This is disheartening I just don’t know what to do over pricing. I’ll be working from home after Christmas and would really appreciate some advice on this. Thanks. ♥️💜♥️🤩
I think people do just pay more in the states anyway, remember it is much cheaper living there in general than here. Could you imagine anyone paying close to 50 quid for a set of nails here? No chance! Even though these were a super pretty set, considering gems are so cheap and so is glitter I think $107 is extortionate.
Heres the thing, others should not be determining your pricing. Does it factor in? Of course ,but you need to figure out how much you need to charge to pay for your supplies used, rent, and to pay yourself and your bills. If someone comes to you and can only afford 30 pounds then they get a basic set if that's what you need to charge for a basic set. Don't give them a blinged out set because you'll be working for free. You need to charge your worth and also give amazing quality. You will not have trouble getting clients
